No Problem. We had always planned to have the sign for the reasons you suggest. -

Thanks for all of the comments guys. The Park is only 98% finished, we are still tidying up a few last strings. One of those (which we didn't see immediately as a priority) is a sign at the site of Bounty's Revenge boat commemorating her service and a bit about her history. It will realistically be a few weeks away. We also had the CEO and family from DW here on Saturday and while I cannot go into specifics, he was very complimentary. Both Inferno and Water Mountain will be added to over the next 12 months. We had the option to paint the Inferno ride itself but once we had it erected and working fine, we didn't want to risk taking her down again and so will likely paint and finish off the decking next winter (assuming she is reliable all this season). I rode her on Friday and she's feeling fast, smooth and back to her best I'd say. Mark. -

Exactly. Unless there is an explosion of population and tourism, its not viable. Sadly. -

Tim We debated changing the name however have decided to stay with the name but the Water Mountain logo will definitely have that Gold rush theme. -

Iwerks In response to your comment on the trees, I agree, I would have hoped they would have been a little bigger at $300 a pop! Thats what you get though apparently and with irrigation and plenty of sunshine I am told they should double in size each year so they will look great in a few years time. Congrats on the Platinum pass. Mark. -

Tim There is a mix of theming elements in the photo. Some is water mountain gold rush theming, some is additions to DK and some is Kraken/Bucaneer Battles. 90% will be done and installed before the 22nd. Mark That is correct. -

Exclusive Parkz Media Release: Three weeks prior to opening the 2016/17 season, Adventure World already has guests planning ahead - announcing the signing of a contract for a new $7.5m attraction slated for September 2017. Codenamed “Mi3”, the new arrival continues the group’s commitment to bringing ground breaking theme park experiences to Western Australia. Mi3 will be the largest ride of its type in Australia, with a cutting edge feature that Adventure World CEO Mark Shaw advises “will literally launch guests to new heights”. “We set the benchmark with Abyss and Kraken and have spent the past year scouring the globe for a new attraction that will continue to up the ante. Having road tested four of these attractions across three continents, we are confident we have got it right and can’t wait to introduce this exciting new concept to WA” While planning continues for Mi3’s arrival, this year guests will see a number of improvements in the park. A re-themed Water Mountain, enhanced water effects on Rapids, the relaunch of the Freefall, under the new name “Inferno”, more private resort-style cabanas in Dragon Kingdom and Kahuna Falls, a lush new lawn area, and a new exclusive season pass holder entry. The season will also see the return of the popular Fright Nights events, which kick off in just under 8 weeks, along with the launch of “Summer Nights” in February, where guests can enjoy balmy summer nights at Adventure World with a live DJ. Season passes are now on Early Bird Sale at adventureworld.net.au, and pay for themselves in under three visits. Iwerks, as a rule of thumb, double the cost of the ride to get total project cost. -

Tim Thanks. The strategy will be mostly every 2 years for the foreseabble future. There maybe a back to back year where we dont have big infrastructure costs or perhaps a smaller attraction expansion (DK for example or similar pre-school market). In the next few years we have to spend $1.5m on a new HV ring main to expand our power capacity and following year expanding car parking again which may mean moving maintenance areas and offices. Not cheap. Mark -

Alex We did not get too much notice about the end of the Bountys life span. When we did we investigated second hand replacements but couldnt find anything suitable to our criteria. MI3 will certainly more than make up for the loss of Bountys. Yes, it has been considered and is still an option. A lot depends on trading conditions as to when. -

All Bountys was old, there comes a point with everything that it has to retire. We would have loved to have kept her for longer but it wasnt possible for safety reasons (and those decisions are made well in advance of any real safety threat just to be certain) The gentleman's comments above are just plain factually incorrect and we spoke to him directly and suggested he remove the post and I believe he then did. Some parts are going to Fun Fields in Victoria and the boat itself will sit at the bottom of the Kraken hill with a new detail and tentacles as if Kraken had taken her in the dark depths of winter. Mi3 contract is being tweaked tonight with a man in Europe (?) and will be the biggest of its kind in Australia at around $7.5m. We have two locations being considered for the ride. Thats all I can tell you. Some one mentioned thats two attractions that have been removed: obviously Paddles was removed a few years ago and I believe the new lawn will be a great addition to the park and gives us plenty of space for shows etc.. Inferno returns this year after a years sabatical and a change of personality so I guess that makes it evens along with some great other additions in the Park enhancing what is already there, including a much improved water mountain theme. I would appreciate if these comments are not copied onto any FB pages as these dialogues are meant to be between our community. I would not want to have to crawl back under a rock and cease communications if this trust was breached! Thanks Mark -

Hi all. Adventure World is not actually suing Cardille. Our Insurance underwriters have decided to take action but was of course reported in the press as Adventure World. Correct. Poor reporting as often is the case. The fire was spotted long after anyone was left in the Park save for a few team members/managers doing their clean up at about 11.35pm from memory. Just under $4m in all. A lot of that is not seen (as in plant and IT etc.) and the deposit for MI3 The pegs are for a new Season Pass entry that will see members having Car Park 2 as their car park and their own dedicated entrance point. On our big days last year it was clear that the increase in the number of members and people purchasing online tickets plus corporates and groups was causing some tensions and bottlenecks so the move has been made to separate these. Water Mountain and Freefall (now to be renamed "INFERNO" are modest refurbishments that will likely be added to next winter but I think it will look much better. -

Tim I'll add all of the above to the shopping list. Watch out for some changes to water mountain over the winter. MI3 is on the verge of being decided for next winter (and I think you will like the addition but its not quite up there with a B&M or indoor coaster). I can also confirm the Café is about to have a makeover this winter. Mark
