Hi Tim At present looking around 2nd week in October but that may change depending on weather conditions given the site is not the easiest for access due to the levels.

Busted! how did you guys figure all that out? Pretty much, or perhaps a few days before if they can mobilise fast enough.

I understand the comments about getting larger and losing control of the detail etc., but coming from Merlin where our teams there were far bigger than MW/DW I'm certain we have the resources, passion and skills to continue to expand without losing focus and whole team commitment. I'm also 100% committed to AW for the long term.

I would love to do all of the suggestions here and do them all now but sadly Perth's population will not support such huge investments. Ours is a longer term strategy though and we will not compromise on quality of attractions, it may just mean being more patient to do things well rather than doing lots of smaller attractions more regularly.

Update on MI2 Currently on schedule for late September/early October. Slightly over budget, probably closer to $6m just now. Theming designs look AWesome and I am confident we will pull them off. steel columns arriving in the next 3 weeks probably Team excited to get going on it and deliver a world class attraction. The world's steepest and longest................. ???? There is a possibility of invites to the VIP launch being extended to the current topic community. I will make announcements here a few hrs before any media releases and will give you all a heads up a week in advance.

Hi all. We do have a huge archive of photo's, some videos, files, signs, etc. I have in mind one day a small walk through museum on site but we shall see how that plays out. Hi Jacob In answer to your question, Luna Park does not have any wet product. By contrast Adventure World has around 50% of its product being wet which seriously deters guests visiting as soon as the mercury drops below 27 degrees. If you look at Adventure Park in Geelong which has a similar mix to ours you will see their season is actually shorter than ours and for that reason. Thanks for raising the question though. Lol, lunch was delicious thanks. we have done a fair bit of work on our Caesar salad of late and I'm pleased to say its probably an 8/10 now where I would have given it a 6/10 previously. We replaced the dry chicken breast with chicken tenders (so moist) worked on improving the flavour of the croutons, added a choice of salad with anchovies, changed the parmesan to shaved rather than powder, browned off the bacon lardons better and are just working finally on a better homemade sauce (then it will be a 9/10!). I have been eating Caesar salad probably 90% of the time for the past few months while we try different things and I can honestly say I'm looking forward to turning my attention to other food products! The Chicken Tikki burger is now improved with a bit more flavour too if anyone wants to try it and feedback. Mark

Thanks to you we have checked the speed of the chair lift and found for some reason it was operating on its slowest setting for a while there! it is now fixed and running 3 times faster! I have passed on your comments about the food. Generally you will have found Perth food and drinks prices are a bit pricey and unfortunately due to the resources boom, inflation in that area has been quite sharp in a typical supply/demand response. That means our cost base for purchasing food and beverage produce has also gone up quite sharply. In contrast our retail prices have averaged around 1% increase per annum for the past 3 years as we attempted to provide better value to our guests whilst also raising the bar in terms of quality. Generally speaking we are in line with the Perth high street. Its a work in progress though and we continue to try and leverage volume growth with suppliers to bring unit costs down and then pass this on to our guests. We are lucky to have a great team here who are gaining the benefit of working together for some time now, passionate, connected, focussed and capable. We will continue our commitment to continuously improve our product and have an exciting 8 year plan being fine tuned right now. Population constraints here in Perth do tend to have a downward pressure on the scale of our investments but as long as we see demand and growth in relation to the investments then we will keep investing. Aside from that we continue to focus on park presentation standards and most importantly, guest/team member interactions and service. That is an AWesome photo!! Mark

Tim We are just experience a few speed bumps and challenges in the project just now (as is common with very large projects) and so I would feel more comfortable sharing once we have overcome the turbulence just in case there are any last minute changes we need to make. That would be in around 4-5 weeks time. Reanimated, steel starts to bend above 40 degrees so its safer to not take risks and close the ride and that is Gerstlauer's formal recommendation. It only happened once this season I believe.

I'll check on the skylift speed and get back to you. It is slow! The Abyss would probably have been running at max speed on Sunday due to the 40 degree heat (hence the jolts). Hope you had a great day. its a bit hot though today! We also have our "Big Day out" event on for the patients and families of Ward B3 oncology at Princess Margaret Hospital today so there are a few additional entertainment things going on for them. Its our favourite day of the whole year,.... being able to do something nice for these families.

we would foresee some issues of people messing around and trying to spoil for others so we would have to take measures to address this and I'll speak to the operations guys about that sort of stuff. I'm not promising anything because there are challenges around maintenance and management presence all night that may be a stumbling block but I promise we will discuss. You might be on to something with that camp out idea! I'll talk to the team and see what they think. No hanging out your dirty laundry on the guide ropes though!

MI2 will launch late Sept/early October 2015 latest. Plans look really good currently. work starts on ground early April.

Hi Grrofunger I'm glad your all enjoying AW. In answer to your question yes you are able to purchase fast passes at the Season pass entry gate but only at one of the terminals on the left hand side where they are set up with EFTPOS. SP member queues are not particularly long at 10.00am, usually most people would be in the park within 15 mins (if you want to make the most of a long day) otherwise come at 10.30am and walk straight in!
