They must have been hanging out in the carpark all day waiting for something to go wrong to get that footage! Such a joke!

Favourites Superman Wild West Falls Green Lantern (front row with on board audio is surprisingly incredible) Jet Rescue Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin Indiana Jones Adventure: Temple of the Forbidden Eye Least Favourites I have an unhealthy hatred for Junior Driving School I find elements of Snow Whites scary adventure questionable at best I don’t really care for drop based tower rides

I’m sure the attraction will be fantastically executed and be of a decent quality, I just feel from a theme park as a whole situation, it doesn’t really fit stylistically with the rest of the park in that location. The fact the DC Comics presence is outweighing (even more so) the Movie presence is what I find abysmal. Having said that, it might lead to a potential DC themed Stunt show in the arena I wouldn’t be against.

Maybe it could be an altered version of sorts. Like with Green Lantern Doubling the capacity of an El Loco (not that it came with its own problems). Perhaps Movie World have asked for some sort of new element making it less boring looking, because out of the box it looks a bit average. There is also the possibility intamin has a new type of ride all together planed altogether. For the “World Class” branding I would expect it to be something amazing. Having said that “Worlds first” was never quoted so perhaps the theming will play a large role in the experience?

What do you think is the best dark ride in Australia?
Hypermarket Hero replied to Bailz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
That drop was talked about for weeks after I visited as a 5 year old! I used to love the Looney Tunes River Ride. It was perfect for the park. Maybe not the best Dark Ride in Australia but by far one of the best placed and themed in the context of the park. Didn’t it have the same kind of premise of Gremlins of a Studio Tour that turns into an “unexpected” ride. -
I think the ghost town as it is has the most effects in the ride at the moment and is probably the strongest themeing and effects wise when everything is working (this is about 70% of the time). To be absolutely honest for an 18 million dollar investment the story (if any) isn’t a very one which makes it more of a great hits of western clichés (which I have no problem with). The one thing that kills the experience for me at the moment is the faded and stained backdrop with all the tepees on it, I feel it would be way more effective without it (having said that I’m sure it’s blocking something even worse that would take away from your experience). I like this bridge idea greatly! And if they reinstate the smoke and some spark like fibre optics there might be a chance of creating something similar to the old drop? With the new rides being built down the WWF end of the park I wonder if this will impact the outdoor sections secluded feeling or provide illusion shattering views of the mountain from the new ride/s (assuming its some sort of tall structure)

I am all for this alleged WWF overhaul! Especially if the section just before the last drop is given a much more impressive ending than just a strobe light and some sound effects. Probably based on the rides history we won’t be seeing any spark or flame effects despite my greatest wishes. I hope this is true!

Ha! I am most certainly not a movie world employee or a clue, I’m just a person like you that loves theme parks! Personally for the parks sake I would like a something on the WWF/Scooby end of the spectrum. High capacity, mild thrills, immersive experience with a mixture of indoor and outdoor sections. Something to fill the void of an attraction that would be palatable to a wide audience of thrill tolerances. But on the other end I would love an expanded western area with a woodie but that’s just me compensating for the lack of Dollywood in Australia, I’m a sucker for country western themed anything!

Firstly hello, I've been a long time Visitor first time posting. On my trip to movie world today the old western section was newly fenced in that all too familiar hedge print (the print was still waving in the breeze and wasn't zipped tied at the bottom yet. The old corpse in the coffin from the old western area has now been moved to just outside Wild West falls heavily suggesting the fencing off is a permanent closing of the area. This most likely means the new ride or perhaps new themed area or both will be going in the old western area as we all speculated and suggested. Changes in the area next to ricks cafe are continuing with an arch like wall being built possibly the new cast member entry as has been speculated.
