  1. Well it's not for them. It's a family ride, considering just about everything else in the park is high end thrill I think it's OK if teenagers don't like it.
  2. If I were a betting man, I'd say for the Xmas holidays, they're not going to want to run the park during peak season without the Flume. It's anyone's guess really though.
  3. Yeah that's a good way of doing it, and on reflection would probably work better than my plan. They're now just counting on no Human error, ever (but that is the case no matter how it was set up)
  4. I think the idea of ride ops controlling each car on a cycle by cycle basis is a dangerous one. Really, it's people doing it, and it would be inevitable that eventually someone is going to get the intense ride they don't want/can't handle and there would be all sorts of hell to pay, plus ops double checking each cars prefered intencity will slow down the cycle time. I reckon it'd be best to have set vehicles do a tame program and make them look obviously different and make sure the guests in the queue know the difference (as well as directing them to the correct cars at boarding time). The only drawback with that is Dreamworld would only have one chance to get the proportion of tame rides v intense rides correct, but to me that makes the most sense.
  5. Thanks Reanimated, I had a quick look for the original thread when the new one was made, couldn't find it, and just assumed it was in the "Off topic" thread. For everyone's convenience I have merged both threads.
  6. ^ maybe it's just me but I'm not really seeing the resemblance.
  7. Re-read that one Gazza, he said "than it would have been"
  8. speculatingpresent participle of spec·u·late (Verb) Verb: [*]Form a theory or conjecture about a subject without firm evidence.
  9. RWC you lost that little debate. For tha sanity of all any further debate on Skyloops from you will result in a 1 day ban. I'm not joking.
  10. I don't know, hitting a staionary guest stroller with your car and showing no concern in uniform on company property seems very close to a stackable offense to me. It's definitely possible to be sacked for what you do out of work if there's a policy for it.
  11. Insert my standard "there doesn't seem to be any coherent plan but instead shit is being made up on the fly, exsisting customers be dammed" rant.
  12. Have I got the wrong Zamperla Air Race? Looks pretty thrilling/unfamily friendly to me:
  13. Rip off I agree, but why be rude to the vendor?
  14. The area behind Movie World is called "Studio Village". True story.
  15. You can ride what ever you want to, there is no problem. However, people are saying there's little point spending the time in line given the experience is the same as always, and you can ride it without the queues and not at the expense of unique experiences during normal operation. Having said that though if you want to go on Scooby, feel free, it's there, it's open and day or night it's still fun.
  16. It was easy to miss, for reasons best known to Movie World, the shows they had (there were 2 from memory) took place just before and after the parade. Problem with that of course is that before the parade is when when the best viewing areas for the shows (IE the middle of the street) are being cleared of guests, and after was when people were leaving en masse so no ones paying attention to the lights.
  17. All the shops are to the left. That's the answer
  18. Assuming they're using the down ramp in this new ride, it'd have to be redone anyway since the current down ramp is totally different to water coaster track.
  19. 2 things I'd do differently: open WWF, and get rid of that "ice skating" thing in the plaza. If they insist on having it, then move it to near superman or western town. Also more lights!
  20. I suspect you can expect a little of both with this ride.
  21. Does it really matter if people like their own posts though?
  22. Just need a way to have the scores appear on the on ride photo that way everyone is happy.
  23. I think he only fires twice, but agreed the audio in the queue is hopeless and desperately needs addressing.
  24. Are you kidding? It's appalling that they changed the price without telling anyone, and it's symptomatic of a sales department that has no well thought out strategy, but mearly make things up on the fly, and to hell with what that means for the customers. Same thing happens with the VIP passes every year, and now they are pissing people off with Fright Nights. If Movie World said right from the start: these nights are more expensive, no one reasonable would be complaining, but try didn't, they jacked up the price halfway through the season. It IS poor form, and there's no getting around it.
