Indeed, they mention the fact that both Viking's and Lassiter's Lost Mine came it amazingly cheap for how good they were. Same thing happens today to some extent: You try and tell the average American that Superman is only AU$15mil- IF you could?
Why would you want to stop Shrek? I really have a hard time understanding people. Who cares what studio it is? I don't, nor will the guests. Watch the attendance spike and tell me I'm wrong.- **NEWS** Little green martian to be replaced by big green ogre **NEWS**
I think the bit you should be reading is that they have no information. That is, they don't have any press releases, any confirmed new that they can pass on. When its something like a new attraction, its a good idea to leave it to the marketing people to announce it and any details, and it'll all go out at once, not one e-mail with the details here and there.- Least favorite
Well there's nothing at Wet 'n' Wild that I wouldn't go on given that chance, I'd probably say Speed Coaster, and purely because first time I went on it I queued for ages. These days I've learnt that it’s the sort of slide you can enjoy fine so long as you can get straight on- **NEWS** Little green martian to be replaced by big green ogre **NEWS**

I've seen it on the Gold Coast, and heaps of Sydney people seem to have seen it... Keep watching TV- Movement @ the station
That'd be a nice idea actually, though rather then be a stand alone thing would be quite nice to see at one of the main city museums. Would it fit in with any of the city museums? Brisbane Museum had a good thing on Expo, so it could work for Wonderland.- **NEWS** Little green martian to be replaced by big green ogre **NEWS**
He got everything except the year and the name of the park right lol I'm very excited about this now, I'm sure everyone has been seeing the ads that have started playing in the last couple of days, makes you feel good knowing so much cool stuff is coming up.- Site Maintenance
Nev – Go into my controls at the top of the page, then under options, go to board settings, and set the time to 10hours+ and that should set the board time right for you.- cyclone - no limts
I think Bullfrog's "Theme Park" from 1994 is better then RCT3, so I don't know if I'm the one to be asking. Its a really good simulation program, but the thing of it is that there is no gameplay, so you have to have a goal in mind to enjoy it.- cyclone - no limts
- What do YOU want in replacement of the Thunderbolt?
Least they didn't waste much money on it.- History lesson
A real good article this. I read it many years ago in a book, which deals with the history of the Gold Coast: "The real Surfers Paradise". Its a late 80's book, and each chapter deals with a different area of the Gold Coast, from the 5star hotels (of the late 80's remember) the proposed new monorail in Broadbeach, the new casino, and the nightlife of the time, as well as chapters about the 50's and 60's. The chapter that I've stumbled across deals with the development of the spit, and in particular on Seaworld's development. Quite possibly the most remarkable part is the transcripts are found on Seaworld's official website, and the article can be found here.- Macquarie Leisure announces 'Citywalk on Coomera'
I went to school across from Robina Town Center. Everyone thought it looked like a prison that was painted pretty colours. Not my ideal shopping center I can tell you; aside from the bad layout, what’s the go with the town square bit in the middle? If you look, it’s pretty obvious that it’s a circle.- Time for a little dreaming
Yeah, a themed launch coaster. That'd be cool if Movieworld got one of those. Isn't it funny how these dreaming threads work out? Good to see that we're getting a ride thats going to poop all over IJ: ST in any case. On another side note, all we need now is the replacement for Looney Tunes and its 3/3 for MickeyD- Favourite Ride/s @ Dreamworld
I love the Wipeout. Perfectly themed for what it is, looks impressive, fun ride, and not so overpowering that it ruins the surrounding area. A real gem of a ride.- **NEWS** Little green martian to be replaced by big green ogre **NEWS**
Its not that they're too cheap to make their own (Warner has to be involved with the whatever it is that’s going into Madrid) its just that Shrek is A. More marketable B. Probably better. Lets face it, the Mask is pretty old, and Son of the Mask has kind of ruined the Mask for most people. BTW, Wild West Falls is not themed to any particular film, just the entire Western Genre. The Western Action Show was also not themed to anything Warner Brothers. Others have already mentioned Hi-5 and Marilyn Monroe, well add Pokemon to that list; all of the singers from Superstars live in concert (which was a major if short-lived attraction) and that’s a mighty big list of non- WB stuff. By the way, the aforementioned still doesn't include the non - WB music around the park, decor, and who knows what else. Now can we stop flogging the dead horse, and can more people please come forward and say they don’t think its happening - its funny.- Macquarie Leisure announces 'Citywalk on Coomera'
I think it translates roughly as "Your wrong, but probably right"- **NEWS** Little green martian to be replaced by big green ogre **NEWS**
I think you’ve missed the point: Shrek 4D is rated at least equal, if not higher then every 4D movie out there, with the exception of Mickey's Philarmagic – and with good reason, it’s an excellent movie. The fact that it’s not Warner Brothers is a pretty weak reason not to have it. I see what your saying (Its not WB) but really, who cares? I’m not going to say no to a brilliant new attraction. Its based on a Movie, and that’s good enough for me. I must admit though, I love comment that about Shrek that it “was brought in only for the purpose of attracting visitors”. Dude, it’s a theme park. New things are built to attract guests, hence why they call them ‘attractions’.- **NEWS** Little green martian to be replaced by big green ogre **NEWS**
Lets make this fun, who else thinks it won't be Shrek?- **NEWS** Little green martian to be replaced by big green ogre **NEWS**
Really? Tell us, why won't it be Shrek?- Track has arrived at Movie World!
Ian has a few and will hopefully be updating in the next couple of days. Imagine the train going the other way, and you've pretty much got Superman's top hat. Besides the height, its exaclty the same.- Should CityWalk go ahead?
I'll probably move the relevant stuff here later on, but for the moment you'll have to have a look at that link to get a gist of the convo Personally, I can't see over saturation of the market being a good enough reason for stopping this. Robina Town Center is not that far from Pacific Fair, and there are allot of people who flip a coin on which they go to. Just across the road from Pacific Fair is the Oasis, itself a sizable shopping center, which is bordered by another shopping district. Even with Westfield, all those people who live North of Dreamworld (and there are ALOT of said people north of Dreamworld) would be without a local shopping center. if there were no CityWalk. Conversely, without Westfield but with CityWalk, there are those people at Studio Village that have still got nothing. I think both would be viable even taking the other into account. The only reason I wouldn't want this to go ahead would be that the shopping center might be more profitable then Dreamworld, and may slowly take over. And before everyone starts saying that, it’s about .0000001% chance of happening (i.e. not likely).- Track has arrived at Movie World!
