Hey Richard, is there a link to the user albums under this new re-themeing?

Ok, so Luna Park Melbourne was closed down in 2001 for 6 months, I've got one question... What did they change? Which rides are new, which have been done up, and what didn't see attention though it really should've *cough* Senic Railway?

Sorry, but the idea of land animals makes me sick. They haven't got the land to waste on something that can be seen almost everywhere else. The idea of an impulse is good, but that is the last bit of real estate, and I think that they can do better. Although I'd still be pretty happy if we got one

Gum Tree Gully has seen its better days. Its a beautiful spot in the park, but is without anything resembling an attraction. Personally, I think they should've left the old anamatronics show in, that way they wouldn't have had to cancel the show on the Captain Sturt Paddlewheeler, which was the only reason to go on the boat, and was actually funny. With the way it is now, they've got a theatre they aren't using, and a boat ride no one goes on (it was only doing 2 laps a day last time I was there, compared to a minimum of 4 in the past), and a very nice area of the park going un used..

All the parks are using less water (SW's cut its water consumption by around 75%). Personally, I think Dreamworld is just trying to suck up to locals by pretending that their saving water by turning off the fountains, even though all the fountains recycle water. Plus it saves power by turning fountains off.

Have Wonderland made up their mind on what they are doing yet? Last I heard they were torn between two projects? BTW boycotta, I want to introduce you to the idea that most park staff are like Mushrooms. How so? Well their kept in the dark and fed on BS. Not all staff know whats going on

Wonderland is getting a clone of Spiderman Rocks!

Holy crap! No fire? What a jib BTW... What is an Intamin transport system? I figured Bermuda was a boat ride like ours? Our Looney Tunes ride is similar, but instead of going to the black forest, you just go down to Australia. Our new Batman ride is pretty ok, but I personally prefer the old 'live action' version.

Well, I really don't want to judge a show by a few photos, but that show does look particularly tacky. The fact that they couldn't be bothered to change the sets in any committed way doesn't suggest a great deal of thought went into the show. The Police Cars have still got the police academy logo, and the whole thing kinda reminds me of "Super Stars Live in Concert"s evil twin. I'll try and check it out when I'm over that side of the world, since I hate criticising something based only on the photos (even if I just did it )

The latest info I have comes in the form of this really blurry photo that shows the Cyclone Controll thingie with new and improved themeing (Empty plastic bottles mainly)

Had a look at the photos, very impressive (much better then my efforts with film ) Personally fav. would probably be the shot of Space Probe falling, even if it does make the ride look really short . You should upload all your Wonderland Photos to the Wonderland Album so there easy to see in the future... Plus you'd yet another person to beat Richard to the task of doing Wonderland photos (No offence Richie) Keep up the good work Flea!

Thats the way, sadly I'm going to miss both the opening of the new 3-D film and the new and improved 'Whirlpool'. Darn it, I'll be stuck with re-rides of Oblivion, Nemisis and everything in the United Kingdom... I suppose thats not all bad though

Not sure what Seaworld's numbers were, but we were also quite busy all day. Tell ya something, I'm quite glad to see the end of Harry Potter. Maybe I'm not in the correct demographic or something, but it really did nothing for me. Bring on the matrix, I think Movieworld have learnt allot from Harry Potter, and I'm sure it will be a case of '3rd time lucky'

Since I'll wait for Wayne to get back to us with regard to Wonderland (no disrespect Boycotta), I'd just like to suggest a re-theme: Space Probe - Premature E-Jack (Since the rides over before it starts) New live shows wouldn't have to be very imaginative, just start with say, Spiderman going for a job interview, and let the show write itself.

Now there's a park I'd always remember....

I seem to recall someone telling me the prices to keep the effects running, sadly that was a few years back and the exact figures escape me for the moment. But indeed, the Pirates film is rented from Iwerks, as is the projector, and soundtrack. About 25% of costs are paid for by the films sponser; Pauls Dairyfeild. Just a thought, when this new film opens its going to be the 5th year exactly since Pirates was brought into the park. Maybe it could have something to do with the lease agreement expiring? Quite a few of the other parks playing Pirates have replaced their films recently (with mostly Haunted Lighthouse which as you'll read, isn't particularly well rated), and those parks which have replaced Pirates must have been playing Pirates for a similar sort of timeline. Just a thought anyway. I haven't heard about any extra sensory effects in the new film, but I dare say it won't have half the effects that are in Pirates, which will probably save around $10,000 over the space of a year. One promising thing I haven't yet mentioned, is that it is apparently the soon to be new film has been playing at a park in Europe, and has is now the highest rating attraction in the parks 100year history (9/10 for those playing along at home).

From what I can tell, the film follows the story of a Panda who meets other types of animals. The film is billed as being educational, increasing environmental awareness, and also being very 'cute'. Personally, I'm not sure about this one. I'm under the impression that this was somewhat one of those last minute "impulse" buys, after all, Steve Peet did just come back from a holiday in Europe. I dare say this will be a replacement to Seaworld's current 3D film, Pirates, which opened in 1997, and I'll hold out before passing judgement on this, but personally, I think that if something isn't broken, don't fix it, and I'm yet to hear a park guest say bad things about Pirates. I'd prefer something was done about Ski Challenge or Reef Discovery before 'fixing' the 3D movie.

Curious Bettlecoaster, how do the original rides (Gremlins, Bermuda, Batman & Looney Tunes River Ride) compare to the rides you've been on? It'd be interesting to get an international perspective on clones of the rides we've got here.

I don't blame Dreamworld for having a little swipe, but unfortunattly..... Yet on another page...... Oh well, good to hear that the ride rotations are over, not that it would have affected my trip to the park since I don't do either Batman or Harry Potter.
