Which Park.....If Any?
I was going to delete this, but thought I'd just lock it to show that we do moderate a little bit.

Super 8 Aqua Racer
Aqua Racers is one of the most 'fun' rides in the park to me. It's not the tallest, fastest or anything else, but the racing element makes it pure fun. It's got a huge capacity, and despite there being little to it, is massively re-rideable. I wouldn't like to see it changed or demolished, since I think it would take away from what makes it fun, and building a replica of what's down the road or something similar isn't going to excite people to come to the park. Also, am I the only person who thinks Super Tubes is kind of lame?

Adventure World New Coaster - Abyss
This sort of thing comes up often. Here's the thing; 'best' is a subjective term, no one can be wrong when they say they think something is the 'best'. For that reason, it makes a good line in marketing, since no one can prove an opinion like that wrong. Honestly though, they might have a legit claim for that title in this case. I know quite a few people who think Green Lantern is the best coaster on the Gold Coast, and they've been on every ride and not trying to come up with marketing hype. Judging from the POVs, I'd say it's probably better than Green Lantern, so IMHO, calling Abyss the "best coaster in Australia" really isn't that crazy a claim, many people will probably agree.

Fright Night 2013
Just a bit of a thought; if you're ok with making Fright Nights more expensive so you can do more mazes, why not buy a Fast Track and treat it as the extra cost of entry? I mean let's face it; most of us get free entry with VIP passes, so if you buy a $40 Fast Track wouldn't that be the same as just paying $40 for entry without having to wait? Just throwing it out there.

Dreamworld Job - Casting Call?
It depends on how they feel like doing it, based on all the different stories I've heard. I'm pretty sure it changes. I once went through a group interview, and at the end was asked to stay back with a few others to confirm some details on a form we all filled out. After everyone else had left we were told that we had all been successful in our application and start dates were confirmed. Sometimes they'll call you later if you were successful, it just depends on how they want to do it.

Queensland Government Launches "Theme Park Capital" Campaign
The only thing I agree with you with AlexB is that DW shouldn't replace Cyclone. Let's break it down: * Investment in animals at Dreamworld will result in massive increases to costs with no extra revenue. Bollocks. Adding Tigers to Dreamworld has been a massive win for the park. Tigers were introduced to Dreamworld the same year that an $18million flume ride opened at Movie World, and that massive blockbuster ride was smashed by tigers. If you're talking Aussie natives only, well they may not have that same impact, but an increased offering does make the park easier to sell to tour groups, and any animal that Asian guests can be pose for a photo with is a license to print money. Aussie animals are also low maintenance, and require only simple enclosures. * If Dreamworld removed Motocoaster and reimagined that section of the park, it would be a positive. It really is an abject failure of a ride. It's low capacity, is complex, requires custom expensive parts to maintain, offers a poor ride experience, has too many rider restrictions, is a OH&S hazard for ops staff, and takes up a large piece of prime land. Any return that they were going to get from the ride will be well and truly got by now. I don't say get rid of it for the sake of getting rid of it, but I think it's perfectly acceptable for Dreamworld to be looking at that land for a potential future investment. * Sea World doesn't have enough diversity of attractions to compare with the US parks? What the? What part of 2 (soon 3) coasters, a flume ride, 5 totally different live shows, 5 kids rides, 8 animal exhibats, Monorail chair lift, splash battle and massive kids playground isn't a diverse range of attractions? Oh and a 3D theater, Dino walk through, and a slew of extra charge opportunities to interact with animals and an onsite hotel? Honestly what are you on about with this one? The only reason I can think that you'd say this only because they don't have Orcas, but Orcas aside there is little tangible differnce between that parks. So yeah, I'm pretty much with aaronm, except for the comments about replacing Cyclone. A new decent full scale coaster to replace Cyclone as Dreamworlds signature coaster for sure, but Cyclone isn't (and shouldn't be) going anywhere anytime soon.

Adventure World New Coaster - Abyss
Buzzsaw? 600pph? That's 50 dispatches an hour, not going to happen. I'd be genuinely surprised if Buzzsaw gets to 300pph. It'd be interesting to know if 600 is based off some unrealistic assumptions like Buzzsaw or if it's based off the proven operational record of other similar rides. Well, it'd be interesting to me anyway, most people have better things to do with their time

Wet 'n' Wild Sydney Construction
$10 more for a one day admission than WnW GC, plus the fact that adult pricing cuts in waaay earlier. I get both the push for season ticket sales, and pricing themselves high enough to prevent the park getting slammed, it's just amazing to me how high that is.
-
Wet 'n' Wild Sydney Construction
Sweet Jesus that's expensive, and adult prices will kick in between ages 5-6 for boys despite the fact there'll still be many attractions they can't go on, plus the thing about parking not being included. Good luck with that one WnW PR.

Fright Night 2013
I wouldn't skip the darkness, but my advice would be if the queue is nearly to Gothom cafe, skip it and come back later.

Farewell Dreamworld's Steam Trains
I think they're just trying to make the best of a bad management decision. I seem to recall someone at Village using the same line when Bermuda lost it's fire.

Queensland Government Launches "Theme Park Capital" Campaign
All of Goldrush Country, and the area connecting to Blue Lagoon needs a proper redevelopment, the river and Island near Billabong cafe is also up for grabs'. By the time they've done that, 20 years will have elapsed and the Big Brother production space will be fair game.

Fright Night 2013
Man, it took me the better part of 3 weeks to get through the queue ay! Obviously that should say 30/60 mins

HSD set. I didn't notice until Gazza pointed it out.

Fright Night 2013
Depends on the time of the night. The mazes got very busy as the night wore on 30160 min queues at their peak), but like I say, if you get there at opening an head straight to Walking Dead you should be able to get in with minimal waiting.

Haha missed that one, that's kinda cool to see Kenny have a day out at Movie World. In answer to your question Gazza, no they don't. I told a friend of mine that a park in Perth was getting a pretty cool looking roller coaster, and was met with the response "Is there a park in Perth??"

Fright Night 2013
I'd say go to Walking dead and Evil Dead before they get busy, and wait till after rides close to do The Darkness. It's worth going through, but it's also worth waiting for the crowd to die down.

Queensland Government Launches "Theme Park Capital" Campaign
It's been a long time overdue, but I'm glad it's happening. Past government promotions for the Gold Coast almost seemed embarrassed to mention the theme parks, and instead focused on sophisticated latte' drinkers (as if the Gold Coast is the cafe capital of Australia), and the parks themselves seem to have eased off on going after domestic tourists in recent years focusing almost exclusively on locals instead. Should be fun to see what the campaign looks like. EDIT: Just in response to the post above mine: The best research seems to say that a new ride won't be enough to motivate more visitors to the Coast any more, short of building a whole new park, a more targeting marketing push like this seems like a smart move.

Fright Night 2013
The Darkness is this years "Also ran" maze. I'd say your friend was unlucky to not get a few scares in there though, I noticed quite a few actors in there when I went through. Ultimately though, the maze is cursed with being crammed into Scooby's queue, which means the choice is either plain walls to make it long as possible, or well themed and stupidly short. For my personal taste, I'd think it would be scarier if it was genuinely pitch black, rather than the current 'quite dark' maze it is. You'd have to arm the actors with something so they could see in the dark of course, but I think it would be way scarier that way. Combined with the audio in there which prevents you from hearing anything (seriously, the audio in there is pretty awesome) I think it could be a pretty awesome maze. As it is, it's 'Meh' to me, and probably the weakest of the 4. Still, at least it's a change from Pysco 3D.

Wet 'n' Wild Sydney Construction
On the other hand, a 2nd wave people can soak up more people (pardon the pun). I think it's a shame it wasn't included, but not a deal breaker for me.

Fright Night 2013
Just had a look at the website. Pretty piss poor that less than a week out the website has repeated an unrelated image and 'Thr Darkness' maze is referred to as 'Maze 4'
