  1. I downloaded the Aquatrax CTR and thought I'd make a jetski ride. I've long wanted to make a ride with a dark ride section in the middle which sets up a high speed finish. To be honest it's not one of my best, I think the idea for this one is a bit flawed, or my execution was a bit off. Either way I spent too long working on it to throw it out, so here it is in all it's glory!
  2. ^ I actually used that. The guests in my parks are now all single people. It means more people are doing things, and less guests are "Waiting for group" which helps a lot, because normally there's 100's of people doing nothing in the park waiting for their group, making the park feel empty. Anyway, the latest ride from my newest park, Rush: Enjoy!
  3. Looks good, reckon it's your best project so far. The only comment I'd make is to not make a nice looking mountain range and then drive a coaster through it, as I personally reckon the way RCT3 carves the landscape is pretty ugly looking. Otherwise though it looks nice, look forward to seeing how it develops.
  4. My default is 2 wide, with between 3-5 wide for main paths. I do wish that you could get more peeps into the parks though, as any wider than that and it always looks sparse
  5. Cheers I have never had an issue with wide paths, the guests don't get lost or anything like that, though they mostly tend to use the same bit of the path. Personally though I think single width walkways are way too narrow, particularly by the time you add benches and things.
  6. It's amazing what I'll do when sufficiently bored I started this park by building the 'Mind Control' Coaster, and I liked it so much that I built the rest of the park to go with it. I wanted to give the park a modern feel, but with some older style rides to give the park a bit of implied history. If you're one of those people who likes a story line with the park: The park opened many years ago as an observation deck overlooking a modest canyon. As the years went by they added amusement rides to and other attractions to get more people to come. Quite quickly, the rides and other attractions became the main draw, since the canyon is fairly modest in size compared to others in the area. Recently, the park was granted permission to build a coaster inside the canyon, and built 'Mind Control' a B&M looping coaster. As part of the expansion the park also added a new modern food court with air-conditioned views of the canyon and the new coaster. Enjoy exploring the park! PS: Click the annotations on the park map to go on the rides!
  7. I think the thing about water coasters that might put people off is that no park has built a really good one. SWO's Journey to Atlantis is a really good example of that; it's clearly a great ride system, but overall it's a crappy ride. Hopefully Storm can take better advantage of the ride system, because there is so much potential for one of these rides to be epic.
  8. Village and Warner Brothers have a really good working relationship, in everything from production, to distribution to cinema ownership. And it's not just in Australia, it's an international thing, so I doubt the Warner licensing will end anytime soon.
  9. Walk in through the exit- lol I like that one.
  10. Original - hence why I said before opening . TBH, my game plan was more for if you wanted to do as many different rides as possible. If you were to go straight to H2O zone you could probably get a few rides in back to back real quick, but then WWM would be hopeless all day. Also, fast track, BOO!!
  11. If I were a betting man, I'd say it was pretty safe. The thing about Cyclone is that so much has been built around it now, that if you were to get rid of it, it wouldn't be a simple task to replace it with something else. In a ideal world I'd say it could use a second train and a bit of money spent on a refresh of the queue house. I think if you advertised like it was a new attraction (not calling it new, but just making it the focus of an ad campaign) it might be worth it. Also, aside from keeping queues down and satisfaction up, how do you reckon an increased capacity would affect on ride photo sales?
  12. GCI - Great Coasters International. CGI - Computer Generated Image. Honestly you should know what's Gazzas like by now
  13. 2 things: 1. That's a lot of money 2. They've announced this very early. This could be awesome.
  14. Yeah, if you want to go on White Water Mouhtain (the body slides) get there before opening as they attract HUGE lies all day. Then check out constrictor while youre there, then blackhole and Kamakaze. Then repeat till busy. Save Mammoth, Super 8, Calypso Beach, wave pool sidewinders and maybe even Tornado for later as their queues move quickly. As a last tip, if you go on the sidewinderss in Extreme H20 zone, queue up at the bottom of the far slide, as it always has a shorter queue. Hope that helps :
  15. I think they're just trying to get people to interact with their page, nothing more really. I think a question worth asking is: "is advertising your product by highlighting how awesome other products are a good strategy for success?" Personally I reckon it's ineffective and lazy at best.
  16. I reckon they probably could bring it back these days now that the studios have a bit of history behind them and some real movies and TV shows of interest have been filmed there. They could also use some of that space at the back of the studios that's currently used as a dumping ground for a couple show scenes (Think Catastrophe Canyon or any of the many show stops on the Universal studio tour). Couple things to keep in mind though: It won't be cheap, the studios aren't much to look at, and the area would need a pretty substantial makeover to be fit for the public, as well as the need for interesting displays to look at along the way. Also, unlike most studio parks, Movie World's customers are mostly locals, and these type of attractions, while being great staples for studio parks, aren't hugely re-ride able. Movie World's would have to be. That would require making it either the most epic studio tour ever ($$$) or changing things regularly (logistically difficult). It would also have an adverse effect on the daily running of the studio. In reality, there would need to be a way for the trams to get around without being in the way of any production not matter which combination of Sound Stages were in use. At the moment, that's probably not true. I'd love to see it back, it would make a great family attraction for the park, but it's not quite as easy as "Get some trams, get people on and drive around". There would be a lot required to make it 'work' as an attraction. Hopefully one day they'll have a serious think about it.
  17. I didn't forget, I've just been busy Anyway, topic has been split for everyone's enjoyment!
  18. I think you'd have to make the mountain out of new less flammable material, and with more clearance, so yeah, it ain't happening. BTW, I'm going to split the Dreamworld stuff tomorrow so feel free to keep talking about it here for now
  19. Check out this video!
  20. Good video, love your channel mate!
  21. A DW type *hill? Like there's an old roller coaster in there that they won't do anything about? *Hill/mountain, whatever just had to get that joke in.
  22. Did you miss my edit?
  23. Check some old aerial shots. I'm not free to have a look now but on my YouTube channel the 1990s video has a fly over at some stage, if not one of the old ads on YouTube will have it. EDIT Photo evidence: That's the extra bit in the red box. Also just for fun here's one that's even earlier than that :)/>
  24. Correct, the first part of the ride was enclosed in a shed like structure that ran along the outside of the main show building
