  1. It's a no from me, in my mind I like to see DW only have quality rides like it did when I was a kid *Ignores reality that the rides that were there when I was a kid included a gravitron, enterprise and roulette wheel; this thing would totally fit in*
  2. Honestly you'll never enjoyed anything as much as one of those sandwiches when you've eaten noting but small cheese samples and you've destroyed your pallet by drinking every type of wine that exists.
  3. For the wife? They don't as far as I know have babysitting, but they did last time I went have a stand that sells nothing but toasted cheese sandwiches for $2 each. They were doing a roaring trade. Its amazing how appealing a cheese toastie is after hours of booze.
  4. Woolworths pavilion. Free wine samples. So. Much. Wine.
  5. Schnitzel is what you order when you can't afford a parmagania.
  6. It's only worth it of the rest of the park is too crowded. You want don't want to spread things too thin or the event will lack atmosphere
  7. Yeah that looks like shiiiiiiit. Don't think a sign and a few palm trees is fixing that.
  8. Feel better now?
  9. None of the moderators have commented saying this is the wrong place to post this. We don't need anyone else to do so for us.
  10. What if I told you that the reason the mazes are less surprising/fun isn't because the mazes are worse, it's because you're getting older and you've seen it all before?
  11. Exactly. It should be a static light
  12. I disagree. Stop the bat signal from moving around. Looks tacky.
  13. Ah yes, because the batsignal is famous for moving?
  14. Doesn't seem necessary, but also seems respectful.
  15. Could be Goldie, Casey, Ronald or an early photo of the Ariadne CEO
  16. Spectacularly wrong.
  17. Well before you applaud too heavily I just had a look at their booking system and had a look at making a booking for a Wednesday morning for 2 people. It quoted $500. Based off the prices on the website ($50 per hour) that's a booking fee of $250. EDIT: I actually forgot that TG have a promotion on at the moment where it's $15 per person for 3 hours Weekday mornings, booking fee was effectively $320.
  18. The quality of the documentation matters too.
  19. It's a cynical business move. By pretending a very obvious business decision is about conservation they weaken their own message. What they're doing isn't cruel or anything dumb like that, these Tigers will get amazing care: it's just not in sync with their narrative, and it's also not in keeping with what the rest of the park is. If VRTP want to turn PC into a proper zoo, I think that'd be great. The 'Aussie Farm' being one of the themed lands of a fully fledged zoo with a coherent message and quality exhibits would work well. Bringing in Tiger cubs exclusively because DW have them is not sending out a coherent quality message.
  20. Between this, Vortex, Dome (admittedly canceled), Lego Movie 3D, I can see that VRTP's strategy seems to include large amounts of 'Sticking it to DW' rather than just 'Make our parks as good as they can be'. That mentality has left a generic thrill ride built right over dolphin pools at SW, and exotic animals at a park which is meant to be an Aussie farm. It's not about conservation, it's a really transparent business decision. So what you end up with are two of VRTP's 'Sticking it to DW' decisions being potential massive own goals in the bigger PR battle they're having surrounding the issues of animals in captivity. Also Tiger Island is incredibly well done, inviting comparisons to one of the best things DW has ever done seems like a poor move. Advice from your mother VRTP, don't worry about what the other kids are doing, you just focus on being the best you can be, otherwise you'll lose sight of what makes you special in the first place.
  21. 'Would you like a souvineer video of your stay?'
  22. Missed opportunity that they described it as 'his war with Angus', and not his Angus beef. Shocking.
  23. Shocking! Figure that joke might be funnier on its 3rd outing.
