Yes, check out that CLEARLY photoshopped theming. LMAO are you being serious?

You could just tell things were leading up to this incident, and i'm not talking about anything the media divulged. I'm talking about the general vibe of the place, rides only operating certain hours of the day so to cut wage costs, numerous rides standing but not operating, the daily complaints about the park being unsafe on social media, etc. I know the DW fanboys will likely be wishing death on me for saying this, but what happened was almost inevitable and its taken a terrible terrible tragedy that could've been avoided for them to finally lift their game. For too long were they allowed to get away with murder.

Disneyland Australia; will it EVER happen?
SunshineTom replied to SunshineTom's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Um people spend thousands of dollars going to America with Disneyland at the top of their ticket. Yes i'm sure people would be fine with increased ticket prices. They already know they're a steal at $120 a year anyway. D/W used to be iconic for sure, but not anymore. They're just another run of the mill theme park cutting costs at every corner, exploting the innocent and now suffering major brand damage. -

Disney would be smart to step in and buy D/W. They'll get it for a bargain now since no one wants the D/W brand now as its damaged goods. They can swoop on in, revamp the place, add the Disney name and it'll double patronage. -

GC Thrill Ride MEGA-RATE | Voting Closes December 10

OR you could participate in a fun event... -
Have you ever done a MEGARATE on a forum before? I haven't seen this done here yet so i do hope you can give me due credit for starting an original thread. Also, i think it will be interesting to see the results for this! HOW IT WORKS: Rate each of the following rides out of ten. You can use decimal points for accuracy. Example: 8.7, 5.3, etc. You are not allowed to gives 0. Obviously this indicates that you are trying to sway the votes in some way. Also, if you are obviously trying to sway the results in the favour of a ride, i will consult with the forum on whether the votes should be allowed or not. Please do not do this, rate each ride on its own merit and give each ride as much credit as possible. You mightn't like a ride or as much as another ride but don't give it a 1 "just because". PLEASE DO NOT POST YOUR RESULTS IN THIS THREAD, send me a PM with your results. After December 10, i will present a countdown from the lowest placed ride all the way to the highest placed ride. The thrill rides are based on their being listed as a thrill ride by the theme park. Water park rides not included. Buzzsaw Hot Wheels Sidewinder Mick Doohan's Motorcoaster Pandamonium Tail Spin The Claw The Giant Drop Tower Of Terror 2 WipeOut Arkham Asylum Superman Escape Batwing Spaceshot Scooby Doo Spooky Coaster Wild West Falls Green Lantern Coaster Doomsday Destroyer Storm Coaster Jet Rescue

Dreamworld Lego Store construction
SunshineTom replied to Theme Park Girl's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I'm sorry but have you seen LEGO themed buildings? Nothing standard about them at all. -

Incorrcect, if LEGO left, other 'big' brands would take note and stay clear imo. And i'd say LEGO would be shelling out at least 50% for the fitout. -
And by ever, i mean in OUR lifetime, so say in the next 50-60 years. I think it will. I heard they own land in Australia and have scouted for possible locations for a theme park. So they've definitely shown interest but it seems at this stage that it's a no go.

You really think D/W are going to bear the full cost of a new, custom LEGO-themed building? Why? What if LEGO just ups and leaves, citing a contract breach? They could easily do this now. -
Sea Shepherd is a great cause, you would be the first person i know who has a problem with it? If so that would be dissappointing. Yes, i'm "one of those", a defender of those who can't defend themselves from barbarians. But let's not get into one of "those discussions". If you are wondering if i am a previous member, then no i am not. Actually not even sure who you're referring to as i've lurked on here but no one springs to mind.

Parks in decline? Parks flourishing?
SunshineTom replied to SunshineTom's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I've only posted 4 or 5 new threads, i didn't realise there was a rule for the amount of new threads i was allowed to post? And it doesn't matter D/W do at this point, at least for the next few months they're going to be significantly quieter as people still process the gravity of the situation (4 people dead; families ruined forever). It's such an IMMENSE tragedy and i strongly feel that they won't recover until after that grieving period is fully over. -
I don't mind all-animal parks but i have to be in a different mind frame. Usually if i want to go to a theme park, Sea World is usually LAST on my agenda purely for the lack of rides/thrills. But if i am going with littlies, then i can change my frame of mind to better enjoy the experience. I try to avoid SW though anyway for reasons i won't list.

If you had $500 million to spend on a theme park...
SunshineTom replied to SunshineTom's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Think about how many high rises there are that are purely holiday rentals/hotel rooms. It does seem excessive but they have more than the capacity for 100 000. -
Love Wet n Wild, always good for a bit of mandy. (man candy) Oh wait, we're talking about rides? Ahem, I'll go with the rollercoasters on thrill value alone lol.

I'm well aware but there are always clauses in contracts in which either party can exit if one party has significant PR damage and is causing flow-on damage to the attached party. LEGO could potentially leave this contract and i think they would've had they not already been half way through construction. -

Interesting, another member was making predictions about the career of Noah Cyrus in another thread yet he gets praised? This is merely my opinion, i'm not claiming its true and or will come to fruition.
