It does, but as I said, School holidays, if you and your friends are theme park fans and have annual passes, you're likely to go multiple times during holidays. There are normally roughly 200 school days in a year, leaving 160odd other days they can go. I'm not denying its a lot. Just surprised is all. I mean I also believe this to be a paid "good news" story.

The New Atlantis - Construction Updates

Not incapable, just a dumbass and missed it. Thanks -
is 1000 times a lot? Surely one of you lot would have been more? Thats really only going once a week for 20 years. If I was a GC local I'm sure I would have clocked up those numbers in my teens on school holidays.

Snags at Dreamworld this Sunday - Fundraiser
Naazon replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Bunnings are half the price, and sell twice as much, but you also don't have to pay to get into bunnings. People seem to be paying anything as long as "profits go towards the fire charity". Additionally, if they sell them cheaper, people will buy more and fill up on sausages. If they sell them more expensive, people will buy less, and then buy Theme Park food to fill up the rest and raise the same money and earn some profit for themselves. -
I know I've had to say that before...

Dreamworld‘s new coaster timeline
Naazon replied to DaptoFunlandGuy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
In that situation, would they discount the coaster? -
When you virtually queue do you nominate how many are in your party? or does everyone need to queue or does 1 person queue, then you all just rock up?

Mine worked using the Order ID (from the email) and my email address, not the One Pass number.. I tried to add my partner and her sons passes using her order ID and email and it didn't work though.
-
Ignore me. I was trying my Pass ID, not my order ID. Just being super dumb.

They should allow you to add your One Pass into the app. Unless I'm doing it wrong, I couldn't add it into the Mobile Tickets and Vouchers section

Scooby-Doo Spooky Coaster lighting upgrade

I was there and did that Wednesday too. I was confused, the 6 year old was super freaked out but I thought it was super interesting. -
110cm with an Adult is completely fine. 110cm is like 3-5 years old. If there wasn't an adult it would be a little weird.

Apparently this is a thing

The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
Naazon replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Sorry no photos, but they are building what appears to be the ride control building and have a big round hole for what I assume are foundations ect for Vortex. I know nothing about this process just what I saw yesterday. -
The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
Naazon replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thanks @AlexB. The response I was after. @themagician would a window fan work better? replace a few windows with a slimline box fan, with louvers to close in bad weather? as for the power. Quick Edit: What if the AC Unit was retrofitted into the nosecone somehow? -
The New Atlantis - Construction Updates
Naazon replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Bit of an over simplification, but couldn't they just lower the track for the maintenance bay, and cut a hole in the roof above the normal track? The lowering the track, in my completely non-expert opinion seems to be the expensive part but the benefits are quite vast, for such an iconic park transport ride. Also the cost could be funneled into the Atlantis budget for some creative accounting to justify it. -
Should mention VRTP also sponsor Brisbane Roar (Soccer) and Brisbane Heat (T20). Not sure about the Bullets (Basketball) or Bandits (Baseball). Pretty sure they don't sponsor Broncos or Reds but feel free to correct me.

Dreamworld December Update 2019
Naazon replied to Gold Coast Amusement Force's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Bluey is a huge success for Australian TV and has won awards and TV deals overseas which was reported in mainstream media. Giggle and Hoot recently (within the last 2 months) announced they aren't returning to TV next year. Bananas in Pajamas is still very popular with kids. -
Just FYI for people who didn't, you can do the same at Movieworld.

Arkham has its 25th birthday on Boxing Day 2020. If MW are to close it, being proactive is always better than reactive and can give good lead time for its closure, allowing last rides. I don't think it will close for another 3-5 years though seeing as it looks to be pretty well maintained, although, anyone know when the lift hill chain needs to be replaced next?

Siam Amazing Park in Bangkok. Around 1/2 the park was closed for maintenance as they had a huge anniversary coming up.

Fully6 - WhiteWater World's new slide tower
Naazon replied to Tim Dasco's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Even more off topic, and I know its only minor but I do like the how HWSW goes around the slides. Our parks need more ride interactions. Be it, rollercoasters over paths or with other rollercoasters.
