@Theme Park Girl It would've been about 1:15 pm today. I bought the on-ride photo and the timestamp on the receipt is 1328. @Santa07 Wow, a rollback? That's so cool!!!

Sorry for the bad topic title but I wasn't sure what to call it and just wanted to share as I thought what happened was pretty cool. Again, my apologies if there is already a thread for this or if it belongs elsewhere. I rode the Tower of Terror 2 today at Dreamworld and the launch started all very normal but towards the end of the tunnel the car started to slow down considerably and we barely got vertical on the tower. We rolled back down but only got about halfway back through the tunnel. Then the car rolled back outside and we ended up coming to a stop right at the entrance of the tunnel. We sat there for a bit and maintenance came and they had to winch us back to the station. I would guesstimate that the whole experience was only about 10 minutes. I thought it was very cool. Have any of you fellow riders experienced something similar?

I mean no disrespect @Brad2912 Background - I got my elbow stuck in the small gap between the restraint and 'cage' bit (on the right, front row) while the car was hurtling backward - I think because I wasn't holding on and the force just wedged it there. Cutting a long story short, I waited until the next day and called them to just simply report it. As I said to the guy on the phone, I was more embarrassed than anything but felt I had a duty of care to at least report that that had happened. Anyway he said that they would call me back and no one ever did.

@willco Don't hold your breath waiting for them to call you back.

The video on the news (channel 10 anyway) is of the second cycle of the ride after reopening. My friend and I are sitting in front of the guy in pink!

I'm just on my way home from Dreamworld now. Buzzsaw was closed for quite awhile but my friend and I were on it as soon as it reopened. I didn't even know something was going on until we saw the channel 9 news truck while on the ride. There were at least 3 other cars with filming equipment parked at the front and a guy stopped us and asked if we were on the ride when it got stuck - or if we even had photos or videos of it while stopped. The vultures are out to swoop down on Dreamworld again.

I just saw this on the news too. Notice that they said theme parks - plural!

I hope this ride does re-open as I'd love to be able to take my nephew on it before all of 'old' Dreamworld is removed. This was posted on Facebook -

I went to DW yesterday and was impressed by the number of people there. I even had to wait in line for the rides a couple of times!!

I see Dreamworld have changed the maintenance closure dates for the Wipeout -

@Slick I can understand that. From my point of view it was easy to believe as I was there and I saw it and experienced it. From your point of view there is exactly like you said, nothing to back my words. To be honest I'm surprised that Dreamworld has made no mention of it at all. I've been checking Facebook and Twitter all day.....

@Slick I can understand why you'd be doubting that it was operating today - with riders. I'm trying to get a copy of the photo that Dreamworld took of us to commemorate the first ride since closing last year. We were asked to hold our hands in the shape of hearts. Tho I suppose you won't believe that either.

I can confirm that the Wipeout has re-opened but alas, need a minimum of 20 riders

@Jordan M. I certainly hope it pans out And FYI, they also mentioned that the new ride minimum would be 20 riders, not 10 like it was previously. Apparently.

I was just at Dreamworld today and a few of the ride attendants were saying the Wipeout will re-open either Tuesday or Wednesday. Then stay open for a few days and close for annual maintenance.
