i was thinking this too, i mean they are open until around 10-11 for fright nights which takes place on Friday - Sunday after the September school holidays, after Christmas they should atleast until 8pm.
-
RRRC is now also closed until further notice. i’m guessing the message under Doomsday’s schedule is meant for Road Runner?

from his view, you can see where the queue is in some parts of the video, im not talking about him actually being in the queue chileeee
-
not a look inside the station (sadly) however, it is cool to see the ride from this perspective and how the queue line is taking shape, it’ll be entertaining waiting in line and seeing the train fly past you for sure. it is starting to look a lot more likely the ride will be ready for a September opening. Easter 2022 Crowds at the Theme Parks
Rivals replied to themagician's topic in Theme Park Discussion
it’s probably going to get worse next week with Wild West and Rivals both going down for maintenance…, there was 3 shows and i know 2 of them were at 11 and the other one at 1:50, can’t exactly remember the third one though -

they were in a staff shortage but they’ve hired staff now lol, like i said i know staff in the parks personally and they always complain about not enough people being put on when there’s a lot more people that could be put on, most likely for cost cutting purposes is my guess -

all solutions i mentioned are pretty simple and can be done easily for a ‘world class’ business that they pride themselves of being. The staff do actually exist but they chose not to put a lot on at one time, leaving the staff that are their to take on a huge amount of pressure, ask anyone that works there (like i have with friends that work there) and then tell me that they have no staff. if they were to close the gate and offer a refund for the tickets or an extended valid ticket (one day ticket valid until end of the year if you can’t enter the park) sort of thing would work a lot better then accepting people into the park to deal with the experience they had to deal with. -

didn’t say no one will visit again but it certainly will affect their reputation and people feeling eager to visit again after their experience. - provided more shows and entertainment so they can do more then just wait wait in the lines all day - extend park hours - stopping letting people in at a certain point (when people are shoulder to shoulder down main street and supermans line is nearly reaching main street with 2 train operations, you know there is a problem.) - prior to holidays explain how there will be a reduced capacity, allowing people to plan more accordingly and possibly decided to visit the parks on a later date - put more staff on for a shift so staff aren’t overworked and in a bad mood, this is very evident to guests (they have the staff but decide not to put them on, have staff connections within the park and are definetly underpaid for what they have to do and deal with) do i have to keep going on? -

people spread the word about how bad an experience was and then people check reviews and if it’s saying the same thing, boom you have a bad reputation, meaning people will be less eager to go especially if they see the comment about “don’t come then”… it’s how everything works these days -
Food and drink not allowed into Dreamworld/Movieworld
Rivals replied to Vidgamer's topic in Theme Park Discussion
some people don’t feel like paying $20+ (given, dreamworlds food seems to be cheaper and has pass discounts) for dry, very average, theme park food… if you want to do that then go ahead some guests are on a budget, with tickets ranging from $100-$200, i doubt a lot of people want to spend more on very average food -

i think it’s safe to say the Public definitely are not happy with how the park handled itself, many staff were even overworked and had to stay back as late as 7:00 (ben and jerry’s staff especially due to everyone running there at park close then having to stay back and clean.) they need to figure out some sort of solution fast, cause if the public starts catching on they care more about the money then guest experience (which is pretty much a given at this point,) that won’t go down well the park could’ve done so much to improve the guest experience during the holiday period but they chose not too and now people are rightfully angry they wasted $100+ each for a bad experience which they weren’t warned of prior. The last they could do is issue an apology and explain the situation -

it’s more food like maccas or other fast food chains you are eating when walking into the park, that’s really the only time they’ll actually stop you. I always use to take in food in my back and never got stopped even when they looked inside my bag, i think it’s one of those ‘rules’ no one really acts upon excluding the fast food chain food -
when looking at ‘dwgoldenyears’ recent update, i noticed part of the fence going underneath Giant Drops current Queue-line heading down towards the Native Wildlife area, could the rides entrance and exit be relocated here, making an end to the infamous spaghetti junction?

i’ve heard of (and experienced) the social media teams leaving you on opened or just telling you to ring the park if you have any inquiries, so i doubt unless someone makes a complaint about the reply anything will be done about it -

a single rail would be a good replacement but if it was, i’m hoping they’d add a moving station -

i’m just hoping whatever Arkham’s replacement is, it’s a capacity machine that has the line always moving, however if it’s what’s rumoured (vekoma SFC and duelling boomerangs), my hopes are definitely not going to be met -

this is true, but they could’ve atleast made sure they sped up operations so the lines for rides such as Rivals weren’t as painful. I would love if they do what they do with Taipan (even if it’s just during peak periods), and have 4 staff members checking, the front two checking rows 1-5 then the back two checking rows 6-backwards. -

i think the difference here is one cares about the guest experience more, whereas the other one cares about money more. -

i think definitely during the School Holidays and public holidays they need to be open until at least 7pm. With superman’s locker situation, i think a solution similar to MDMC’s loose article rotating bins would work really well, or even something like the claw, have 2 sections for each train, put your loose articles on one side and collect on the other, the only problem i see with these is they would need to rework the station so these would fit. -
Dreamworld, Sea World, & Movie World Trip Report - Jan 2022

some of my family went yesterday with younger kids, only got on 2 kids rides (JDS and RRRC) and the stunt driver show within their 5 hours of visiting the park, they were waiting for superman but that broke down. considering they didn’t have a pass and payed around $99-$109 each, 100% a rip off -

sorry i worded it kinda confusingly. i meant if Superman was on two trains, then for Rivals i’d say they are waiting for parts for the second train, cause normally when both rides have both trains available, they are ran at the same time. but who knows, i wouldn’t be surprised if it’s simply just cost cutting or not wanting to run it, cause they do have the staff for it. -

if Superman was on two trains, i’d say they are either waiting for parts for the second train or just don’t want to run it. For rivals too be that far back with that wait time is horrible. You’d expect 4hrs for the line to look like Fright Nights 2017 (wrapped around towards the entrance to green lantern) -
there is a patch of pink in Tornado’s funnel, could this be test paint for a possible repaint during its maintenance period? or has this paint been there for a while.
-
i was coming on to comment on this. Rivals really needs a second train and faster dispatches right now, a 4hr wait, with 1 train mixed with 5minute dispatches makes the line painful and according to friends of mine who are visiting, it’s actually longer then 4hrs right now. does anyone know if superman at least has 2 trains on atm?
