on the app it says “The Carousel will be closed until July for its major annual refurbishment and service.” Also appears batwing is down until further notice, guessing they’re just having issues with it this morning.

i remember the original reason for it not being open was so they could track the numbers within the parks easier with the covid restrictions, however with this week being the end of the restrictions (at least the ones that affect the parks.) they definitely need to open this again. also how was taipans operations? are they still fast or are they a bit slower now

i’m pretty happy with them simply restoring the old effects, i mean i don’t want them to put in screens and rename it ‘Superman Escape Next Generation’

several events over the past years have been extended just because of how popular they are and apparently this event has been running well, so most likely just that is my guess -
they’re correct for me today, i notice on the app all the photos on the maintenance page are mixed up a lot of the time.

it appears Kaboom has reopened, however it looks like Double Barrel is now having issues. it is kinda sad to see 5 rides down for maintenance, only one of them having a reopening date, 2 of them (Surfrider, Flowrider) practically being SBNO and another 1 (Sky Coaster) very rarely operating.

The park has announced the event will be extended for a week (24th April.) This event must be going better then people are saying for them to extend it tbh -
even in park the complaints are bad, overhearing park guests talk about how bad the park looks, the lines are moving and even overhead a family requesting for a refund due to “the day being a waste of money.” even i go with my GP friends, and they bring up how movie world use to be so much better.

i’d say get some TLC, new animals, reopen the nocturnal house, and add a new ride within the old RHLR plot of land. Which i think should be some sort of water ride. However, with dreamworld past, this could be difficult. imo, they should go with a type of ride that is familiar to the GP, my first thought is a Mack Water coaster. The GP would trust it as they have most likely heard / been on storm, they’d just have to make sure it’s a superior / different ride experience.

it looks so much better the worn down covering covering around MDMC’s first turn has been removed. I wonder why the trees were removed though? perhaps a repaint or something along those lines?

Both Superman and Batwing are closed until further notice. 4 rides closed during a school holiday period isn’t the best look.

they were dead during them however, once the games were finished and prior to the games it became packed. the same will most likely happen with the olympics but on a much larger scale. the olympics is a much bigger deal, so during the event the parks will be deader then the commonwealth games, but before and definitely after it will be international families vacation and the parks will be packed.

I have a gut feeling the most likely buyers would be Merlin, Six Flags or maybe even Sea World Entertainment. We know six flags loves buying properties and with the new direction their CEO is planning to go, this could possibly be a good thing, however if they were to buy dreamworld, we better hope they don’t go back to their old ways of super loops and cheap carnival rides. With Sea World, they are now starting to open parks overseas and they have been trying to buy a lot of properties recently and could see them buying it tbh. just speculation, no facts or anything but those are the most likely companies that would purchase imo. however, i do not think ardent will be selling dreamworld anytime soon, especially with the olympics coming up and then knowing that’s a huge potential to bring in crowds.

if they know it’s getting looked at until the 11th, i don’t understand why they don’t just say it’s going to be closed until at least the 12th or something. is there a problem with the ride or were they just not able to get the routine maintenance done within the allocated time frame.

stop putting words in my mouth… i said “honestly completely forgot about Leviathan and that whole mess as well as Wnw new slide complex’s issues so my bad movie world isn’t the only one in that company being run bad.” meaning, i forgot about the whole leviathan mess and the issues going on with wnw’s new slides. Then replying to the many factors they said about how Sea World and Wnw are being run bad, i said “so my bad movie world isn’t the only one in that company being run bad.” so like i said, next time i’ll make sure to rewrite everything the prior person said just so you can understand.

I said i forgot about the new Wnw slide complex having issues, never said that was the soul reason for the park being run bad, the reasons the park is being run bad is due to all the factors (and more) listed in the post i’ve replied too. next time i’ll make sure to restate everything the prior comment said just so you can understand

I think ripping out everything besides RRRC, JDS and the carousel and starting again is their best option. Refresh the entire area, add around 4-5 new attractions, move the parents room into the JDS building so there can be air conditioning in the building, and use the rest of the space for new rides.

out of the 4 rides open in that area, Speedy Gonzales’ Tijuana taxis is useless with JDS next door, replacing Speedy Gonzales with 2 new smaller kids rides while also adding a mini drop tower (similar to bombora bounce -aussie word) where the old pounce n bounce was (or maybe in roadrunners footprint using the ‘observation area’ as a queue line) would make the area so much more lively and better overall.
