did it seem like the same cycle as before it’s maintenance period?

also with Vortex’s maintenance, the gondola has been lifted from parked positioned to about a 45 degree angle for the past couple of days, does anyone else think it could be a possibility they are installing fountains to interact with the riders or could they reprogramming the ride to do a new cycle?

Couple changes to do with Sea Worlds current rides under maintenance: - after months of closure due to Leviathans Construction, Patrick’s Jellyfish Frenzy now has a reopening date for the 17th of December - Vortex has been pushed back again from the 17th to the 20th of December. - Dora’s Carousel went down for its second lot of maintenance (8 days after reopening) and is now rescheduled to reopen on the 18th of December. Next years maintenance schedule has still not been uploaded unlike the other Village Parks, let’s just hope storm is closed in the winter months instead of the summer months smh.

how many seats are out of action not including the backwards seats if anyone knows? if there is a lot is there even a point of the second train operating until the new parts arrive?

i think (quote me if i’m wrong) a while back Dreamworld said to stay tuned for future announcements involving new exciting attractions, however this was after steel taipan had started construction from my memory. (again, could very well be wrong) if this is the case i would love the next ride to be a more airtime focused ride, however i think the next attraction being a water based ride is more likely. this could be built in the old Log Ride area, maybe a mack power splash? the GP would see it being similar to Storm (track wise, roller coaster with splash) so the positive perception storm has may be able to give the GP confidence that this ride will be safe. If this was to happen i see it probably occurring before the hotel opens or open it together? Besides that i think we will be seeing ABC kids world revamped as well as Dreamworks (even if it’s mostly cosmetic stuff)

however at the end of the email they said “Please be patient with our team as this venomous experience is sure to be a popular one, and may not be available for the entire duration of each day. ” by reading that you can tell it may not be open all day and may not be open at all during some of the days. if you wanted to make sure you could get a ride on it and you live further away, it is a smarter idea to come on a day where you know it will be open, meaning you won’t be left disappointed.

from my knowledge, yesterday it was open from around 11:25 - closing with the exception of a little breakdown around 1:30, but that didn’t last too long. i think Saturday was 10:30 - closing with Sunday being around 2:00 - closing. except for today it has pretty much been running nearly the same amount Rivals ran during its soft opening periods, possibly a little bit less

they said that on Sunday, however the ride did end up opening at around 2pm. So there’s always a possibility it may open.

after 4 rides today (2x front, middle, back) definitely prefer it over Rivals. The launches packed a lot more of a punch then i expected, even the first launch i thought packed a pretty good punch but launch's 2 & 3 were bonkers. The rest of the ride has really good hang time as well as a lot of intense portions, such as a the turn after the loop and especially the barrel roll. overall, my favourite ride in the park and as of right my favourite overall.

the spinning train is currently testing so it appears whatever the issue was has been fixed

kaboom is the only one out of the 3 that requires 2 riders

the gondola is back and it appears those horrid seat belts are now gone, shouldn’t be too much longer

it seems like they are still going forward, perhaps just closed today?

apparently the ride will be opening sometime today as all ride attendants were recently told this, they’re for some reason just telling people it will not be open.

i have a feeling they may not be getting rid of the Queue house yet due to them being able to possibly use it as a overfill for Steel Taipans Line? the queue for ST itself doesent look very large and if they are expecting large crowds they could just loop it around?

im pretty sure they’re being sarcastic or after the event they had a great time?

does anyone know why they would be testing both new and old boats instead of just the new ones?

that’s such a shame considering the tickets are practically $60 for 3 hours, massive lines so there is a high chance guests will only be able to go on 1 ride, if that, and most activities being an extra cost you’d think the parade and street decor (lights) would be at very high standards personally seeing the lights surrounding the buildings in main streets just made the whole event look so visually appealing and i with them practically being removed it just feels like a lack of atmosphere?

in photos it also looks like there is no where near as many lights on the buildings in main street compared to other years? is this accurate or just angles photos have been taken maybe?

the announced date is only for the hard / official opening, soft opening is going to be taking place with Steel Taipan most likely starting early next week (in contact with a couple employees that have stated this)

the spin just depends on weight, it’s better to go on with someone the opposite weight / size as you as the spin will be more intense

The difference is Rivals seats are just turned around, whereas the spinning seats require more maintaining and are more technologically advanced…. imo spinning seats for $25 is a lot better worth then even $15 for backwards

in Dreamworlds new instagram post (time lapse construction) it says “REALLY ssssoon” this conspiracy may be a stretch but could the amount of S’s indicate how many days till an announcement of the opening date? if so 4 more days which would lead to the 5th, meaning around the 12th could be the most likely opening date… just a conspiracy though most likely wrong
