yeah i’m pretty sure it’s just a timing issue, cause most of the time once the audio finishes saying “don’t worry i’ll push you out of here” it launches instantly. update on Rivals smoothness, rode it in the back at the end of our day and that was definitely the roughest ride i’ve ever had on it, got off with my hips feeling a bit sore from all the shaking🥲
-
just got off of superman and it doesn't appear that the parts for the second train are still under the track, also the maintenance bay for DC is open when returning back to the station so perhaps they could be assembling it?
-
been on today and it wasn’t too bad, only been up the front but it was a bit shakey
-
anyone have any guesses on when they will announce the opening date? if they’re wanting to open up on one of the earlier dates out of our guesses im assuming by the end of this or next week we’ll have an announcement?
-
i wish it was throughout the whole 40 year celebration tbh but atleast it is happening for a little bit of time rather then not happening.
-
well my guesses are: staff previews: 4th-5th December Soft opening: 8th-12th December Opening: 13th December and then pass holder ERT similar to DC rivals and will take place the first week of opening (14th-21st December)

could The Claw’s closure be a result of works that are needed to be done on the portion of Shockwave that’s behind The Claw?
-
link?

at this point let’s not get our hopes up the new rides will be up and operating by them, at least not both of them anyways
-
i’m assuming both will be operating during the summer holidays then once the summer holidays are over the east side of the tour will go down for replacement
-
they also have a flash themed flat ride opposite from the Wonder Woman one, so unless they retheme one of those rides i can’t see it being The Flash or Wonder Woman.
-
spooky nights is still a solid family event however i just feel like happy halloween was executed better. There was just a lot more to do then at spooky nights and the overall atmosphere imo felt better.
-
we all have different views on topics and in my opinion; besides the amount of tickets sold, the event was well planned out and had a lot of stuff to do other then the rides and normal day to day operation attractions
-
still no word on a reopening date yet, perhaps there could be a problem with either the trains or the new system?
-
even though it was very busy and lines were long, i’m glad it was as busy as it was. it shows Dreamworld is gaining its reputation back finally which is a good sign with Steel Taipan opening soon. The event was well planned and imo, one of the best night time events we have seen in a while, certainly a lot better then spooky nights however, i would love to see one or two “scary” mazes, this would let the event suit to an even larger audience and would top off the event.

i’ve heard that in the Kevil Hill building they’re only using some of the rooms as they want to keep the zombies and have those rooms blocked off, hopefully this means they are planning to bring back the Kevil Hill maze.
-
I drove past Movie World before and it appeared the lights on Rivals track were changing between multiple colours (blue, green, fuschia and red.) does anyone know if the lights changing are new or have they always been a thing i just haven’t noticed?
-
i’ve heard it’s going to be located in the old Kevil Hill Walkthrough instead of the exhibition space.
-
Doomsday has been put back under maintenance (not that surprising) however, Road Runner has now had its reopening date removed.
-
Arkham asylum replacement theming??
Rivals replied to Cooper Liston's topic in Theme Park Discussion
(if this is true) i could see it being an S&S axis coaster possibly themed to Poison ivy? they could keep the whole theme of the area which saves cost and could create a storyline about how she broke out of her cell and took over the asylum? just an idea😌 -
i saw it more as why would they keep spending money on a ride that’s not popular, a maintenance nightmare and is now not supported by the manufacturer, causing more of a costly fix when it needs new parts. even though it’s not great to see another ride getting removed, no one is going to miss it and it didn’t really do anything for the park, so i don’t see it as that much of a loss tbh.
-
would an S&S free spin be able to fit in this space? it would provide great kinetic energy to the front of the park along with ST as well as providing another unique experience for Australia to the park.
