  1. Few pics from this evening Mack Crates! A temporary (?) light has been installed at the Giant Drop Entrance... ... covering the poor dedication plaque.
  2. Here's a few pics from today. No noticeable work seems to have been done since yesterday.
  3. Here's a few pics from Roadrunner. Noticed a big box from Vekoma with some interesting info... some work was being done on the lift hill, too. It often gets queue times wrong. Once it had WWF at 40 mins all day when it was actually walk on... anyhow, both Doomsday and Superman were completely closed today. Doomsday in particular had at least 5 maintenance workers on it... seems like they're really trying to get it open quickly.
  4. The building by the Log Flume (Cafe/Photo Booth) got completely demolished this evening by a digger. Was quite sad... Will upload a video later tonight.
  5. An underwater themed Mad House at SW could be amazing if done properly. I could see them tying it in to New Atlantis... A trip to the "Old" Atlantis perhaps?
  6. The chap who played Austin Powers was always fantastic! I miss seeing him around the park.
  7. Difference here is that the hotel guests will (presumably) know what they're getting into. I don't think the Disney parks with in built hotels get many complaints! 😜
  8. A hotel, eh? Interesting. I know I'm looking forward to looking out the room window and seeing Rivals at night!
  9. Hrmm, not sure what happened there. Unfortunately I don't have the option to edit the post any longer. It was just a potato quality photo of Doomsday testing.
  10. I know you didn't come here to be bombarded with questions @Bikash Randhawa, but I'm very interested to know if anything's happening with Surfrider at Wet 'n Wild? It's a shame seeing a coaster be SBNO like that, especially when it's relatively rare model. If its future at WNW is in question I know a lot of us here would love to see it back at Sea World where it was originally intended. Anyway, I'm very interested in seeing what VRTP has planned for us this year and beyond. Based on your comments I'm optimistic!
  11. I think Dreamworld ultimately does better theming than VRTP - those toilets prove it! I'm interested in seeing the final result for Steel Taipan... Dreamworld Toilet thread? Let's go! 😜 Whenever it's open, the toilets in the Convention building are great! The pair up the steps to the right were always completely deserted (and clean!) during the Lego show, even when it was busy during the school holidays.
  12. Went on Superman today and it definitely looked like the Rivals train was in the matinence room, all disassembled and spread about. Even during a launch the Mack style is easy to spot! 😜 Doomsday was testing frequently. Noticed no activity on Spaceshot.
  13. The longest I queued was for Crush's Coaster at Disneyland Paris. I think it was around an hour? Guess I've been pretty lucky in my park trips so far, wait time wise.
  14. I wonder what they'll do for the Big Dipper logo...
  15. Looney Tunes was something special. The pre show was pretty much an attraction in itself! Reminds me of a "lite" version of the Rise of the Resistance preshow at Disney in retrospect. The Batman preshow being very atmospheric. I always think of it when queuing for Justice League due to the similar layout (is the JL boarding section where the Batman animatronic was?) I unfortunately never got to ride Gremlins. Watching videos it looked like a great experience. I always get a kick out of the Superman Escape preshow video with the fancily dressed people getting into the Train! Anyone remember the Wild Wild West preshow? "You're looking at a place that could be any place. East or west of the mighty Mississippi" has been permanently ingrained into my head after riding it so many times. I've been looking for the whole video for ages but to no avail.
  16. Was the Ride originally being designed for a Chinese Park ever confirmed or is it just speculation?
  17. Noticed some new(?) in park promotion yesterday! steel taipan board.mp4
  18. Pretty much. Steel Coasters usually go up pretty quick when they go vertical. I doubt it. Still a lot to get done besides getting the layout finished - landscaping, theming, safety checks, testing, employee training, etc. As it has a different audience they probably aren't worried about competing with Leviathan.
  19. Glad it worked out and you had a great day!
  20. If I couldn't go on any rides due to massive queues I doubt I'd go shopping for merch instead. For most guests the shopping happens at the end of the day before leaving the park. I'm going to assume a lot of guests wouldn't have enjoyed their day enough to warrant buying a souvenir, let alone plan to return at all.
  21. I can understand on quieter days, but not running two trains on the coasters is pretty inexcusable during the holidays and weekends. At one of the recent night events they had Superman running with two trains. The queuing experience was soooo much better, and the operations were significantly faster than normal (definitely not 5 mins). It was a rare taste of what could be if VRTP got their act together. I'm not looking forward to the (presumably) one train ops they'll have on Leviathan!
  22. I think it looks great, though my expectations were pretty low as I'm not a fan of the film. Weird seeing a modern Universal ride with more animatronics then screens! The queue reminds me of a scare maze in its design. Might be one of the best queues out there in terms of theming, at least in recent years. Wouldn't be fun if you're claustrophobic though!
