@T-bone just remember prior to October 2016 Dreamworld did hardly any maintenance and I doubt they have learnt to check the track prior to painting it. Remember Wipeout they wasted $$$ on a refurbishment and it only lasted another year. Tower of terror never got a upgrade Rocky hollow log ride was refurbished but then closed a year later as well

Well someone is definitely right about steel fatigue sadly, yepppp Dreamworld should've checked this before doing a complete repaint but didn't. This explains why the maintenance period is extended to December and we might not even see this ride operate again.

Why on earth is it called the Gold Coaster when it isn't yellow? Could've renamed it somthing to do with ocean parade?

@Coasterlife was getting very old and maintenance heavy. I also think it wouldve been removed after TRRR as it wasn't up to today's safety standards

Good to see that the locals are returning and actually trusting Dreamworld. Kinda surprising because Dreamworld has been on the news a lot lately regarding TRRR tragedy.

White Water World is definitely going to be busy this year and especially when summer comes round because all the attractions are open. Wet N wild is not worth going to with only 3 attractions open absolutely shocking and no reopening dates either.

Have heard that construction will commence this week.

Definitely needs a clean up, its also a shame that the backdrop that it once had of fish and octopuses has now been covered up by white steel sheets. Very ugly and jarring

Went on this ride yesterday and couldn't even get it to spin. I totally agree Pit and Sherry have screwed up a lot of things, was looking at the Shockwave yesterday and where they put seatbelts in seems to be cracking the surroundings where the handle bars are located. Rough as guts no care given.

I know this is a stupid question but if the TRRR tragedy never happened do you think TRRR, tower of terror, wipeout and log ride still be operating today?

Just been on it myself and really happy they have taken the time to fix these issues. Awesome!

@Jdude95 have they finally improved the lighting on the sets/props not dark anymore that you could hardly see them???

Seaworlds website has just been updated saying Leviathan and Trident are due to open June 2021.

@Coasterlife apparently they have 1 more week of hotel left.

I wonder if they have actually put in the effort to fix all the broken water effects on the ride and also the sign that loses 1 person. 🤔

Just noticed that it seems only the big supports are going white and the rest remain blue according to the map.

Will this still give older people a bit of a thrill? Or will it be very tame?

I do miss the jet streams at wet n wild, such a shame hope something really similar replaces them
