  1. I have no idea mate. I presume you're talking about the number of times someone went on the ride? Kevin at Wonderland, it wasn't unusual for him to do 50 or 60 in a row at Probe.
  2. It looked pretty terrible though mate. You know that and it would always freeze and need to be reset. It's not a matter of the system working bad or not working, it just could have looked better. This is something that people could actually see. It's not really a major issue anyway, it's just something that could have been updated and made to look more realistic as the technology became available. As usual, Wonderland just didn't want to move with the times.
  3. The concept of Probe's theming was good. It could have done with a software update for the pre-show. Still running off a Windows 95 Visual Basic designed program. I didn't mind their thinking behind it though. If like originally planned, the roof would open and close it would have made it better too I think. Unfortunately it couldn't be made fail-safe.
  4. Bush Beast in its day, was capable of running at 90 km/h. By the end they reckon it was struggling for 75/80 km/h.
  5. I'm 6 foot and don't have any problems either. We could just have shoulders to fill the restraints Joz.
  6. Zoe definitely wasn't one. She wouldn't know if a bus was up her until someone opened the door. Probably a good PA that's about it. Definitely not the right person for an Operations Manager. I won't give anymore of my opinion as I am too damn decent. I agree with Joz, but a simple TAFE course won't kill you if you wanted. Go get a job up the coast.
  7. He drove the train at Dreamworld at one stage. Like I say, everyone starts at the bottom. Just get your foot in the door of a theme park, gain a supervisors job and it all goes from there.
  8. Spill your guts Obstructure. It is such a secret you can't tell anyone?
  9. I needed inspiration most of the time to get on Probe. Usually a good sort scared out of her wits did the trick. Then I was Terry Tough Bastard and a seasoned pro Shove it up your clacker. I doubt I'll ever get on the bastard that is Giant Drop. As for restraints hurting you, all I can say is, BACK TO THE GYM! Mix in some shoulders old son. Wipeout is brilliant.
  10. Theme Park career in Australia? Not likely... For a few minutes maybe. Although look at our train driver boofhead mate Galbraith. He's doing alright for himself these days isn't he? He started at the bottom old son. Still there in my book too. CEO of a crap Asian company after all. Who really gives a crap about them? If you want to end up like him, get a job in a theme park and suck, I mean, work your way to the top. A manager at Wonderland was simply a ride operator and his boss was just a PA. Ended up with a managers job some how... They all started at the bottom mate. I think TAFE NSW offer a number of Theme Park related hospitality courses.
  11. Just get up there and find out for yourself old son. The surprise element is always a good one.
  12. I'm as scared as hell of Giant Drop and never been on it but ToT is out of this world. Love it. Best ride at Dreamworld by far. Probably only has Scooby at Movie World in front of it in our country. That's my opinion anyway. I know there'll be many conflicting opinions.
  13. Xtreme, you're an idiot. Mix in a clue. I know you can't help it you're gay.
  14. You wouldn't think you're much too old for anything the way you construct your posts.
  15. Sunway had no other plan other than to do exactly what has just happened since the day they took it over. They were never interested in the theme park. I said it all along, only to be critisised. Their reasons for closure were just laughable. I hear soil erosion and global warming were next on the list.
  16. Zord, That's just what I heard during my time there. I honestly can't elaborate any further. I presume it would be all up, because if they paid anymore they were kidding themselves. All they did was have trouble with it at Wonderland. With a bit of luck it's going to end up in the bloody bin.
  17. The c word I'm thinking of calling him can't be broken into 3 syllables.
  18. Just spill your guts and get it over with. Can't you see you're killing these poor dolts?
  19. The beach definitely wasn't the late 90's. I'm going to go with early 90's. Something about 1989 rings a bell though.... As for Skyrider, it was a second hand piece of crap. They actually paid $2.5 million for it too. Idiots.
  20. I'll give her a moment.
  21. Good stuff mate. Great photos too. Made me go all misty.
  22. I hear you have no problems whatsoever entertaining yourself Andy.
  23. They called Wonderland the best park in the Southern Hemisphere. I think that sums it up. Got to spend a couple of hours with Shelley however.... Good sort indeed!
