Many a good memory of that place. Made some of my closest friends at that joint. The good times definitely outweighed the bad. You couldn't have asked for a better bunch of people to work with. For that, I thank them. Unfortunately, I couldn't get a ticket to go there today and I wasn't paying to get in. Bugger that.

Beer...... Featherdale is no worse than Wonderland was. How about Ashlar? Well respected course. Or the drive in? How many of those in NSW these days? Blacktown Olympic Park? The premier baseball and softball fields in the country. Look I really don't give two bloody craps, I'm just saying. You won't keep the theme park regardless of the level of your efforts. I'm as sad as the next bloke about Wonderland closing but it's worth too much to the state as industrial land.

Like it or not Blacktown Council are going to do significantly well financially. They'll do much better out of it than they did with Wonderland. You won't hear a peep from the state government on the issue I'll give you the tip. They'll welcome it with open arms. It'll be the usual independants chirping up. If there was going to be a public outcry, it would have happened after the announcement. You say BCC's only tourist attraction, that's wrong. Check your facts. Or at least the council website.

Did Zodiac for a while, New Years 2002. Transylvania side is up spinning away like a gimp, when I hear the sound of water or something hitting the ground. I turn around to see something pouring from one of the Gondolas. When we bring it down, it's still running out mind you, all the people had their feet up on the seats. The smell was almost unbareable, good thing for the strong stomach. These people, off their dials, had spewed their guts up, filled the bottom of the gondola, it was at least 2 cm deep and it was running out from under the door. All of them. The big bag of fairy floss each of them were eating wouldn't have contributed that much either These 4 people had been throwing their guts up. They all got out and one guy threw up again just for good measure, just incase the smell wasn't bad enough. :eek: The moral of the story: Don't take illegal substances and drink ridiculous amounts of alcohol (if there's such a thing) and ferris wheel.
