I didn't mention spelling you dolt. For the record, he didn't make one either. What are the stars covering up? Should it say your sh*t comment, cause that's what it is!
-
ASHLEE, Please read this. It's about time you tried a little harder or to be quite honest you have no place here.
-
ASHLEE, Please elaborate on your posts some more. 5 or 6 words just does not cut it. To be quite honest I've had enough of reading the crap you've written so far. Mate - give some thought to your questions and statements. You might then get the answer you're looking for. Don't be put off by this 'feeling of attack' - just fit in and be more careful. If other members feel I am being too harsh, please say so here. On the other hand, perhaps some of you could offer ASHLEE some advice also, without crucifying the poor bloke.

It just looks like a normal woody to me, but as far as I'm concerned they have to be in the correct place. i.e. 1800's or 'old days' theme. Wonderland is also a modern park, but has the 'old' themed section (Goldrush), just like the Movie World above by the looks of it. A woody is fine in this case. I just don't think they're good for a normal modern theme park such as Dreamworld. It just wouldn't go. It would be totally out of place in my book surrounded by modern looking structures. Bring on the steel coasters. They look much better. Wooden coasters can look tacky.
-
As for the first woody, sure like I said, it fits the 'old days style' theme pretty well. However I don't think that it would be suitable in a more modern looking park like Dreamworld or Movie World that's all.

Yes, I'd go back for some casual stuff here and there if the need arose and I was up for it on my some of my days off from work. After some issues on here I think it would be very unlikely to say the least The point is I'd be able to get past any indifferences and I want just as much as anyone, for the park to be open on April 26. I'm not really blowing anything out of proportion, you will see in your latest PM. I suggest it's probably best to lock this thread now and we'll leave it at this.

You've proven that old mate hehe Keep up the good input. Love your work. I'm just taking the piss again mate. Cheers, Daniel -
You are right about the waffle Rich. We know staff are friendly already. That's never been an issue at all. I'm just going to leave it there and not comment on it anymore. It's a pointless arguement and no one is going to budge. I don't plan on going into specific issues concerning incidents with staff at Wonderland, so it is best for me to leave the argument right here. I would have no objections to discussing this issue with you in private, but here it does not concern others and is quite frankly none of their business and not my place to discuss.

Firstly mate, this thread is probably more suited to General Thrills, but however, we shall soldier on for now. I'm not so sure Sydney will get another theme park. I would like to think so, but I can't see it. Where would you suggest they put it? Land is too valuable as industrial, commercial and residential land I think you'll find. The best you're going to get in Luna Park. My personal opinion is, no, we won't get another park.
-
I'm sure they are, but as far as I'm concerned in the world of steel, get them, they look much better anyway. A thing of the past didn't exactly come out as intended. I just think wood can look really old and sometimes tacky. A wooden coaster would not suit a place like Dreamworld or Movie World. However I think it worked well at Wonderland with the 'Goldrush' theme.
-
I knew you'd pick it up Rich. Good work. It has now been changed for the credibility of your forum. How would you know I'm 'disgruntled'? I could have said it HOW IT IS while I was still working there couldn't I? All these people have come out and said how bad it is, however you still persist with your rubbish of being disgruntled ex-employees. How in the world do you know who is still there and who isn't. You don't and probably ever won't. For all you know I could still be there too. Discounting my dark opinions? What about the other bunch of people? Oh yeah, they don't count do they old mate? You knock your socks off with your crap mate because I love the ****. Happy Days!

haha I love your sarcasm Rich, it's super Who needs a woody? (If you pardon the expression of course ) muhahaha. Keep it going.

You're just as bad as he is. You're tarred with the same brush anyway. Willsy, is that meant to be GENEROUS or what? Sure, but people are not going to go to the opening night to specifically see these people I wouldn't think. -
Students at Wonderland stood around at games, stood around at the shows or sat around in the office. Most likely not the fun stuff they had planned on before they registered. There is no way in hell you'd press any buttons. The operator at Sea World would no doubt not still be there if someone found out what he let you do without the appropriate training. Imagine if someone was injured or worse during that cycle or ride, and it came out that he had let you press buttons or leavers or whatever. Lawsuit city! I'm not saying it's your fault for agreeing to press buttons, most people would, but the operator would be reefed up the arse and I'd throw the bastard in gaol if I was a judge in that Coronial Inquiry.

I know I'm going to upset a few people here, but as far as I'm concerned, wooden coasters are a thing of the past and have no place in today's theme parks. Bring it on lads! I'm ready!
-
OK Rich! There is absolutely no point arguing with you, and your 'biased' comment was stupid. Haven't you seen a trend of unhappy people or are you completely blind? With all due respect of course. We just go around in circles on this exact topic everytime so lets just give up right now. You seem to know more than those who have first hand experience and have seen the way the place was run. They did a great job of fooling people such as yourself. A bit of crappy poofter paint here and there does not make a well run theme park. Let me tell you the beach work was a must, otherwise the beach would not have opened this season.

Elaborate some more old mate. It's developing beautifully. We'll get an informative post out of you by the time you've got 56 racked up. Come on mate. Don't be shy. Give us some thoughts about your water ride. What sort of water ride? I think that is what Tricky Dicky was getting at... Welcome to the forum. Good to have you on board Ash. Take no notice of the sh*t stirrers around here either. They're trouble.
-
Rich, I have to agree mate. You have no idea what went on inside that joint. Sure they had financial restraints, no one is denying that, but you have no idea whatsoever about the way the place was run.

Rich, I can't take this anymore, I'm terribly sorry. Shifty, WTF is this? You've got to be kidding. You are deadset cracking jokes. Mate, not very often I'm lost for words, however in your case... As for going, I personally don't think I'd pay 85 bucks to go to that opening. There is not a huge array of talent in that last as far as I'm concerned. Except for really Marina Prior, David Campbell, Todd McKenny and maybe the Tap Dogs. The others, I've never heard of. I probably wouldn't pay to see any of them normally. I reckon $85 could be a little steep. I know it's probably a historical night and all but geez... Who here would pay 85 bucks for what they're offering? -
Total Thrills Wonderland Farewell Meet T-Shirts
Daniel replied to Richard's topic in Site & Announcements
hehe. I might have thought about it if you had done Rich I don't iron very often either -
Work Experience programs are generally run in both Years 9 and 10. Work Placement programs also exist in senior years, but usually in conjunction with TAFE courses or similar. I'm sure you'll most likely enjoy it. I presume they'll have a better program in place than Wonderland did, if you could even say they had such.

You could have at least ironed it for the shoot Rich... -
If Work Experience at Luna Park is going to be anything like Work Experience at Wonderland, I wouldn't bother Jaggie. You'll be bored out of your bloody brain.
-
Yeah it was too long I think. Part of it was in my local paper, most of the good stuff taken out.

I wouldn't think so Willsy....
