  1. Nah, never been on Olympia Looping cause I haven’t gone to Europe yet, although I really want to. Like I said I know it has nothing to do with what happened, I was just reminiscing about how I found the restraints on the Rebel strange.
  2. It cracks me up that this ride is the subject of incident at the Melbourne Show, cause when I went on it this year at the Easter Show, I had never seen over-the-shoulder restraints as low quality as the ones on the Rebel. They barely go down to your chest lol. I know that has nothing to do with what happened, but I still find it funny.
  3. The fact that there isn’t any Theme parks (THEME being the emphasised word) with a cohesive theme and experience in the whole country, unless you count dreamworld, which is more on the Amusement side (although it’s a quality park), means that MW can do whatever the hell they want it terms of guest experience. The GP in most cases don’t know anything that’s any better, so the company still carries on with the $100 price tag, not caring about the quality they’re providing, cause people STILL go.
  4. When I was at MW in Nov 2020 I got a discount, I think I was around 10 bucks, cause Superman and rivals were the only thrill rides open.
  5. Depends how nostalgic the GP are for the ride, but I don't think anyone would think of Doomsdays as that family memory maker.
  6. Definitely not. It would be stupid to have a ride that’s all round the country as the only “thrill” ride we get from MW this decade. But tbh I don’t think it would even be up for consideration anytime soon.
  7. Yeah, whenever I’ve been to LPS it’s ALWAYS been down for at least the first half of the day, and by the time it opens the line is so long that I just skip it cause the it’s dispatch times are horrible, worst than most of the other rides at the park.
  8. Well then maybe it says something about the Australian themeparks ig. And by all means I’m not saying it’s a bad ride, it’s good quality among its kind and even flats in general, but for most parks around the world the size of the GC parks , flats aren’t the main draw, but instead the coasters and unique experiences are the best rides at the park imo
  9. If they could find the space that be decent. Could replace Doomsday, if Village would be willing to do that.
  10. The fact that a fairly basic flat ride can easily be in someone’s top 3 at the park is kinda sad on dreamworld’s behalf. They need to start adding unique coasters & experiences to the park within the next decade or so. An airtime filled coaster would be good for their coaster collection, and in terms of family rides they showed us what they’re capable of with SkyVoyager, so a nicely paced dark ride (cough…cough…Bluey) would really go a long way.
  11. While I think that S&S is a solid manufacturer, I feel like their designs are quite novelty, with most of their models only ever seeing 2 or 3 installations at the most. I am pretty sure that we will see other big manufacturers start and continue to pop up coasters around the county until S&S build another ride in the nation again.
  12. A Joker’s Madhouse raptor would of been sick, let’s hope they haven’t canceled it and it will be popping up in less than a decade.
  13. Just an idea, but it would be cool if MC could get cars similar to the ones on Hagrid’s at Islands of Adventure. They’re probs quite expensive, but they have lap bars on both the motorbikes and side cars, making it more comfortable, and helping for much quicker dispatches, of which MC’s are terribly slow.
  14. Your definitely right. The wooden wild mouse at LunaPark in one hell of a ride. I especially love the last few bunny hops at the end that give you better airtime than most coasters in the country. As for the boomerangs, I am predicting MV’s will be slightly better, mostly because of that duelling element tho.
  15. I remember them getting new trains for Gold Coaster when it was Hotwheels, but not MDMC
  16. Well it definitely does bring a lot of kinetic energy to the area, and the DreamWorks experience would look much worse without it, but when comparing it to the looks/stats of other kids coasters on the GC, it doesn’t really pack that punch for it’s size. Give it new trains that are less rough and it would improve the ride alot, but I wouldn’t expect that from Dreamworld tbh
  17. Depends what you prefer, an old/rough suspended family with bad restraints, or a boring but smooth kids ride. Either way EFMG is in no way a good ride.
  18. I’ve just joined, but in terms of dreamworld’s next family addition, i feel like either a small scale dark ride/ or water ride will fit well, maybe even a combination of the two, considering dreamworld is full of flats & coasters (not including sky voyager). Then after that a RMC raptor would give them an airtime machine, which they desperately need.
  19. Hi guys I’m new here, I think adding Surfrider to SeaWorld would be fine as a filler attraction, but not without adding something else substantial a few years after, and let’s face it, SeaWorld isn’t gonna do that, considering the land they have. I feel like this park needs a proper thrill coaster, cause JR just meanders around the track, Storm is a water coaster with literally a 1.1m height requirement, and Leviathan will be a great airtime machine but is still family friendly. Either a raptor, small scale vekoma or sky rocket 2 will fill in inversion gap, and potential even a launch, all while probs stay under a 1.4m requirement.
