Just had a look through the documents, and will say my thoughts. Firstly, it seems construction will start soon which is good. I am guessing it will begin after the school holidays with the coaster track/supports moved onsite from Paradise Country eventually. Based on the construction start, I would guess WoO would open before Rivertown due to construction starting earlier and the area being less complex/using many elements from LW/Arkham. Next, one of the sentences says "Pre-Ride Experience Building Refurbishment" which got me wondering. Maybe there could be a pre-show inside the green castle/white castle (Arkham station/theatre building respectively) which would be great instead of inside the station. If there is pre-shows however, I hope there is an option to skip the pre-show and go straight to the coasters so it isn't like Lethal Weapon where you had to watch the 5-minute preshow. Based on that, specifically "building refurbishment" I would say most of the buildings currently in the area will not be demolished and instead reused, even know the Arkham building especially looks like a different building in the concept art. It also says the theming elements will be done by Pico Play, the company that did Steel Taipan/Sky Voyager at Dreamworld and TNT/Project Zero at Gumbuya. My initial thoughts with the concept art were that the area looked similar to Super Nintendo World with the theming and elements, but my guess is because some inspiration was took from it as SNW in Japan was also done by Pico. Overall I am excited to see what comes with this and Rivertown and cant wait to come and see the finished product.

Great to see them completely restoring it, but unfortunately it means the coaster will be down for 2+ years. Not a good time to be a wild mice fan in Australia with this and SDSC both closed for 2+ year refurbs.

Thought I would start a dedicated thread for the construction of the wave swinger, seeing as we have ones for K&BD and Ocean Parade. The globe has been removed and is being stored in front of Steel Taipan (thanks to Oliver Trunks via Jaggs Journeys)

Apparently yesterday was the last day for the Soaring Swing and it will be getting removed. The ride has also been taken off the website.

My understanding is because they are the same trains from before the refurb which also have the same text.

By the looks of construction not starting I feel like it is likely to be delayed. WoO could get a 2024 opening but I am unsure about Rivertown, especially as ground work hasn’t started and it looks very complex compared to WoO.

Here is my guess on what will happen: June 2023 School Holidays: Big Red Planes, Giant Drop open September 2023 School Holidays: Kenny’ Forest Flier, Deep Sea Dodgems, Dreamworld Flier open December 2023 School Holidays: Play School Wheel, Big Red Boat opens Februrary 2024: ABC Kids closes June 2024: Vintage Cars closes 2025: Rivertown opens

Guessing it and the Play School Wheel will be for the summer holidays.

Just seeing this now and I can't believe people believe this on Facebook. TSPN is also trying to convince people bullshit that the top hat will be made double the height, being changed to 80m/260ft so taller than DC Rivals. This is very unrealistic as I said and made most likely for clickbait to get more followers. If they are using LIMs that are slower than hydraulics, how would the train get up the 80m tophat, unless there is a spike (which would ruin the story). I know TPSN makes fake news for followers but this is plain up stupid.

I agree, not to mention it would give Movie World a reputation similar to what happened with the Dreamworld TRRR incident. Long maintenance > Unsafe maintenance

If we count the days it was closed for this period as well as the unscheduled maintenance at the start of the year (first 9 days) then it has been closed for 142 days out of 169. If it just keeps getting extended I feel like it might be time to get rid of it.

Agree. It would be good if they got the trains used on TNT etc (OTS Lap Bars). They are very comfortable and provide a smooth experience. I feel like one of the reasons they cannot switch the trains is because the SFC450 trains are not compatible with the SFC342 track. It could be due to the length of the track being different due to them being made years in between eachother.

Thanks for the interview. I feel like having tilting gondolas would have made it more extreme than LLDoD and ZDoD purely due to them. It would be pretty scary tilting downward and looking straight at the ground. P.S Do you have any more info about KABD and the Wave Swinger?
