Tasmania are on holidays (8 September - 23 September) before everyone else. And then of course you have the rest of Australia. Which finish on the 14th October. So as you can see the holidays start on 8th September and don't finish till 14th October. Term Dates here -

For your information i said "I'm guessing." I didn't say "It'll open on that date." In regards to make things up just to be seen. If i was making it up i would have said "I'll be open on Thursday, Not I guess it'll open on Thursday. It looks like to me that your the one that's looking to be seen. EDIT : I chose Thursday because that's when new rides usually open. -

Thanks for the heads up. They must have updated it this morning as it wasn't there last night. I'm guessing it'll open next week (Thursday) -
It's Red Hill actually. Also it's for all the WVTP including seaworld resort. Yes I'd move closer to work if i was successful. However at the moment It's only till the middle of Oct (end of peak season) I have to ring between 9 and 10 tomorrow to find out if I've made it. EDIT : I wasn't successful.

I've just rang them up and have got an interview at 3pm at MW. It's to work in the beverages area as there's no ride jobs or lifesaving jobs left.

It's been raining in SE QLD for a week. Today is the 1st day of sunshine. although yesterday it did stop raining until last nite. -
You turn left into the holding area and wait for the doors to open so you can board the train.

Just to clarify about the Cyclone. The "new" entry is where the exit is and the exit is where the "old" entry is. The park was pretty quiet today. Felt weird not hearing the T.O.T. I was surprised at how many peeps were in shorts and T's today. Even the kids. If it was another state they would have been rugged up. But as it was QLD they prolly thought the sun would come out soon. Went to the BB house which was cool.

Brisbane Show Ride Prices
dreamworld_rulz replied to dreamworld_rulz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Got back an hour and a half ago. Only went on 1 ride which was the skymaster ferris wheel which was $7.00. Grabbed a hot dog and a 600ml coke for $9. A bucket of fairy floss for $7, all the places we looked at for fairy floss wanted either $8 or $10 but the stall down towards the womens toilets where the flash dance ride is; was cheapest. Had tea at reddy which cost $10.80 but it was rather good. Got a few showbags then left around 6pm. It's my first time at the Ekka and although it wasn't as packed as Melb usually is I found it to be a little too squashed in as Melbourne is more spread out but it was good you didn't have to walk far to get from one place to another and all the rides were pretty much put together. Crowd was a good size..had to push a few times at various parts of the ground but the showbag hall was practically empty and we only waited a mere 5 minutes for the ferris wheel. In total I spent around $75-$80. Here's some pics I took.. -

A MW worker told me earlier in the year. Anyway i agree about the wait times. People have paid a lot of money to enter the park, So they shouldn't have to wait for an hour or so for a ride espcially in off peak periods. I can understand in peak periods. -

Without revenue raising the parks wouldn't be able to buy the rides they want. I don't mind it as long as it benefits the user. The only revenue raising i hate is the SE lockers. They sat it's costs money to run 2 trains, Which is fair enough. But they should use the money so they can run the 2 trains when the wait is over 30mins. -
