Thanks for the pics, nice drop! Was that directed at me? if so I think it'll do some good to the tourism, most people who go the GC go to visit the theme parks (like myself and my family) and Australian's seem to like being the first in the world to have something, even if its just water slides. I thought maybe they jacked the prices up to recoup the money from WWW but as other's have mentioned they aren't a joint park in those terms. It would be interesting to see if DW do lower thier prices but I think they would only do that if they dont sell a certain amount of tickets and I dont think that will be a problem. -

TheGreen Room is a funny name but its not like most guests actually care about the name. My point exactly just because it's called a speed slide doesn't mean it is actually speedy. Good luck with the interview myk. -

Totally agree, peope should just be glad we have a new waterpark opening with slides that they were wishing was avaliable here. I don't go on the Speed Coaster for the "speed", I go on that because it's a water slide, I don't go on the slidewinder because it's on the side; I go on it because it's a good water slide, I don't go on the twister just to "twist" around; it's a fun slide. Names are exactly that and nothing more. What does Lethal Weapon have to do with a rollercoaster? what does a cyclone have to do with a coaster? what does a claw have to do with a giant discus ride?? Names are names they dont make the ride. -
That would be fun to go on and it would give LW a good run for it's money since all DW have in comparison is Cyclone and even though it's a ok ride it's nothing to compete against LW.

In this pic http://www.roller-coaster.com.au/gallery/061025-www/028.jpg it's the blue peices. I quite like that look, like on the speedcoaster you can see the people coming down. -
How can Dreamworld be more (revenue wise) if Disney is bigger / more popular? (I'm curious because I always thought Disney made alot more money than Dreamworld). $185 is expensive in comparison to wvtp but perhaps DW are thinking about the 2007 attraction list..maybe they are putting something in for 2007? It's a shame they closed Blue Lagoon and it doesn't look like there will be anything spectacular in its place but I guess they closed it because they have WWW right next door and WWW is bigger, better and will be much more funner. Uh no, I was just stating that it never crossed my mind because I don't know that much about theme parks because I only visit them and nothing more. Like I said if Adam says so because he obviously knows more about theme parks than what I do. Should get the full story before you assume stuff Gazza

The USA also has a much higher population than Australia, it also get's more visitors from oversea's than what we do so you can't compare our parks to international parks, especially the Disney parks in the States.

I was wondering what they were for than I thought they must be for the water otherwise how else will the slide work. I also like how they have a few transparent peices on the octo racer. -
Can't see on the form where it asks you if you want to renew
-
So do the parks go on QLD Hol's or do they calculate the whole holiday's for each state and than decide when the "school holiday period" start from that?

Yeah you're right, guess most of us are just anxious to ride our first rocket. Suppose it's better that they take thier time than rush it. -
Good they arent closing wipeout while I'm up there! I also agree that I'd rather have them close it before the hols than during..it's packed enough as it is with the big 5 thrill rides going..dont need ride closures during the hol's to make it worse.

See that's where we differ...I go there for the rides, I dont care about themeing and please Police stunt show? it's the SAME show the whole time..seen it once you've seen it before. We usually duck over to Dreamworld at around 1ish if we get bored at MW. I dont care for themeing, I dont care to "take in the atmosphere" and such...I dont just run around to the rides either, I do sit down, relax, eat, go and drool over the chocolate that I'm not allowed to have, go into looney tune land but on a good day it takes roughly 2 hours to do the whole park (except batman cause I dont like that ride). I'm also a pass holder so I go there on average every 3-6 months, nothing has been added since SE and I went on that in January and June this year so..

You know with all the idiots in the world I wouldn't be suprised if someone did try and throw something to make a coaster 'go off the tracks' they take camera's on board when it goes upside down so why not try and make a coaster go off the tracks or hurt someone? Can someone explain how the LIM system works, please? -

I suppose you are right Richard. Would be good if us Pass Holders were allowed to roam the park before it opens. -

They could just mean the "official" opening is on the 26th, still could open it even earlier..that's what wnw did.. I didnt think DW could pull off a top park like wnw but so far so good. -

Ok so there's THREE Australian firsts? of course the watercoaster would have had to be a kiddie ride lol. I dont see how they can just let it sit there for two and a bit months unless they do the landscaping veeeeery slow...or like with Tornado, the media day is the 26th and they'll just open early. -

Thanks for posting, Richard! The first drop on the Rocket looks awesome, I loove how you can see the Tornado and Rocket from the entrance and how they are right next to each other. Hehe the bowl reminds me of a UFO. It's good www have high capacity ride's, especially with the Australian firsts. I think they've made the right choice to operate it at night but do you know if it'll be done every night or just like wnw on a weekend? -

wnw's might be better quality?? they might be made for waterslides or something. -
I like DW over MW for two reasons: more rides and it doesn't take just 2 hours to do the whole park. I wish BB was over and done with, everytime we go to DW my brother HAS to either visit the house (if its open) or go to the BB Shop even though he's been there a billion times before. *shrugs* well since I'm just a theme park visitor and not a theme park obsesser the thought crossed my mind but if you say so.

Yes that's what I meant with my wnw comment lol. Hmm that's good..doesn't really burn and it's at least all leveled, unlike wnw's. -
Has anyone thought that they might be trying to get the money back for www from annual pass holders? or maybe they are planning a new ride for 2007/8. Personally don't see anything wrong with the $15 hike, as long as people continue to buy them at these "high prices" than they'll just keep going up; if less people purchased them than they might actually put them back down but the map is very popular these days.

Yes there is a belt for the rafts on Tornado. Actually I remember reading that WWW have in fact be named the most technological water park in the world, as well as the most water efficient or something..oh here's the quote So I dont think they've "stolen" anything from Jamberoo..hmm while we're at it let's say they stole the idea of the Tornado from wnw, yes? Can I also ask, why do you keep referencing between www and Jamberoo?
