This Wednesday, they struggled to again release yet another shark from their supposed shallow bay? Any comments? Personally i reckon that Sea World are becoming the pawn of the media and are being suckled into thinking that releasing sharks will be releasing tension for the park, but this personally could cause the park to suffer excess time with finding another shark ot possibly making do with the current sharks they have, that is, if THEY'RE still there Well it's 2 sharks to the media, a couple more to go for Sea World.

I personally would be honoured to buy the ThunderBolt... that is, if i had the money to buy it firstly and then to repair it, add theming, replace the trains, paint the track, buy new track (stupid rust) the list goes on.... -
Great photos richo? Just out of curiosity, what type is your camera?
-
It was funny as well that they got Steve Irwin to go to the release of the tiger shark, crikey, i''ve delt with tigers, but never tiger sharks, and golly humungo crikey, where's me hand!

Man that catwalk is starting to peeve me, not the fact that it will bother me anymore... Mind you, that's what happens when a japanese thrill ride company brings a ride to suite Japan's environment into Australia's totally different climate, sorroundings and environment. Could this explain the extra touches with themeing? (note: ThunderBolt has no themeing!)
-
what about the classic twister or "sizzler" as its known at the EKKA! That's pretty fun, for a couple of rides, say once.
-
well if it has more g's, i'm in!

Oh yes, intamin drop rides rock! Especially the Giant Drop!

as one of dreamworld's slogans goes great one day, beautiful the next. More like: beautiful one day, vandalised by hippies the next!
-
But hold on, isn't Meisho (the company that built TB at Dreamworld) japanese?
-
you're right thunder001 (wayne i think!), but still, it would be funny and good to see wonderland possibly give the ThunderBolt a new leash on life e.g. better theming

On last night's report on channel nine news there was a power failure in new york and the manhatten area etc. there were also shots taken from Cedar Point showing all the people on the Millenium Bug and a couple of other rollercoasters there having to get off and walk down the lift hills because of loss of power going up!

*cries in lap.

I think though, regardless of what rust is there, the ThunderBolt was a peice of DreamWorld, literally. And to be removing history for a park like DW, is a bit off, just a bit off to be doing this so quickly.
-
sorry, but that's already in my B'day at DW post! But man they are some good photos you've got there, i also remember that Chuckie statue not being there when i went a month ago, any comments?
-
Hey man, i didn't mean to send that post so i could get flamed!
-
The only annual maintenance i've seen is a couple of new DW logo stickers slapped on to the sides.... DW, when will you learn!
-
Being one of the most (possibly the biggest) DreamWorld freak ever, i have to say that having the ThunderBolt fully dismantled is a big horror to see such a historic piece of DW go and i for one are a bit peeved off over the fact that it will be replaced with "crap, flat" rides. To me, this is a disgrace because: A)their park inversion count goes down from 4 to 2 B)Without the TB, There's gonna be alot more people on the TOT and Cyclone particually during this new "crap ride" comes along C)there's only going to be 4 rollercoasters As my bro's GF working in the crane and manufacturing industry, i will give her a call tonight to free up any more info. PS: i have just checked the DW website and in the thrill ride section, there is no more ThunderBolt more to come

That was hilerious, espacially with the part where it says: Sea World to this day disturbs me for serving fish and chips whilst patrons observe a dolphin stunt show. I simply can't get over this. There really isn't a lot to hold your attention here if you're not into animals (or jetski stunt shows) - however, you may find some entertainment from plopping icecreams into the baby seal pools as you pass overhead in the chairlift. Major attraction last time I visited was the mysterious 'Bermuda Triangle' attraction - ride a boat through murky caves chock-full of outdated special effects as all the four-year-old children in the boat scream in terror. Dig those baby seals!!! i gotta do that next time
