i wasnt going to pay 80 bucks for 10 rides
-
nno i love carnival rides, i have the best time last year, i was just annjoyed with the people and the queue. The rides i really wanted to go on were the rides that were the most buisiest. So i couldn't enjoy the show as much as last years where i managed over 15 rides with 2 hours left to spare. This year 4 rides is an insult.

After a day at the show on Tuesday night, the park was packed out with the biggest crowd at the show so fat this year announced by channel 10. The show was all right at the begging watching all the good shows, and then from a very calm crowd to a packed and very uncomfortable feeling came the ten carnivals. The place was swamped with people literally touching each other from elbow to elbow, to walk you had to go with the crowd and slowly move. We bought our tens x scream Tuesday night pass from 6-10 for only $30, but little did we know it was actually cheaper this year to buy the tickets separately. We spent the 4 hours queuing for 4 rides only. The crazy mouse took a good hour with a very long queue but always moving. Next was my absolute favourite the zipper. With a large crowd not even queuing up but all bunched up in a circle for the most eager people I have ever seen to go on a ride we pushed our way to the front of 2 queues that followed up both sides of the zipper. We slowly made it on the ride and had the time of our lives. This year there was 2 dragon flights both packed and not worth riding and a very long queue for the taipan galaxy roller coaster which was also boring to ride. We made second last ride on the break dance then the rainbow (which was really boring) The space fall drop wasn't high at all and very boring and the cliffhanger was also a drag. With 2 new rides there was 1 ride that didn’t show this yr and I was looking forward to riding the wild mouse, but it wasn’t at the show this yr. We were buggered with headaches hungry and dying to get home from Lidcombe all the way home on a train that came half and hour late with westie boggans everywhere trying to fit on 1 train, luckily we got a seat with people I don’t know and people arse in your face, it was the worst show ever. I’m not planning on going again, But one can only hope that my Luna park experience Friday and my final wonderland experience on Saturday will be good, I hope, Ciao

how reliable is this so called source of yours? i dont think there was 100 000 people, and when you see the weekend you mean the full sunday and saturday. I dont think wonderland can pull 50 000 people each day like that. 20 000 i thinjk is the limit but 50 000 a day and worse 100 000 the weekend, its just impossible. recheck you resources.

the cyclones drop i find boring becasue its not steep or really high becasue it does not reach the ground, the bank curves ruin it because it looses speed and the loops are just boring. The ride sucks but i love the demon, The demon is more suspenseful on the first drop and does have 2 large drops, the ride consists of forwards and backwards motion and involves 3 loops which you do 3 forwards and 3 backwards. The ride is exciting and exhilarating and i think its the best roller coaster in these 2 opinions.

has anybody been to wonderland lately, like this week, has it been packed, what is everything like?
-
ye sthey do have the dragons flight at the show, but its seperated from the ten carnival, its near the superdome where there is a fun factory and right near the sligshot, but the ride is not permanent.

i can assure u that the park will not be packed on tuesday night, people like to spend the day and at night the place is much less the normal, i went last year and yes there were queue lines for the rides but they werent packed it was only like 5-10 min queue max. There are stax of rides, if wonderland pulls 40min queues for what 7 rides the easter show has what over 40 rides of all kind, and evenly distributed will give low queues, plus at the show there is no mucking around with getting people on and off rides, they are very quick, ive noticed every yr they are quick. The other reason why it wont be packed is that very few people know there is a unlimited ride pass, thats what really bites, my friends went today and the people said no there is nothing, what a bunch of lies, of course theres the unlimited pass, so dont be fooled. Check it out it chould be good.

i know this is pretty far ahead but does anyone knoe if there will be rides closewd for the september break, and how often does dreamworld maintence their rides, just under curiosity.
-
pretty crumby yeah farewell, ill try to miss you but theres not much to miss, so see you rot in hell you packed out dirty, no ride theme park, with rides that seem to break down every 5 min. So yeah i pretty much wont miss wonderland except for the demon, which ill terribly miss, so to sum it up Ill miss you demon farewell.
-
why go tommorow, why not go on tuesday ngith from 6-10pm for unlimited rides, which is worth it for $30 after purchasing it last year rather than paying retial of $7 a ticket for one lousy ride. Oh right now u can hear the fireworks. lol. so reconsider im going tuesday night and i advise any people going to the show to go by train because the entry ticket is the showlink ticket which includes public transportaion for one price of i think $20 and no other ticket so ur paying transportation on top of the entry, so you should go by train or bus.
-
what exactly is the cliffhanger at the show? i am so interested in finding out what exactly it is and how good it is.
-
no, it wasnt on the giant drop, it was on the space probe where a young women got whipped on the face by a cable of some sort. i dont remeber when but it was wonderlands space probe.
-
as for all the rides, only the demon is considered to go to dreamworld (nothing is official) and a rumour went around that the space probe is going to the malaysian theme park owned by sunway.

i think they opened at the wrong time, they should have waited till wonderland has officially closed and when the easter show ends like next thursday and when its school holidays, these 3 factors are big, the easter show attracting over 20 000 - 40 000 people a day and wonderland averaging over 13 000 people every weekend (im no to sure about the weekdays) but these factors to lead to shortage of people, i see luna park as a sydney attraction, i would probably have lunch at the centrepoint tower, go to the aquarium then go to luna park at night. Thats the good thing about luna park, its right in the city so its good to spend a day int he city and then check out luna park at night. Thats why wonderland went bad, becasue its too remote, too far and deserted, there is nothing around wonderland.

im going friday the 16th at night, but thats the only day, im spending another day at wonderland and 2 days at the show, so its a packed holiday for me

every saturday is getting worse when i went 3 weeks ago it hit 10 000 people and now just last saturday hit well over 15 000 people. im planning to go on a saturday but its the talk of the week. everyone at school is planning to go on saturday nights and even my cousins from griffith are planning to go on saturday night. The place is the most popular tourist attraction this country has had so far. its just been so chaotic. -
well if i had to build a new theme park in sydney, it would have been located at the olympic site as it is very large, in a large suburban area and easy to travel to. It would have very large rides, thrill rides record roller coasters and many of them. But if i had to build a park in sydney it would be very hard, becasue there are very few large vacant spots near the city to build a theme park with a very large amount of land. The only places left would probably be like penrith or something like that but yeah.

Luna Park Sydney Opening Week Events!
Nightshifter replied to Nightshifter's topic in Theme Park Discussion
there is only 1 way to get in for free, if anybody went to luna park on the last day before it closed for its rehab, people who rode the last few rides of the big dipper received a t-shirt saying i went on the last big dipper ride. Anyone who has this shirt will be able to go on the opening night for free. I think you have to consult someone for tickets but. My friend has a few free tickets but he isnt planning on going, but i saw the t-shirt its nothing special, but he rode the last few rides. -

i sent an email to dreamworld asking if the demon is going to wonderland and if there are any new rides like a gyro swing going to dreamworld. the office answered me with a yes, and then she said there are very big and exciting plans happening to dreamworld later this year.

Sunway rewarded for closing Wonderland
Nightshifter replied to GoGoBoy's topic in Theme Park Discussion
well check this out, wodnerland averages 2700 a day which is almost equivalent to 1 million people a year. yesterday or last ngith got over 11 000 people, now that is crazy as. -
there was only 1 train operating on the bush beast. and i forgot to mention that the space probe got stuck twice. Once at about 5pm and the onther at about 9pm The people were held up there for a good 20min then they were slowly released down. I don't know whats going on but all i told you is what i was told. the demon i think mgiht go to dreamworld but to confirm it i just wanted to hear from many of the staff. One of them seemed real keen that the demon was going to dreamworld. i didn't even ask he overheard a conversation i was having with a friend, saying that they will probably throw it in a scrap metal place then the ride operator on the demon said, it's going to dreamworld, then i said are you sure, and said positive. yeah the park really is starting to get buisier, so yeah, i have nothing else to comment on that. The river rampage used to have pipes in the water then they got ride of them, and now if you notice they are back in. This makes like a massive dip in the water and it works really well. The bush beast was really smooth for some reason, probab;y becasue i was in the direct front. But it seemed smoother and the trim brakes are weird, becasue you don't even stop it brakes not a lot but you used to stop then you go down and now you just go through thew second drop without having to brake. well gtg ciao
