well i got back from wonderland last night and boy was it fun. The river rampage was up to the bridge. i have never in my life queued that long in my life. The bush beast queue line was just infront of the bush beast sign at the front passign through the stairs, i waited an 1hr and 10 min for that. The demon passed the turnstiles wear u enter the demon manorjust near the top load of stairs. that was a 45min wait. Every normal ride whether it was a childrens ride to the dodgems to the endeavour and the great balloon escape fetched more than a 20-40min queue. The space probe went out through the tunnel near the waterfall. that was over an 1hr 20min long. And to my surprise the zodiac was a 30min wait going out past the queue line itself. And the pirate ship went out of the queue leaving 40min queues. It was very busy very packed, i loved it still, this what i rode in 5 hrs: space probe=1 demon=2 rampage=1 bush beast=1 pirate ship=1 zodiac=1 and thats it, it definately filled 5 hrs without having food breaks. If you are heading down to the park on saturday nights, be prepared to wit. To confirm a few things, from a survey of 10 staff, 9 said the demon is going to dreamworld, including the staff that operated the ride and the other thing is that the park may be having a big finale. Nothing is finale but the rumors are true. The staff didn't seem short actually. There was 2 staff on each ride, excluding the bush beast which only had 1 staff. The rest had more than 2 or 2 staff. The shop in the entrance sold hundreds of gifts last ngith, there was queue for that as well. I dont knoe why people would be something from wonderland with the logo, when the park is closing. But yeah and the prices didnt go down unfortunately. But gold rush closed at 8pm last night, also pushing all the poepl from down there into the main part of the park, extending longer queues on each ride an additional 20min you thought the queue were long before, but you ain't seen something like that yet. Lastly that was probably the best time i went to wonderland and enjoyed my second last time, it was too busy but it brought out the fun in everyone, it was nice to see that people do care. What annoyed me the most is that people in queues kept on thinking that it was all a publicity stunt and the park wouldn't close. i laughed but what can u do? Well thanks everyone thats the latest update here ill give u another one when i go on the last day!
-
but none of us can predict anything, its all assumptions. We just have to wait, so far all we know its closing april 26th. We'll just leave it for now until we hear something else. Alright!
-
alright ill give u the news i heard but i dont think it was correct. Ok! but i also heard from a different parson the same thing. A big finale, with fireworks, and spot lights and stuff like that. I dont see why you think that is wrong. I mean i would, for the last day whats wrong with celebrating the final day becasue it will be closed forever. It should be enjoyed one last time, and dont say wnything about money, because the place was sold for 52 million. As far as workers are concerned the park will still close on the 26th April. It has been confirmed everywhere. They wont close earlier.

hey! leave me out of this. you've had 10 years more experience at english than me.
-
lol thats very funny. keep in mind i only want to hear from those who are relating their posts to this topic. I'm going to wonderland tonight so i'll find some confirmation on whether their is a big finale. ok happy everyone.

i think wonderland shouls advertise for one last time advertising and informing people to visit wonderland one last time before closure. Luna park Sydney did just that.
-
actually i just found out that wonderland is celebrating this on the last day to celebrate 19 years. They are doing it very early, but yeah i heard they are planning something really big, and despite money, the guy just sold the park for 52 million so i think only or not even 100 000 can be spent on their last day.
-
just recently i heard wodnerland sydeny will be having a big show on the final day of operation, this may include stars maybe aussie idols there, but its said to be big fireworks displays and everything. to close the park there will be a countdown from 19 symbolising 19 years of operation then they are shutting down operation at 0. it sounds all exciting, ill be heading down for my last ride this saturday then the last day. im not 100% sure on this info, but im sure they are closing with a big bang.

well less than a month away the biggest event is coming to the olympic site at homebush bay and what an event it is. You can check out the new site but the good news is that there are unlimited ride passes called the tens Xsscream Tuesday to the easter show for $30 a person from 5pm-10pm. its pretty fair i went last year and i got sick of going on rides after that. there is 2 new rides this year one of them is the cliff hanger and the other is called the mega drop. can someone please tell me what the mega drop is. and the cliffhanger for that matter.

Alright! Sorry. I'm just pissed off at everything so i'm taking it out on the first person that pisses me off. I apologise. Why do you have to correct everyone with spelling and grammar? Is my spelling and grammar better this time round? -

Wonderland's Demon Coming To Dreamworld
Nightshifter replied to Nightshifter's topic in Theme Park Discussion
I don't get what you mean. Like the space probe will never go to Jamberoo. The demon is going to Dreamworld. You can't ask people if it is or isn't becasue half the people or more will give you a no answer. Daniel how bout you shut up for a change, my spelling, and grammar is just fine, it's the post we are talking about here, so piss off. -

Wonderland's Demon Coming To Dreamworld
Nightshifter replied to Nightshifter's topic in Theme Park Discussion
[if you want to know the truth people dont care where the ride is from , they only care about how good the ride is, the demon was from the expo, it didnt bother people that wonderland bought it from there, i dont even think people know we got it from the 88 expo. a lot of people didnt even know that the cyclone was in fact the big dipper etc. the point is that people just want to enjoy themsleves on a good ride, and the demon is a great ride probably the only ride that gives you suspense in Oz only because you notice you are on a steep angle on the lift hill and that its really high and its the drop that you will go down on. do you think dreamworld would get better publicity if the demon was in the park, the more rides the better, and in the end dreamworld would have 5 roller coasters to their list if im not mistaken. maintenance isnt a problem, people in this forum dont realise that the track doesnt mean anything its only the pulley system that might seem to have problems, but ive never seen any, and come on ive never even heard of a rolle coaster thats never broken down. The top thrill dragster broke down a few months after opening. so in the end dreamworld would be better off with the demon and it would attract a lot of customers. has anybody been down to wonderland in the past week or two? -
Wonderland's Demon Coming To Dreamworld
Nightshifter replied to Nightshifter's topic in Theme Park Discussion
yeah we are not in america here we are living in australia, people who go to dreamworld ect would not even now other rides around the world like a vertical roller coaster exists. we only know because we are into the idea of theme parks, rides, and roller coasters. what i meant is that it would be a great ride in dreamworld because its a great australian roller coaster, its the one of the few we have to offer. i know we COULD build vertical or stand up, but it will never happen, we dont even have the populations to suport these theme parks. americas population is what 10 times our population. so yeah they have stax of theme parks, because people will go. dreamworld and other theme parks in Oz only receive an average of 1 000 000 each park each year, in america its probably like 3 or 4 000 000 a year. i rest my case............for now -
Wonderland's Demon Coming To Dreamworld
Nightshifter replied to Nightshifter's topic in Theme Park Discussion
it would be good to see the demon rethemed where the thunderbolt it now in ocean parade and rename it hurricane and then you could actually have a proper queue line rather than the little boardwalk that wonderland has to offer, and it would be great. the demon is a great ride, doesnt take up much space and it contains 3 inversions which actually goes upside down 6 times 3 of which go backwards, 2 reasonable sized drops one which is backwards and the suspense the ride gives whilst going slowly up the hill of the first drop. its exciting, ive never experienced a rough ride on the demon, if you want a tip always keep your head to one side, but its never been rough and dont give me this mumbo jumbo that it is rough becasue it isnt. it really just needs a good paint job thats all. the demon could look good as new. well theres my view. -
Anyone up for a final Wonderland meet?

Wonderland's Demon Coming To Dreamworld
Nightshifter replied to Nightshifter's topic in Theme Park Discussion
i can seriously tell you that wonderland sis sell the space probe and the demon. this isnt something i just felt like posting. the demon was probably very cheap for dreamworld to buy. its not bad becasue when the big dipper went to dreamworld it was repainted refurbished and it wasnt shacky like it was at luna park. this is great news for dreamworld. its a great roller coaster maybe not to you but people in queensland would see it as a great ride. it just needs a new coat of paint, its not like the ride will be called demon and left black, of course not it would be rethemed. think about it, dreamworld getting a new ride for christmas and possibly a new roller coaster as well if its done in time. -
i have great news confirmed that the space probe will go to sunway lagoon and i'm 100% sure its going to malaysia and the only other rides sold is the Demon. Who will get the Demon??? well facts say that dreamworld has already bought the demon and it will be heading over there. Its true doesnt matter where i got my sources, its from a recent wonderland sydney staff meeting but the demon will be going to dreamworld. Its about time dreamworld gets a great ride, it would be a waste to get rid of the demon.

from the very beggining 19 years ago wonderland was in the wrong spot. At horsley park it was a remote area 20 years ago, it was practically all bush. i'll tell you now wonderland 20 years ago was what waragamba is now, too remote out of location. from the very begining it should have been where the current olympic site is now, its massive and in the area and its closer to the city, better views around when on rides and people notice it. Wonderland should have never been put in eastern creek. Theres no excuse no reason why it shouldn't be at homebush. i still think its a bit remote from the general population of sydney. The only time Wonderland did go big was the olympics becasue they were lucky to have the equestrian nearby to have people travelling in the inner west. still wrong location.
