Cyclone Cow
Richo, you really need to be one or related to one before you can fully understand the TRUE NZ Culture. In a news flash the NZ government has changed the national anthem to "I STILL CALL AUSTRALIA HOME". And the roo's learnt to move so fast watching the kiwi sheep imported to Australia, same as the Kiwi horses!

A water coaster for Wet'n'Wild in 2004??
OK more rumors coming in about the coaster for 2004, and it is sounding more like the style that Rabid mentioned above. All we can do is sit and wiat and hope that it is not rubbish.

DUDE, do you like to repost everyting that I have put on these fourms or what. I stated that in a email from the park, that the construction area is for the buisness area on Tuesday and then you post the same thing on Wensday. I don't normally get ticked off about these things but it is getting beyond a joke. Please read the fourm for info before you post it as it may have allready been posted. I can accept the fact that if it happened once, then it is a fluke/mistake but it has happened to many times to be a mistake. Please read the post above yours fully for info and it's source before posting the same stuff. As for my source, it is the parks head office itself, and that is how I get it right so more times than I get it wrong( which happened on the 4d coaster, although it is still undersided from RUMORS within the park) Ok I am now calm. Although I have not sent the email to Wonderland reguarding the release of the info that I now have, I will do it now. Ok jsut tried to call the park but they are in a meeting, so will have to be by e-mail. If we are lucky the contact will check their mail before going home.

New Attraction
Ok Joz, the rumor mill from OS is still claiming that an Australian park is looking for a wicked twister style coaster to be built here by the end of next year. No park was mentioned, but I am hoping to find it going to either Sea World or Movie World. Will check with Rabid but Sea World would be my choice of destination for this ride as stated above. Any where else that you can think of for this project to be built?

Word to the wise boycotta, don't take the word of someone whose info about the park is about 0% correct, 100% of the time. Remember this is someone who told us the park was closing down. Some info

The future of the Bestie is still undersided at this time. And there was mention of some road works earlier in the topic. I did not send the e-mail to the park about the info that I was given, to see if I could release it to you. This will be sent tonight. All I will say is that the construction for the next new thing in the park may not have to start until about September of this year to be ready for X-Mas. Will send that e-mail today and post the reply tomorrow. Till then, keep dreaming.

Well sorry to burst your bubble, but I have the "REAL" info on the carpark sale and construction as promised. The construction is the start of the Wonderland Buisness Park. The roadworks is part of the general maintaince of the park's road system. This is just getting resurfaced to be a smoother road. The parks next big thing is......a no comment from the park, but it's head officials are in the States at this time discussing new attractions and licencing deals for the next 3 YEARS in the park, so that rules out any rumors of the park closing. As for a new attraction in the park that I have been told about, well I will not say as the email that I received did not say it was for the general publics info. So will e-mail them tomorrow and ask if I can tell you about it yet or not. But there is something coming at the end of this year. The responce on the new coaster issue is as follows word for word. I asked the park; The other rumor is about the "next big thing" at the park. I have heard from as far away as the USA that the next ride to hit the park will be a coaster, and that it will hold a southern hemisphere record of some type. This would leave the door open, (in my eyes) for a hyper or maybe the southern hemisphere's first B&M designed coaster, floorless perhaps. Responce is as follows; It has been raised, however at this stage I am unable to comment as to whether or not it is coming to Wonderland Sydney.

water slide
Not sure but maybe something with clear tunnel section over the wave pool in the park. Would freak you out going over that pool with what looks like nothing below you. Nice touch to any slide.

now harry's gone lets move on.
Best thing about the ride was the air-con and that was about it.

luna parks future
boy oh boy oh boy, when will you young ppl learn that there is no such word as impossible in the dictonary that the designers of rides and parks use. The ride will not be built, IN MY OPION, because of the screams of the riders. The noise of the ride was never an issue at Luna Park Sydney, more the screams of the riders bugging the new owners of the new appartments built near the park. The plans for the referb are to make the park into more of a family style with low impact rides as per there application to the Sydney City Council for the redevelopment. But I never siad that we should stop wishing Richo, and I too would love to see a hyper at Luna, just don't think that it will happen.

I think that it might be a good idea to stop posting rumors as truth without any substance. I will try to get ahold of the park tomorrow about the "factory" and get their side of the story. I have to agree with Richard on the factory. This does not make any logic to build a factory in the carpark, and I have just found the there has been no rezoning with the Sydney City Council or the Penrith City Council in Reguard to Wonderland with the exception of the one that we know and it is not in the main carpark for the park. I could only imagine what boycotta would have told us if he had been able to see the early stages of the Cyclone construction that I documented for Twistedrails during it's construction. Take it from someone in the construction industry mate, the site sheds are put away from the real construction site as they are classed as a safe area under work place health and safety rules Australia Wide. These rules do not change from state to state. Now haveing said that I will call the park tomorrow and put an end to all the rubbish that is placed on this fourm. Sorry but I have had it with the long answers and I am getting to the bottom of this for good. Cya tomorrow.

Matrix will arrive at Movie World?
I'm sorry Richard, I was not aware that you passed a degree in design and management for theme and amusment parks. Nor were any of us aware of your in-depth knowlage and years of hands on work with the running and sucess of any theme park. I am humbled to be in your pressents. ROTFLMAS. You left your self right open for that one and you must have know it Richo. Let us leave it to the experts, cause if they do it wrong, they will get the blame for it. And only time will tell this. 8)

It is not so much that the park would be "poor", rather than good buisness to do this. Can you think of an easier way to make $400 000. and all you have to do is pay 2000to have a sign made. The park is doing this( in my opion) to make profits from other areas other than the income that the park makes. For all we know the Wonderland corp may be building the factory itself and leasing it to the company for use. This creates income for the Wonderland Corp and will continue to do so reguardless what happens to the park itself. I will try to contact Wonderland tomorrow to see if I can get an Official Responce to all that has been said here so we know what is true and what is false and what is not commented on.

How does De ja' Veu compare to a standard bommerang?
Hi there dj, and thanks for the reply. Of all the coasters that I have yet to try the floorless and the hyper are the two that I am looking forward to the most...along with X. I hope to get there soon and extend my limited ride list.

Hi Boycota, Please take a little friendly advise. When talking about the coaster that you think is the best, remember to put the words "in my opion" somewhere in the post. This will stop ppl "bagging" you after you post these topics. As for saying the demon is better than a coaster that you have never ridden, well you are asking for trouble with this. The only one's who are able to reply to this is those ppl who have rideen both coasters as they know the difference between them for fact. We all can look at a tape of a coaster and say well that looks different, but will never know until we ride it. And as for the topic, you must remember that the Da'ja'vu is the largest coaster of it's type so the drop is taller than demon. And in my opion the slc style coasters are more exciting for the reason that you CAN'T see the track laid out in front of you. i would rather site on the LW at WBMW than the Cyclone anyday for the sheer enjoyment of letting your legs swing free. But this is ONLY MY OPION.

"Giant Drop" in the Guiness World Records
from my understanding of the ride and the way the magnets work to move the train, if the computers froze then the train would not get up enough speed to get that far up the tower. And if they did the magnets would not be able to change polarity for the train on the reverse run and it would try to send the train back up the track. I think that I have siad this wrong. The train would only make it just out of the tunnell if the computers froze. The reason is that the computers, using a sensor system and a plc computer setup, allow the first half of the magnet to be the same polarity of the train and the second half to be the reverse. This way the magnets pull-push the train over them. And then they reverse for the ride back. If the computers froze then this cannot happen and the train would just die and go no where. The only way for the ride to reach those speeds is if the computers allowed to much voltage to flow though the magnets, ( they are called electro-magnets for a reason), and thus getting a faster speed. Will check with an old friend who teaches this at tech collage for the new apprentices and get his view on this. I know that he was shown the ride before it opened and is also a fan of these types of rides so will let you all know soon.
