  5. I am keen to do a SeaWorld and Wet N Wild World after I finish WBMW but that will take a couple of months. My suggestion is to study the aerial maps and plans of the park first and figure out the paths and buildings in size order ie the smallest to biggest to ensure you get the park and buildings to scale. It's a lot harder and more time consuming than you think ie my WBMW has taken 40 hrs already and will require another 60 to complete. After you have done a rough scale and size plan of the park start to lay it out and ensure you get the terain heights right before you start building as raising and lowering the land is harder with buildngs on it. Seaworld won't have to many varring heights, just need to get the pools and lakes acurate and go from there. I do the park to scale first then build the buildings in grey once I have them in their correct locations then I start to fill I the detail and get colors and windows and doors to scale. Also have two park files ie when you save you park save it twice call the second park backup SeaWorld I've lost, crashed and frozen my WBMW 4 times already and had to start from the last backup file so it's really important to do this always to ensure you have a copy so if you lose or game crashes you won't lose all your work and have to start again. If you need any help or advise just ask. Cheers and good luck :-)
  6. Front entrance Main Street roof. Been tough getting this right doing all building in grey block until i get the heights right then i will color them in like the previous park i did, working allot to get building size and scales more accurate this time.
  7. New year & time to finish this WBMW GC recreation. Have started a fresh park and will be as accurate within the RCT3 limitations. Yes i will put the new roof on and will only have the parks featured rides no additions people can do that as once im finished yes i will posting the park online for all to download and use. Will take two months to complete as i spend about 1 hour per day adding to park and will post new pics 2-3 times per week as i finish a section or major ride. Cheers Brendan Opps thought i was uploading the thumbnails pics, can some one remind me how to load the images so they appear on post and wont have to be downloaded. 10. No updates sorry, it will take approx 50 hours to finish so hope to have this done in Nov as i am visiting Movie World for a holiday in four weeks so i can add the latest attractions in to have a more complete recreation. The park has taken over 100 hours to get to this stage so with me starting a new job i just have not had time to work on this.
  11. Looking at the Halloween event from 2006 i have a few questions for the forum. Will this become an annual event ? Will it be over several nights in 2007 ? How did people purchase tickets for this event in 2006 ? Does anyone have more information about it as i want to attend WBMW Halloween 2007 but need to know dates so i can book my holiday and flights to ensure i am there for the event. Cheers Brendan
  12. Thanks for the tip Gazza, Good thinking that way the buildings insides will again look more like a recreation and less like RCT 3, its taking longer than i had hoped building a recreation is damm hard work. Here is more shots as well. Cheers Brendan
  13. New Main Street pics, Completed the Shrek and ice cream parts of Main Street over the weekend so here is 4 more shots of the work to date . Cheers Brendan
  14. Thanks for constructive criticism, After I complete this recreation (really a modified WBMW) I will put two versions out so everyone can download them 1) My modified versions with extra rides inside the buildings 2) A true recreation with only the real rides inside the buildings Version 2 will take some time as I will need to re-do the whole front entrance as it is out of scale and this will shorten not only main street but the batman and entrance plaza round about also. I didn't notice the jumping fountains and have removed them. Here is an aerial overview and yes I know WBMW does not have fireworks as you can see in the attached picture I will remove all these added item in version two when I complete it. In my modified version I will be including new areas to try out new ideas I have so far thought about, 1) Sci-fi themed area with dueling Matrix red and blue roller coasters 2) Toon Lagoon area like Islands of Adventure but based around Cartoon Network cartoons 3) Harry Potter area like the recently announced Islands of Adventure one 4) Simpson’s "Springfield" zone recreate part of the town I know this will change the look of the recreation to a modified WBMW and that’s why I will do two versions, I really started doing the recreation so I could design a new area within the park and see what that would look like. Cheers Brendan
  15. Main street update, Over the weekend i started on the right hand side of main street i have kept the rides inside these building as when i first built Warner Bros Movie World i could not get more then 1000 peeps in the park now that i have 40 rides i get 2300 peeps in park due to higher ride capacities. Will keep working on park hope to get left hand side done this weekend. Matty O, thanks for your words of support your Dreamworld park is still the best recreation i have seen ! Enjoy the pics.
  16. Here is a few more aerial shots of the park progress to date, still working on main street and looney tunes areas. The Police Academy area has four shows where the grand stands would normally be. Taken three shots from three corners of the park. Two shots of wild west area.
  17. Been working on this park for a couple of days and here is some pics of what i have added. The Batman and Looney tunes rides have been filled inside with various rides and this is to get peeps to use them as when i fist had only one ride inside no one used them. Have yet to finish shops and main street plus police academy ride but you get a rough idea of the park layout and various areas i have nearly completed ie western area. Will update pics when i have worked on the Looney tunes and main street areas. Modified pics 15/07/07 Have removed pictures to down load and put in some construction pictues in as i am running out of room.
  18. What would the 2006 admission figures be ? See Warner Village theme parks had 3.3 million visitors so how would this break down by park ? Movie World 1.4 Dreamworld 1.3 Sea World 1.2 Wet n Wild .7 White Water ?? Why dont they make these figures public like Dreamworld does, what are they hiding ?
  19. Finally a WBMW recreation for RCT3 Great start on the three roller coasters and general layout of the park and buildings also. Way to solve the mechanics issue is to adjust the land in front of the Scooby ride so they can enter the ride path as neither the guests nor staff can enter at the moment. Like Mickey_079 said just join the queue line to the ashfault and problem solved ! Played the game for a few hours and here are my observations so far Superman trains some times take two attempts to make it up the first lift tower Most popular ride is Batman tower the peeps just love it but you need to increase the lift speed to 84 kmph so the carriage makes it to the top of the tower and this made the ride even more popular. To make the Wild West ride more popular put a few food and drink stalls by its entrance to draw people to the back of the park other wise after 2 hrs only 6 people had ridden on Wild West when I played the game the first time. Do heaps of advertising for Scooby coaster and the crowds will come flocking but his ride has massive queues some times over 100 people in the queue. Will post some more comments after I build the Looney Tunes area and see what effect this has on the park and peeps then I’ll post another update and the park file so others can play and complete. That’s all folks
  20. Peter Jackson has The Lord of the Rings props in a museum in Wellington New Zealand so Movie World should look at building sets from the movies like Hobbiton, inside one of the Twin Towers etc would be easy to build and providing they got permission easy to get the props and costumes to display and make one hell of a studio tour. Harry Potter would make a great ride walking thru a magic school as a queue area then onto a broom ride or motion simulator or coaster like Spiderman from Islands of Adventure combining a great ride with special effects really create a family thrill ride. If they have all the rights to Warner Brothers huge studio of films now over 10,000 yes its true the have the biggest film library in the world they should look for a few more theme areas for years to come. Here is a list of the major theme park company’s areas. Disney themed areas in most of its theme parks include the following. 9 Parks World Wide, USA, France, China, Japan Main Street USA Adventure land Frontierland Fantasyland Tommorrowland Toontown New Orleans Universal themed areas include 5 Theme parks USA, Spain, Japan New York Hollywood San Francisco / Amity - jaws inspired Kidzone Jurrassic Park WaterWorld Old West The Back Lot - studio tours Cedar Fair / Paramount Parks 14 Parks all in USA Waterworks - water shows Nickelodeon Central Kidzville International Street - food areas Rivertown - wet rides Paramount Action Zone Hanna Barbera Land Boomerang Bay - water parks Country Fair Ghost Town Fiesta Village Indian Trails Snoopy World Six Flags 37 Parks USA, Canada, Mexico Bugs Bunny Land Looney Tunes Sea Port Movietown Mardi Gras Hurricane Harbor Country Fair Thunder Rivers World Fair Boom Town Story town Jungleland Gotham City Skull Island DC Comics plaza Studio Backlot Main Street Frontier Adventure Old Country Fantasy Forest Boardwalk So there are lots of areas from other theme park companies to consider. As Warner’s Porky Pigs says That’s all Folks.
  21. Richard, great minds think alike your idea is along the lines I was thinking a Hollywood street but made up of the great Australian movies sort of like the walk of fame which could be used in this area also. Picture this The Great Australian Movie Adventure where you wander down and around the houses, sets and locations from iconic Australian movies have Info screens and plaques giving additional information about the movies as told by the stars and crew of each movie. Could display the props, costumes and scripts and souvenirs also having a photo / video stop to take home a little piece of Australian movie history. This area would be constantly updated and added to as more great movies are made and have a yearly unveiling of the new sets / attractions then get the stars to cast their hand prints and signatures into concrete cementing their place in movie history. Also the Australian movie awards ( cant remember there name Aria’s ? ) should be held every year at movie world to cement the movie awards with the theme park. Movie World should host a yearly Oscar / Academy Awards party and encourage every one to come dressed as there favorite movie star / character and win prizes for the best dress / performance. Still think TV Town has a lot of merit also look how well Big Brother has done at DreamWorld and TV is just like a cinema in your home any how TV Town could feature Australian TV shows/sets as well as classic Warner Bros sets like café from Friends the OR from ER, the Oval office from West Wing etc. Could have a fun area as TV tie ins at movie parks are increasing i.e. Wiggles World and Nick land at dreamworld and Cartoon Beach at Sea World so why not a TV Town based on the biggest TV shows also ?
  22. Ok so lets talk Warner Bros movies please remember that Warner Brothers now also own New Line Cinema and Castle Rock Films plus the own all the pre MGM/UA films and HB cartoons and Cartoon Networks, HBO films and finally WBTV, TBS Lorimar tele pics please refer to the WB corporate web site as they own more than 10 film companies So it depends how Warner Bros you want to go. I.e. Lord of the Rings, Austin Powers, Rush Hour and The Mask where made by New Line Cinema, which is owned by Time Warner, so does that count? Twister (1997) was made 50/50 with Universal, Bond film Never say Never again was a WB remake of Thunderball a MGM film and Towering Inferno was a 50/50 film with 20th Fox. For all the top 100 WB films please refer to www.boxofficemojo.com or for the top 50 films over the last 10 years refer to www.boxofficeguru.com they will list all the WB films over the last 100 years. Here are some of the signature films of Warner Brothers you can class them into categories like western, sci fi if you want, I will just give you a list of some great films that would make great theme park attractions and rides at WBMW Australia. Troy ( 2004 ) - Adventure/Epic Robin Hood (1938 + 1991) - Adventure House of Wax (1953 = 2004 ) - Horror Omega Man ( 1971 ) - Sci fi Blazing Saddles ( 1974 ) - Western Time Machine ( 1979 + 2004 ) - Sci fi Shinning ( 1980 ) - Horror Beetlejuice ( 1988 ) - Comedy/Horror Woodstock ( 1969) - Musical Never ending Story ( 1984 ) - Fantasy Noah’s Ark ( 1929 ) - Biblical A.I ( 2001 ) - Sci - fi Interview with a Vampire ( 1994 ) - Horror Oceans 11/12/13 ( 1960 + 2001 + 2004 + 2007 ) - Action Bonny and Clyde ( 1967 ) - Action Blade Runner ( 1982 ) - Sci fi National Lampoons Vacations ( 1985 ) The Goonies ( 1985 ) - Adventure Mad Max ( 1982 ) - Sci fi Will type some more later but there is dozens of films that WBMW could use. Warner Brothers films feature allot of Science Fiction, Action and Horror films so they could make a whole new section using several films to make up new attractions, shops, rides and restaurants to create a new section like Horror Hill using films the following horror movies. The Exorcist, House of Wax, Clockwork Orange, Little Shop of Horrors, Deliverance, Witches of Eastwick, Bettlejuice, Interview with a Vampire, Outland, Ghost Ship, house of Horrors, 13 ghosts, this section would then been used allot for October as the Halloween Horror month. Any How Shrek is a DreamWorks film so not ever film in the theme park belongs to Warner and world wide theme park use other film companies movies i.e. Star Wars is a 20th Fox movie yet Disney use them and Men in Black is a Sony movie used in a Universal park. Hope these film give you some ideas how past Warner films could make some great rides, attractions and whole new areas to expand the park.
  23. Good ideas been generated here but why not a movie ride after all the park is called Movie World? The ride would be similar to the great movie ride at Disney/MGM studios in Orlando Florida a ride that show cases the great Australian movies i.e. Mad Max (truck), Priscilla (bus), Croc Dundee (farm), Ned Kelly’s (house), Babe (stables), Gallipoli (trenches) etc. Could even have a meet and greet the characters in TV Town where you recreate a street from Neighbors or Home and away where you walk around the houses and sets of your favorite TV shows make it interactive even shoot your favorite scene with you in it. Would be great to see an Australian theme around some of the great movies, music and TV shows that you guys make ( I am from NZ and don’t start on the sheep jokes after all you guys made Babe the sheep movie ! ) Instead of a ride why not a recreation of movie sets, TV shows that you can film or have you photo taken with digital stars place in beside or interacting with you. Anyhow Movie World is a fantastic park you guys should be proud for its size and for its admission levels its incredibly well themed, great rides and a daily parade good to see they are having events like Halloween as well, MW need's to have more themed events and open the park late on the weekends to 9 - 10 pm.
  24. Matty o again great work on the RCT2 WB Movieworld and RCT2 & RCT3 Dreamworld recreations so will you be making and releasing any more parks ie RCT3 Movie World, Sea World or Wet N Wild ?
