New Show For Movie World
Pretty bad guess. Why would a show run longer than the park itself, which opened in 1991?

New Kids Ride for Movie World
My hope too...They could easily close that whole loop of path and use the speedys and marvin area, and thats a fair chunk of land for an outdoor kids ride, or rides.

New Kids Ride for Movie World
^That said, a simulator with multiple levels ala The Simpsons Ride could work too. But I'd wonder if the amount of digging you'd need to do would make it cost effective?

New Kids Ride for Movie World
Yes, you can put big set pieces in...To the stage area...What do you plan on doing with the seating area, which represents a huge chunk of the building? I already have proven it as far as I'm concerned...You are simply not going to do much with the big seating area in the building.

New Kids Ride for Movie World
So then why are you saying it is possible, without 100% proof? The point is, the building Scooby is in, is just a big shed with a flat floor...A box really that you can stick anything in, and it just so happened a fairly standard wild mouse layout fitted in perfectly. Big open sheds are quite good for building rides in you know: http://rcdb.com/1041.htm?p=10162 Similarly, the conversion from Batman to Justice League also showed how adaptable the building type is....Take out the simulator pods, fill in the pits where the hydraulics were, and all of sudden you have a nice flat floorcan fit a dark ride in there. Same goes for the Kids driving school. On the other hand, the show stage is build on an earthen hillside (Was originally an outdoor arena for the Western horse show, that was enclosed) with tiered seating, so by the time you get to the back row you've only got 3m of overhead clearance...It's a bit like trying to build a ride on the tiered seating area of the Stunt Driver arena. If you can do a quick cross section showing a strategy for the type of ride you could put in there, fine, but as it stands all it seems good for is: -A show. -Squeezing a Halloween maze on the flat bit of floor at the botttom. -Possibly something like some indoor waterslides, to make use of the apparent slope and the flat landing area at the bottom, but that would be stupid at MW. And its not like Storm Coaster, where the building is big enough to just drive earth movers inside and do what needs doing. Access is a major consideration in any adaptive reuse project.

Pinksmile might need some counselling if it turns out they stopped using it!

Adventure World New Coaster - Abyss
Depends on where the track is manufactured, which tends to be Germany, Eastern Europe, or China depending on who is supplying the ride. Shipping isn't even the important thing though, site works, footers and labour are well and truly the major chunk of ride construction costs.

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
But the point is, if it could make it onto the first lift without it, why was it needed for the second? And besides, wouldn't the S bend after that tiny drop negate any alignment or speed gained?
-
Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
No, because you are floating on water up to the last lift. But other water coasters don't have a separate little drop...Eg on the dark ride section at the start of JTA you just enter straight onto the lift. Finally, reconnecting to the track is a pretty simple affair on water coasters..It just rolls straight in.

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
Here's a POV at the time of that little drop (3:40) All it ends up doing is make the water wash over the front of the boat into your lap...Dunno what the reason for it is.

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
Journey to Atlants has a little tiny drop in it, except it doesn't cause a big spraying splash, but rather a mini tidal wave that washes back into the boat: http://rcdb.com/1904.htm?p=10378

New Ideas For Gold Coast Parks
Given they had to make vikings revenge shorter to make room for the water coaster, how do propose they go and make it longer at the same time?

Thoughts on my latest visit to the Gold Coast
Healthy food? Anyway...The Peri Peri Chicken Flatbread from the MW Bakery...Get on it. I wouldn't necessarily rely on food from a franchise being cheaper...Dominos at SW/WnW costs more than outside the park for example. Never been into the Boost at DW (Or Boost at all for that matter), but I bet they would cost more than outside too. PS, Comes up a lot, but Subway isn't "healthy"..Yeah they've got a few low fat items on the menu, but so does everyone these days... Would you call these subway items healthy? Mmmm, would you just look at all that processed meat in that last one! See http://www.lo-q.com/...ons.html#Qsmart

Que? http://www.smh.com.au/it-pro/government-it/enthusiasm-but-few-takers-on-opal-launch-day-20121207-2azgi.html "Trips on the Opal card will cost the same as they do on current tickets, Ms Berejiklian said"
-
Wet 'n' Wild Sydney Construction
Dunno if they would bother with a special ticket...People will just use the upcoming opal card on buses to the park....Just like people use Myki to get to LPM on the tram, or Smart rider to Adventure World, or GoCard to get to the GC parks.

Disney Kingdom Resort for Australia (brainstorming)
Or Sydney, given you'd capture all the incoming tourists, and have more of a local population to support it. (Not that either of these are high enough to support Disney, so it's a moot point. Couldn't you get a transfer with your job to Qld or something, and forget about Adelaide?

Why are there no private rollercoasters?
http://rcdb.com/4931.htm Neverland Ranch had two coasters. a small looper, and a dragon wagon coaster .For the record, here are all the parks not open to the public: http://rcdb.com/r.htm?ot=3&ca=166 But none are really owned by billionaires etc. I think you'd get sick of a personal coaster after a couple of hundred rides. At least with a yacht you can host parties and go different places with it.

Water Park for Perth
Is it really the governments responsibility to be funding theme parks? African Safari World got knocked back because the Government didn't want to contribute to the capital cost. Yes it would "generate jobs" (directly, and through tourism), but so you'd get economic development and jobs by doing stuff like finally building the Airport rail link, port upgrades, better high schools and TAFEs etc...You know, the stuff state governments should be pouring money into.....Anyways Why not just wait around and let some investor do a theme park with their own money?
