Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
I think theme parks always have space. Nothing lasts forever. Who'd have expected that one day a swimming pool at the water park would be modified to hold a splash battle for instance? I think Occams Razor is true in this case. Dinosaur island was an animatronic exhibit they have rented for a year or so. That doesn't indicate them suddenly departing from live animal exhibits, which have been the backbone of the park. Yeah could be a jungle cruise type thing, but why would they build one in preference to just animal enclosures and underwater viewing areas?

Why would they start using fake animals in exhibits.....that would be the worst thing ever. It's not like Dinosaur island...Hippos aren't extinct, so you aren't forced to use a robot...you can get a live one just like plenty of other zoos.

I don't even think its a ride. I think it's an animal exhibit. Which water play area? Google maps link?

Wet 'n' Wild Sydney Construction
Presumably looking North East, due to the postion of the car park. jjuttp that sketch is outdated too (Eg the aqualoops are combined with the racing slide, numerous other rides have changed position/been swapped out) . The most up to date thing is the video on the WnWS website.

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
Why is it assumed that the 2014 will go in the building? (It's not a show stage) Is it because they are sharing space on the same billboard? My thoughts are that they just wanted to save money and not build a 2nd billboard! The one there is fine, its in a central location. Plus animals like that need their sun.

What will replace Looney Tunes River Ride?
My current theory is that batwing spaceshot is literally launching into space, and that's how Batman gets up to the Justice League watchtower (Where he is commanding from in the JL3D ride) Nah Silly me, the Justice League have teleporters don't they?

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
No, point is all you can tell from that poster is: -It will be a water coaster. -It will have a sea storm theme. How did you conclude from the poster that it won't have an indoor section? You said "by the looks of it".Looks of what on there? I'm just wanting to know your reasoning? It doesn't confirm anything, but if you posted it, i means you believe it yourself, at least a bit. Nope I just know the height of the giant wave Rumor has it the tidal wave will travel down the Nerang river, through the sea lion arena and through the park in a 40m wide concrete channel. The tidal wave wiIl of course, be powered by the thunder river pumps at DW.

Im more than well aware of the water around each ride.there's okay creek, the reservoir in the middle of thunder river and the lagoon under the log ride. But what do any of those bodies of water have to do with powering these rides? You know how water rides are powered right? with pumps running on electricity.

Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
Nah RWC you said "current generator" and "artificial water current"..as in the thing actually creating the flow thats pushing boats around. How can you say you actually meant the water supply that the channel is filled with. And you should have known the wiki article was wrong so why trust it/ repost information? It says the catchment "powers" the ride...well um explain to me how a lake of water just sitting there in the middle is capable of making water magically move. Last time I checked thunder river is powered by those two big ass pumps at the top of the conveyor...You've seen them right? Don't go calling people terminology Nazis just for posting the facts. You were the one dumb enough to blindly believe a Wikipedia edit that said a lake of static water magically powers two nearby rides. I'm waiting for someone to write on wiki that the tower of terror is " powered" by the acoustic energy of the tigers roaring in tiger island.

Plus, a couple of other fairly obvious things that would prevent most regular people from thinking up that idea in the first place. -Can see the pumping equipment from guest view, and in particular you can see the pumping system for Thunder River from the Giant Drop. -They use separate systems, or else both would have to close for annual maintenance at the same time/ if one ride stopped flowing the other would too (Who remembers that period a year or so ago when Thunder River closed unexpectedly so the Log Ride was the only one operating) -Differing flow rates for each attraction. -Physical inefficiency/ impossibility of having two separate loops of water a a fair distance apart running off the one pump. -Etc
-
Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
^True, but having the same brown water source (Oaky creek) does not imply that they also have the same pumping systems actually pushing the boats around the ride in the "artificial water current". That's just silly.
-
Sea World Storm Coaster construction 2013
I'm confused? Thunder River and the Log Ride have separate pumping systems.Thunder River: http://goo.gl/maps/8GEPk(Top of the conveyor, you can see the water bubbling out in two big circles either side)Log Ride: http://goo.gl/maps/jHoF2(Shed under bottom of final drop)

Ok then, if the poster is a reliable source of what features this ride will/wont have, then I assume everyone is looking forward to the part where the track dives steeply underwater, next to a trawler. And that a giant 30m high wave will engulf the trackwork at regular intervals, as also illustrated in the poster.

What will replace Looney Tunes River Ride?
Because food prep equipment eventually gets old and needs replacing, and new systems get implemented.Kinda like what Maccas did with all their kitchens in the late 2000s. I think the placement is fine, because you don't put big food outlets in a low traffic area like that. The place it is on, is one of the main routes in the park, between Main street, and Scooby/Wild West. Families with kids etc wouldn't typically have a reason to wander down near Arkham at the moment.

What will replace Looney Tunes River Ride?
It was refit in the last year or two, so I don't think it will move.
