  1. <<Speculation>> Those who have been on Parkz for a while would know Hippos and Saltwater Crocs have both been rumoured to be added to the park at some point...The Gorillas are a new one, but they could well just balance the area out. I think it would be more major...You wouldn't announce animatronic gorillas 2 years in advance. And if its actual live animals, you'd need to do some decent reclamation on the ski lake to fit animal habitats and back of house support areas (Its currently a thin strip of land remember) Again, a kids flat ride themed to gorillas or cros or hippos wouldn't be announced now. I reckon this is gonna be a "big one". Just like the water coaster.
  2. Geez, attractions announced 2 years out? We're turning into Disney! Also, I swear the graphic artist chose gorilla shots with the silliest facial expressions.
  3. But when you are a kid it is/was the best thing ever. I'm not really sure why its low grade compared to any other kids ride. Personally, I'd look at just having mirror image tracks and more cars to make it work capacity wise. Could you put a walkthrough inside the Lethal Cinema? The step downs in that room aren't as large, so you could just make it a single split level space. Another option is between Superman and Studio Admin (The C shaped building east of Arkham) at least then the buiding 'walls off' the current undesirable view of the roads etc at that end of the park. Add metropolis skycraper facades and voila.
  4. Would you replace them with taxis that have longer battery life? If not, and you intend to get rid of self drive kids cars, you're basically a monster.
  5. Yes but a well themed queue (with props, backlot theming) is a different kettle of fish to an actual stand alone walkthrough.
  6. Point is, there is a difference between something being appealing, versus being appealing long term. Are you going to keep going into an exibit with the regularity that you reride the parks other attractions? Museums always rotate their exhibitions because that's what the whole concept is about, and yes SW got Dinosaur island, but that's only sticking around for a year or so isn't it?
  7. Quoting this, because the notion of putting a dark ride in the show stage is one of those stupid ideas that just needs to go away.
  8. it is new..remember it used to skirt along jet rescue and do a u turn inside the volcano. and it used to be all blue fibreglass.
  9. You can rotate photos when viewing them quite easily, and this can be done prior to uploading:
  10. Did anyone else see that the old Shrek Shop has had its trim repainted Maroon (From the old lime green) and is now the "Village Bean" coffee shop, selling cakes, coffee, frappes etc. The interior has faux brick walls (Like in a typical subway franchise) and there is outdoor seating in perspective alley.
  11. HJCYULOTATAWL? IMYPDTRO.
  12. But you could work it such that upon entering the building, that marks leaving the WB kids area and the start if the new themed area indoors, so not breaking the theme at all. Also, how would you make the Scooby doo coaster fit a Hogwarts theme?
  13. I'm guessing they will. In the past, on previous new attraction openings, such as Buzzsaw, and Shockwave they have provided it, and I'm guessing this will be no different. Q4U is great, I've used it in the past and it can really help your day go smoother. Source: en.wikipedia.org
  14. Who said that lol? Doesn't sound very plausible.
  15. I don' think you'd get licencing for a wild mouse coaster to become a Harry potter theme...Maybe if it were Gringotts themed? Anyway, the current castle facade is nothing like Hogwarts. I mean, if you really wanted a potter ride, why not just make the whole Looney Tunes building a potter ride / indoor potter themed area?
  16. Fail, the article is dated 2011, so "next year" is 2012, we're nearly at the end of 2012 in 15 days time, oh, and it follows Mammoth already opened in the US summer. Also, Funnel Web is 270m long. But Wildebeest (Holiday Worlds other hydromagnetic ride) is already 521m long), and Wildebeest opened back in 2010
  17. Can you take a photo / scan the article? Meh, too spinning mouses in the world, and have ridden it both at the Melbourne and Shepparton shows, don't care if I never ride it again.
  18. A few pics on the LPM page: http://www.facebook.com/LunaParkMelbourne/photos_stream Yay, its the same coaster as the Travelling circiut and not a separate one, so I don't have to ride it, and it means its still only one more coaster I have to ride to get the full Australian set
  19. It's always been there though. See the Parkz updates.
  20. It's a new coaster by the looks of it (Report on 9 News just then), so not just the travelling one set up permanently. (Unless Crazy Mouse/Coaster got blue supports and orange track recently?)
  21. Fail, the article already posted about the Chinese park actually says the direction it is from Sydney and the distance. Read it again. Then, put the location stated in the article into Google Maps and you'd be able to get the place. The last time I was actually on the ground in Sydney (Not just changing planes) was 10 years ago. Problem?
  22. What I mean is, do you really have to go on these bizzare, yet uber detailed tangents on stupid stuff like Mao posters or the "real chinese flag" on buildings or coney island theming on rides?
  23. RWC, why do you have to be so weird all the time? Serious question.
  24. ^When I read the topic, I was admittedly hopeful a Chimelong/Happy Valley/OCT owned park was opening here.
