  1. Why does the Lion have all things sticking off its back? I'ts a dragon...or a centipede.
  2. Fail. They look nothing alike. The fibreglass thing at DW doesn't have a pointy nose. And the eyes look different, more bulge shaped. And the colours are different.
  3. I wouldn't be 'slightly more stable' since it doesn't magically gain strength....Without wear and tear it it would just hold steady, and be at an equal level to what it was.
  4. Lol so is Shambalah "short for a B&M mega" because it's not as tall as Levaithan?
  5. Quick question, but who is to say Zamperla hadn't insured...They might not be taking a loss at all. Hey what if Europa Park had a disaster...Should everyone help out by purchasing a Mack ride? Or is Mont Cascades had a disaster should everyone buy a Proslide? So the profit margin on one ride install makes a meaningful contribution to a whole damaged park?
  6. What was that in the Jamberoo thread about making sure WnWSs tornado was as good as funnel web
  7. Or better still a Mack water coaster.
  8. Presuming she is talking about Seal Harbour. I mean, it would be pretty foolish of Kujotess to believe/suggest that a Mack water coaster could be completed and ready in 6 weeks from now.
  9. There's also a "Water Coaster" approval listed on the GCCC PD-Online system now.
  10. I wonder if it was a contractor/visitor, and that was the reason for not apologising/ not caring? Hard to believe a permanent employee would act in that manner.
  11. They can be, if properly co-ordinated [/architect]
  12. ^Why are these descriptions so top secret :S Send em through I guess...
  13. http://business.highbeam.com/53/article-1G1-111204257/fun-allianceduring-iaapa-convention-orlando-alberto Sound pretty much it. That's all have found, nothing that refers to Zamperla doing a full buyout, or taking ownership of Reverhons plant. Honest question though, who was the person or group or book that said scenic railway has 6 trains?
  14. No that one is a Reverchon. Once Reverchon went bust the twister coaster design was picked up by Zamperla. Lol where has this OCD obsession with Zamperla+Coney Island+Luna Park come from? Luna park builds a ride with an off the shelf theme that matches one at Coney Island, and all of a sudden that is interpreted as there being some corporate partnership and that future rides are gonna be that theme etc etc etc. Reality Check: It doesn't mean anything. Name me one theme park that doesn't have at least some Zamperla rides in its line up.....Heck, even my local shopping center has a zamperla made coin operated car. Who/what?
  15. Lex Luthor has single rider so no need for paying extra for a ride on it.
  16. So you're saying it is a coaster after all?
  17. Why would there be 6 trains? It would be impossible to load them fast enough nor enough areas to hold them in the event of stacking. Why would there be 6 trains? It would be impossible to load them fast enough nor enough areas to hold them in the event of stacking. Also, why should we believe what that person said on FB? He could be making it up.
  18. So you've never stopped to consider that your opinion is wrong and you are being obnoxious? It's a coaster. People might not like DW, or see Buzzsaw as unsubstantial compared to coasters with a longer layout ,but it's stupid to say Buzzsaw is not a coaster...You ride in a car along a track, and at atleast one point in the ride you roll uphill under you own kinetic energy. That's a coaster. Well the ride in this pic is also just a lift hill and a turn (And then you're back at the station) Are you saying this is not a coaster then?http://rcdb.com/2613.htm?p=9531 Random point 1: Who else reckons it was a missed chance for a branding tie in (They love em!) With the Red Bull Air race. Random point 2: We could have known about this ride in April. http://www.themeparkpost.com/index/2012180-zamperla-s-air-race-ride-proving-a-success
  19. MW includes drinks again FWIW. Agreed with the Disney idea of making food a bit unique...Epcot was like that. Re: not returning to the theme parks due to food prices.... Are you going for the hot dogs, or for the rides? It's like not going to the footy/a concert due to venue food prices, or never using an airport, due to the prices they typically have.
  20. Arguably Australia's most famous Christmas display, the Myer Christmas windows launches 8th of November so they get in early too. Problem?
  21. I think this looks ok, but at the same time I just don't get why DW needs another spinning flat....I even felt Shockwave was unneeded when it opened (Only a year and a bit ago)
  22. What mountain, and why does it matter what height it is? http://www.nearmap.com/?ll=-27.864361,153.317202&z=20&t=h&nmd=20120805 A brainsurge type ride could replicate doing kung fu somersaults and backflips.
  23. Plus, doesn't DW have more than enough flats as it is? I mean, even shockwave was unnecessary IMO.
  24. ^You can still get a pass till Nov 2013 for $109. Look at the website.
  25. It could be a sky roller too, like the one at Belantis in Germany. That's if it even is this type of ride.
