  1. I think its better to go on rides in order of queue length, rather than the 'best' ones first. So I'd do something like -Turn up at opening. -Scooby Doo -Wild West Falls (Purely because it's nearby) -Hollywood Stunt Driver (First show is best because the arena faces west, so the afternoon shows cop more sun) -Then Superman/Green Lantern/Arkham depending on what you feel like. It remains to be seen how popular JL:AI3D will be and how quick the lines will move, so insert that somewhere in there.
  2. For those of you saying it cant be done in 16 months: Whitwater World, Dec 14 2005: http://www.parkz.com.au/photo/AU/Gold_Coast/WhiteWater_World/1,3,848-Dreamworld_Water_Park.html 359 days later, it opened to the public
  3. Looks like it is there to protect the flume riders....its the same thing seen on footpaths around city construction sites. http://goo.gl/maps/8XYlw (Streetview example)
  4. Haha, how the hell did I miss that! Well, credit for the recycling effort I guess!
  5. But what do you mean by "it's a good bet"...A bet on what? That it will be called "Carpet Python"? OK look, time for a couple of home truths on Parkz from recent times. -No matter how much you like Zoomerang, it wont be going to Luna Park Melbourne. -No matter how much you like Australian animals, the slide is confirmed to be called "Constrictor" and not an Australian species.
  6. ^What do you mean?
  7. Also, Whitewater West needs to fix their site:
  8. Only thing I have in mind is that some of the Whitewater West Raft slides (Like the ones at Aquatica) have smaller circular ones that hold 3 or 4 rather than the 6 Mammoth Falls holds .But that might mean we're getting the Family Constrictor http://www.whitewate...onstrictor.html And: Family Constrictor [*]Typical Height: 52 ft (16 m) [*]Typical Length: 450 ft (137 m) [*]Typical Width: Varies 7-10 ft (2-3 m) [*]Capacity Per Hour: 720 riders [*]Speed: 26 ft/s (8 m/s) [*]Flow Rate: 139 l/s (2200 USgpm) [*]Vehicle: 3 person family raft [*]Typical Height: 43 ft (13 m) [*]Typical Length: 478 ft (146 m) [*]Typical Width: Varies 5-7 ft (1-2 m) [*]Capacity Per Hour: 480 riders [*]Speed: 26 ft/s (8 m/s) [*]Flow Rate: 139 l/s (2200 USgpm) [*]Vehicle: 1 or 2 person inner-tube
  9. See, look what you've gone an done jjuttp.
  10. I think it would suit Jamberoo more since cheesy Australiana type names are kinda their thing. This isn't the case for Wet n Wild though.
  11. Bermuda Miangle??? Poor abbreviations strike again!
  12. ^Rail Chase might have had an awkward shape, so the footprint mightn't have fit a LPM.
  13. capacity capacity capacity capacity capacity capacity capacity capacity ... Also it might force Whitewater World to make a move and build something...lol jk.
  14. We need Bussy or someone else fro WLS back here to give the real deal on how bad of a condition the ride is in. But ugh seriously RWC, give it up, Boomerangs are shocking rides. I'm sure getting a new train can improve the ride experience a bit, but once you factor in the cost of that, and the footings for a relocated coaster (Footings make up approx half the cost of a ride installation) it would be getting close to the cost of an actual good new coaster. Not - - - gonna - - - happen . PS RWC, when did you last ride a Boomerang?
  15. Which could also mean stuff like Prisonbreak Live, which they have had in the past. I'm just gonna wait and see.
  16. Quoting this again because it needs to be seen by everyone.
  17. Except I've done a barrel roll with a lap bar on Green Lantern...It's cool and all, But the first drop for Outlaw Run and that wacky outside banked turn seem significantly more interesting. I get that it's unique for a woodie, but it still the same forces on your body.
  18. To be honest, its everything else about this excites me. The barrel rolls are a cool achievement on a woodie, but they aren't a particularly interesting inversion either,

  20. ^Indeed, with Bermudas demolition, the Justice League Ride, and now this they've been going all out this year. All we need now is a replacement for the Looney Tunes River ride and that would addres most peoples concerns.
  21. In reality, it's an awful attraction. The simulator is terrible (crap movie, poor movement synchronisation), and the actual polar bear exhibit is concrete, made to look like snow....The polar bears at SW have a much nicer home IMO. The arctic base theming in the trafficable areas was about all it had going for it.
  22. ^A "trio of corkscrew turns" indeed!
  23. For those interested, here's a real life version of the standard layout once proposed for the front of SW, again with some theming that looks nice, but doesn' attempt to tell and incoherent story:
  24. Why judge a ride based around its popularity in winter :S And the boats in Mammoth falls can take 6 people, versus 2 on Black hole. Thats why it never gets a queue.
