Whitewater World Video
I had a free pass to WWW today, so I decided to make a video showing off the various attractions in the park, enjoy:

Big 6 Early Entry [Dreamworld]
I think this offer would be aimed at people who don't have automotive club memberships.

What Thrill ride do you want at DW
I thought the flying turns at Knobels was the only one (Hence them making a big deal out of reviving a long lost coaster type) and still wasn't finished yet, so how would have you ridden it?
-
What Thrill ride do you want at DW
I think downunder meant the coaster type (LSM Launch Coaster: Blitz )...not it's theme. It doesn't have to be wild west themed like Maverick.

Could this be our first B&M?
$16,000,000: http://www.parkz.com.au/parks/AU/Gold_Coas...man-Escape.html

Which ride should DW get next in Ocean Parade?
What coaster is DW getting soon?

What Thrill ride do you want at DW
Not at all. Thing is, if you get a wooden coaster from the major manufacturers these days, you're either going to get something very airtime oriented, or something with a twisted layout. Cyclone has neither of these characteristics. I'm not too fussed with what DW hypothetically decides to go with coaster wise, as long as it is good...If a ride is good, then the seating position, manufacturer etc doesn't really matter. I guess a Mega Lite would be a good thing to have, or any sort of B&M looper. As for "Thrill Rides", I wouldn't bother expanding those offerings for a little while yet, since there aren't really many other good ones on the market that warrant installation, or are different enough from what is already on the coast. Yup: http://rcdb.com/id584.htm

^Since when is it $100 to play laser tag?

Stage 3 is go go go
Yeah, but remember that WVTP, or any other competitor for that matter has access to the same PD Online system that we do, and if you pay the money to council, you can view the full plans anyway (On applications done through a private certifier). I'd imagine the parks themselves would be better at monitoring each other than we are.

Dreamworlds Direction
Something interesting I noticed, but the laser tag is in the same place as what is planned to be one of the helices on the dark mammoth slide for WWW...I wonder if will they build over the top, or will the mammoth slide end up having a different layout? With T-Bones pic though...it has appeared small in the gallery, and has not turned up on the front page.

Could this be our first B&M?
Ok then, a small (In relative terms) B&M would be something like Hydra at Dorney Park (30m high, 974m long), which was 13 Mil USD to build, or 19 Million AUD...Nowhere near the 30-40 Mil figures you were stating.

Whats Happening To Terror Canyon?
Yeah come on Ash, Jet Streams and Tornado are thrilling surely? I mean, if you look worldwide, arguably the most thrilling slide would be Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach....and the Jet Streams are the closest thing to that.

2006: Jet Streams & Tornado 2007: Surfrider 2008: Kamikaze The last 3 years have been thrilling attractions....

Stunt Driver review
That's one thing I noticed..For those of you who haven't seen it, at the end of the show the car rolls out of the front 'doors' of a building, but they aren't actual doors, just a plastic banner sheet that has doors printed onto it. It's one of those of 'why did they bother' type things. Its pretty obvious to everyone that it just is a plastic sheet, so why even try making it look like a wooden door, especially since it just flaps ovet the car when it rolls out? Why not say, have a red and white striped plastic sheet over the doorway, like one on a fruit shop? I saw the show again, and they have made further changes, I mean, technically , the show is really well done with the stunts pulled off well, but it's not quite flowing enough, and lacks a bit of charm. I'd like to see them do more with the marty character, and introduce a couple of new stunts so they don't have to rely so much on displays of drifting. One final thing (I personally was wondering when it was going to happen) but the HSD hero car and the 4 drivers now in the star parade.

Whats Happening To Terror Canyon?
Reminds me of when the 4 Whitewater flumes went down. The park never actually said anything like 'closed to make way for an exciting new attraction'....they sort of just replaced them without too much fanfare. Personally I hope if they replace it that they go for something different..Blackhole takes the role of your normal raft slide, so the opportunity is there to introduce something not in the WnW lineup. I think some Cannon Bowls or the new Bullet Bowls would be a good choice given it wouldn't be too difficult to essentially build a couple of raft slides snaking down the existing site, with the bowl element part way through.

Whats Happening To Terror Canyon?
The signs have been painted over and taken down for Terror Canyon. I asked at Guest Services a few weeks back, and the ride in its current form is no more.

I'm off to Disneyland Paris in October - what to expect?
All this time they have been barking up the wrong tree. They shouldn't have they bothered replicating successful E-Ticket attractions like Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion, It's a Small World, Space Mountain, Tower of Terror etc. Instead they should have just made the Disney parks one giant Mickey Mouse meet and greet place.

They went one better....there are DW signs hanging from the platform shelter roof.

New Warner Village Campaign
No they cant, because like I said they aren't able to make use of this offer. You aren't allowed to buy the pass unless you are a Queensland resident. The only people that can do what you have described would be holiday makers from within Queensland (Eg Travelling from the far north etc)....however the majority of holiday makers are from interstate.....

New Warner Village Campaign
Remember though, it would pretty much be holiday makers who buy Super Passes, Fun Passes etc, and they aren't able to make use of this offer.

My First NL Coaster
You actually need to adjust nodes yourself to get the coaster smooth, and add more nodes if necessary. Here are a few things to work on to get you started: Make sure different sections of track dont pass too close to each other, or the train will hit: One part that was way too sharp was the curve at the end. This was my idea for fixing it...by turning it into an inversion! So going number by number: 1) What we started from. 2) I added an extra node at the bottom using the split segment tool (Segment>Split Up) 3)I moved the node outwards to create a wider, smoother curve. I used the control nodes on the other node, moving them outwards to make that bit of track smoother too. 4 & 5) On the node at the very top of this new inversion, I adjusted the banking angle to make the track upside down (180 degrees) 6) So now we have a dive loop. The track heads in, does a 180 degree twist, before plunging to the ground and out the bottom of the half loop. 7) This is what happens if I try to use the smooth tool on this bit of track, in this case it has actually made things worse! The smooth tool is great if you want to make a curve a more continuous radius, but with many parts of a coaster, this is not what you want. In this case, the half loop needs to be tight at the top, but wider at the bottom,. 8) I added a node halfway through the twist using the split segment tool. I then moved it to the right, fiddled with the banking, so now the twist into the half loop is smooth and flowing. 9) The brakes and station area is a bit messy, these sections of track should always be straight . Use the make straight tool to do this (Edit>Make Straight) 10) Here is what I think would be a better solution. The station and block brake are right in front of each other in a straight line. The main brake is before it, and is on a slight downward angle. This means the brake run doesn't need friction wheels. Instead the train can just coast down using gravity. A small piece of curved normal track links the main brake to the block brake and station. You may notice the way I have arranged it is pretty much the way Superman is arranged. I also had a go at the curved drop at the other end of the ride: 1) First I selected the whole ride, and moved it down....it was too close to the edge of the building area, so there wasn't enough space to make a smoothly curved drop. 2) First I used the control nodes to make the apex of the hill a bit smoother 3) I then deleted the node in the middle of the drop.... 4) So now we have one big segment forming the whole drop....notice the top of the drop is tighter, but as you go around it loosens out, this is because the the train is slower at the top, hence the curve can be tighter. 5) I split the segment halfway, and made the banking 50 degrees, this looked about right. 6) Halfway between the middle node and bottom node, I made another split. I then made the banking on this newly created node 35 degrees. The node on the bottom I made 20 degrees so the drop would flow smoothly into the upward bit of track after. 7) I made another split between the top node, and the halfway one. For this new node i made the banking 70 degrees, so riders would twist into the drop in an exciting, but smooth way. 8) The end result 9) What we started with. Those are just a few things....naturally the rest of the ride can be improved, the hills for starters. Another good thing to do is to open the coasters that came with the game, and see how they did things. Hope this helped.

New Water Slide Types
Proslide have recently redone their website, and one of their projects is a pair of slides for Wild Wadi: So basically, you have a pair of slides, with a drop to get the speed up right from the start, going in and out of the dark, with one side having 3 tantrum tornadoes in a row, and the other having two mini behemoth bowls in row. Is that not one of the coolest ideas for a water park attraction out there? I'll order one for WnW thanks.

Stage 3 is go go go
The attractions will be: -A Tantrum Slide: http://www.proslide.com/rides_03.php -A Dark Mammoth Slide: http://www.proslide.com/rides_04_b.php -A Lazy River with a wave channel http://www.rapidswaterpark.com/i/t/04-lazyriver1-lg.jpg -A kids area, with an "AP50" Childrens water play structure: http://www.whitewaterwest.com/products.php?product=AquaPlay (Scroll Down) -A Mammoth slide that has open drops, and enclosed u turns. If you want to check out the plans: 1) Go to http://pdonline.goldcoast.qld.gov.au/Maste...spx?page=search 2) Search for Macquarie Leisure Operations 3) Follow through, and click on application in the list entitled "Extensions to Theme Park" 4) Scroll down and open the "Part 3" PDF, this has the plans in it.

Could this be our first B&M?
Err, no because none of the other coasters match this pattern....Why don't the US coasters begin with 1, or the Chinese coasters begin with 86?
