Improved marketing/website
DW have actually been running some pretty good ads recently to go along with the drenched/dry campaign too, the most impressive aspect being the way they flew around the TOT in a perfect circle, and then sped it up. The joint park map they have now (they don't give out individual ones anymore) is stuffed up though...they don't have Temple of Huey and Cyclone intertwined.

Lethal weapon in rain
^Yeah, some people find Lethal Weapon to be too rough and head banging to enjoy, or ride more than once per visit....there is a whole topic devoted to it here: http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/index.php?showtopic=3030 Anyhow, theme park attractions would be expected to run in all sorts of weather conditions. (Remember, rides in places like the UK would be expected to put up with worse conditions than ours) Rides often have a wet weather mode that can be activated, which will do things like increasing brake pressure etc. They'd never operate the ride if it were unsafe to do so. Also JD, just a friendly reminder to use spellcheck, and avoid chatroom abbreviations (don't write 'dunt', 'u' or 'b', write don't , you and be)

Favourite Disneyland/Californian Adventure thrill ride?
Isn't Grizzly River Run supposed to have a couple of back stories that run through it, abouy native Americans or something?

Southern Star Wheel gets too hot
The Perth wheel would be already made, since it is just a temporary wheel that gets moved from city to city.

Favourite Disneyland/Californian Adventure thrill ride?
I never denied it had a story , just not one I could follow ( I have read the wiki article on the ride in the past, and have been up to speed on it since then anyway)..I have only ever ridden it once, and I guess I was just taking it all in.

Favourite Disneyland/Californian Adventure thrill ride?
Fail I thought it was all pretty much set in stone what they were going to do, Though I suppose I'd like to see the 'Cars' test track style ride built earlier than slated.

Favourite Disneyland/Californian Adventure thrill ride?
Bah, if you are going to give an example of a well themed Spaceshot then Batwing isn't it. Doctor Dooms Fearfall is probably the best one out there: http://www.parkz.com.au/photos/US/Orlando/...Dooms-Fearfall/

Favourite Disneyland/Californian Adventure thrill ride?
Indiana Jones was my fave, just a riot from start to finish, and really exceeded my expectations. For the fun of it, I'll do a ranking: 1) Indy 2) TOT (People bag this one out compared to the FL version, but the magic mirror was really cool, and the drop sequence is still awesome) 3) CA Screamin' (A coaster that has it all, with a great soundtrack to boot) 4) Space Mountain (Really cool theming, and again an excellent sound track) 5&6) GRR and Splash (Hard to separate, the actual layouts/elements were both really well done on each ride...Neither had a story that could be followed, but they both looked pretty. 7) Big Thunder (Yes the theming is nice, but the coaster itself is pretty average) 8) Mailboomer (Just some off the shelf ride that should never have been built at DCA in the first place)

Maybe do it last if you end up with some free space at the front. What else?

Dunno, the important thing is that you don't compromise in a way that causes things to have to be squished up or whatever. Perhaps with WB kids, build Roadrunner, and save that as a track. (PS, see http://www.rcdb.com/ig1035.htm?picture=5 and http://www.rcdb.com/ig1035.htm?picture=1 for good overall layout photos of an identical ride) Then build the layout of the river ride, use this image (It is actually a photo of a sign in the preshow room...knew it would come in useful one day) But just save the layout of the ride, don't bother making the building or putting theming inside yet. Then somewhere on the map, all you have to do is just have a play around plopping everything in, placing the flatrides in too, using the google earth image as a guide, but not bothering putting in the paths, queue areas, trees etc. That way you'll have a general idea of how much space it is going to take up, and hence how much space you will have to create by moving everything else. Then all you have to do is then use the saved layouts, and build it all properly with paths etc in the actual place it is in the park. As for main street. Maybe you could use grey coloured paths at the sides, but keep the bitumen in the middle, so it is like how it is in real life, where main street has actual footpaths at the sides. Also, the street lamps should be at the edges, as they arent in the middle of the street in real life. If it was my half done rec you were using, you might as well just use that layout, as it is as close as you'll get to the rides layout. Though if you were wanting to build your own, here are some resources: Photos showing the overall layout: http://www.rcdb.com/ig961.htm?picture=1 http://www.rcdb.com/ig961.htm?picture=9 http://www.rcdb.com/ig964.htm?picture=12 Images showing the layout of the standard SLC (Same layout, just without the helix at the end, so dont forget to add that yourself) http://www.vekoma.com/index.php?option=com...4&Itemid=16 http://www.rcdb.com/ig987.htm?picture=2

I think you might be in a spot of bother...You might have made the map too small, so you will really only be able to build as far as scooby doo...there wont be enough space for WWF, Stunt Driver, Intencity etc. Is there any way you can save Superman and its theming as a ride, and save all of main street as a building, and then just plop them in a new scenario with a bigger map?

^Funny you should mention that...the provision of a shuttle was another one of the conditions of approval for WWWs expansion.

Flight Simulator @ Q1
Yeah, I have driven past it. The one at Darling Harbour was even featured on Getaway. It's not a full motion flight sim like the ones used in real airline training, rather it's like the front end of a passenger aircraft has been cut off and put sideways in the shop, and inside there are screens and a fully accurate mock up of the cockpit.

2009.. My prediction for what's in stall..
Yeah, they totally decided to knock down a huge billboard because of some pesky trading hour sign at the bottom. Never mind the fact the whole image on the billboard is replaced every 12 months or so to reflect the newest attractions.

Unique Underwater Project.
To be honest though, new attractions at theme parks are generally the exact opposite....Designed to have wide appeal and to be able to accommodate large volumes of park guests.....SW gets around 1.3 million visitors per year from memory, so, from my view point they need to be using their limited land resources for things that will keep overall attendance ticking over.

Guys, I'm a bit disappointed about the way this topic has gone. If you have something intelligent to say like mickey, then by all means post, but leave the cheap shots out. Just remember Movie_World, you haven't been a perfect poster by any means... As for my thoughts....I don't see the harm in having a few aquaculture related things in, especially for the fact that SW can use the fish produced....put a floating boardwalk between them and there is an educational little diversion. One thing to keep in mind is that that lake gets used for the water ski show, so it cant go too far down. As for the underwater domes, in some ways I think it wouldn't be that interesting for the average park guest....I guess it wouldn't be much fun just looking at from the surface, with nothing really 'happening'. If guests could actually go down and explore the facility then it would be interesting. Is the quoted $200,000 cost the contribution required by SW, or the total project cost, I'm guessing the former.

Whats happening at dreamworld
Because it would be rude to just barge in when there were other people waiting for tubes ahead of you.

Why is everyone hating dreamworld?
You are missing the point completely. People wouldn't just dislike DW for no reason, after all, everyone here is interested in theme parks so what would people have to gain by avoiding DW for the sake of it? I don't think many people would take that narrow of a view point, yeah, bad food is a thing on the side people might whinge about, but it's not going to make or break a park. I have been to my fair share of theme parks both here and overseas (And plenty of others on this forum have done so too), and over time you tend to develop your own tastes in terms of what makes a good park. I have said this a few times in the past, but if DW go out and build something impressive then I wouldn't hesitate to visit quickly....If it was really impressive then I wouldn't hesitate to get an annual pass and experience it again and again. But at the present time this is DWs main failing for me personally. Who has even suggested this?

Park goers....An overflow car park was one of the conditions set forth for them to go ahead with the WWW expansion.

Unique Underwater Project.
In terms of location, Its tough ...SW is severely limited for space, and have reached a stage where anything new will require the demolition of something already existing. Google earth now has more recent imagery at higher resolution than the one included in your PDF, by the looks of it only about 6 months old since Jet Rescue is just a construction site, so maybe have a look around on that.

Nah, he has since left and is on board with the Airush skydiving simulator in Surfers. Though one thing, Your concept plan has the artificial reef, Greenhouse Garden ect being built where the Jet Rescue coaster is.

:O BIG BROTHER HOUSE IS GONE :(
Mickey got it in one. See: http://www.parkz.com.au/about/FAQ/Communit...idelines.html#5 As the guidelines say, just use a spell check! It takes 10 seconds, but it makes your posts look nicer, makes them easier for other to read, plus it helps keep Parkz at a higher standard. If you are so sick of people bugging you about it, then why not just type properly? Everyone else manages to do it.
