Twister is two intertwined waterslides, intertwinded in a similar way to how rope is done. It pretty fast, and exiting but it was a bit painful as I had a sore chest after riding, and it dizzies you pretty bad. But I was way younger when I rode so maybe that contributed. As for best the best slide, well I havent been back since pre - super 8 aqua racer so I can really only say that terror canyon and river rapids were the best slides. But that was then and nowdays I reckon it would have to be Mammoth falls, It looks cool and its like a thunder river with lots of re-ridability. BTW, dont turn into ASHLEE, make your posts a tad longer. But at least they make sense.

Just tell us, Im bored with this game, if you know info, you might keep people in suspense for a day or so, but not a week, thats just being annoying.

Yeah, too bad B&M dont use their cool zero-g rolls on their standups. Im more concerned that we get a coaster with lots of inversions and intenisty, our only operating sit down looper has 2 inversions. As for themeing, the low to the ground sections are the part where theming matters most, dont give a stuff for the high up sections, just some nice dense plantings are good enough for me.

Looks good, nice and comprehensive photos that give a good feel for the rides. One minor correction in the captions to do with the demon, the vekoma boomerang is not the most common coaster in the world, it is the pinfari MB28, otherwise known as the big apple.

I reckon they could do a fair bit, not neccisarrily all of it in 3 weeks, just the stuff that needs a closure becasue its in the way of operation, I mean, erecting a theme element next to the ride could be done during operation (if it wasnt too close).

I would like one of B&Ms flawless floorless's, or maybe a standup, yeah a standup would be good but i'd rather an Intamin because they use Zero-g rolls. Too bad they already have an SLC, inverters are way better. In terms of layout, make it a 7 inversion, we deserve it. But even if it were only $ or so inversions then I'd still be happy. Hmmm, maybe I should just build a B&M by itself as part of a cafe by the side of a main road and charge $7.50 a pop. Even that would be great.

I bet he doesnt know and is just holding us out till the press release, or maybe he gets some fun out of watching us breaking up C words into 3 sylables.

What about Cy-Clo-Tron or Cra-Zy-Spin . Cmon, just put us out of our misery or give us clues that actually narrow it down well.

It showed a bit of LPS if I remember correctly, so I imagine it will be about Aussie parks. Someone's gotta tell me about it after its been on.

Just to let everyone know, Getaway is having a "Battle of the Theme Parks" story tommorow night. Cant watch it though, Im working and my VCR isnt :mad: Wheeee, 200 posts.

the 3/4 idea is a good one, but the seats would need to be out on those "spokes" (like on the 54 rider model) so more seats would fit in, because if the seats just wrapped around the tower close in the circumfrence would not allow enough seats to fit in. Another GD idea is a wind generator on top, one decent wind generator can power a small town, so therefore it could power most of DW.

Watched the video, still looks pretty good, but the transitions do look quite rough. It sort of has some sim coaster type rides, but there are lots of good realistic rides like the Giga coaster and the inverter. I would get it but my computer wouldn't run it.

How can you really say that the Dee is going up to DW if both parties have denied it?have you seen solid evidence? and if both parties are denying it than why not just accept that its not going up there?

Hey, I know, I know, "Carnage", It doesn't exactly sound oceanic, but with a few busted up buildings and maybe a disaster (ish) theme it could fit in, especially if it were a coastal disaster like a tidal wave or sea storm. And it would sort of match with Cyclone, despite the rides being seperated. But I doubt any of my speculation is right.

Sounds, cool. Anyone who frequents DW got any photos for us? Be cool when the components start getting delivered though. I have no idea what the name will be, I kept getting the word crash come into my head and it quashed my attempts at thinking of a name.

I believe it was Titan at World Expo Park. The same park also had a suspended roller coaster.

With the issue of alchol being sold, I thought you werent allowed to go on rides after drinking. Can someone clear this up?

Yep, I know what is being talked about now, but they are better referred to as guard rails becasue they are more to stop you falling off, not to run your hands along (who'd want a hand 'o' splinters anyway?) thats what confused me. I always wondered how hard it would be to shift a woodie, and wether the effort would be worth it.

This is just another one of my ideas, what about making the aquarium sort of themed, my idea was a marine biologists lab, it could be a walk through a high tech type lab with modern design, lots of tanks of fish, mock up equipment, a completly circular tunnel surrounded by water (like at the Melbourne aquarium) and some good theming. Maybe there could be a plankton of the world in the form of a rank of microscopes people could see them through. it would have nice wide areas to make it high capacticy. There would of course be some sort of show and maybe a simulator could be incorporated as a ride in an exploration sub, with a screen at the front but also at the sides in the form of portholes to give a better experience. The complex would almost be like a mini park with lots to do and it would work a treat on wet weather days.

I know the accident was caused by a hat, but In the paper there was a photo showing a few cars piled up behind it, a result of incorrect blocking.

If they wanted to get to the land behind it, they could just build a bridge/boardwalk over it. The ride should definitley not go, it is a fun attraction with broad appeal and the theming wasnt too bad, i rember being scared that we would go under the waterfall, so the theming did its job. I have not seen it recently so I cant really comment on an upgrade, but did they re-paint the handrails?
