  1. Lol no. Anyhow, I think this discussion is a massive stretch. If you’re one of the people in the online chatter motivated enough to make the long journey to Aus for DC Rivals, you’re going to be doing SW,WnW, MW, DW etc anyway to get all the credits. Yes DC Rivals is king, but Xtreme spinning coasters are rare too, as is the swing launch. Some visitors might have ridden Blue Fire given the attendance Europa Park gets, but all the other clones are in China and Russia, which wouldn’t be as well known. It’s not like a boomerang or SLC “clone” which are easy to find.
  2. The one in New Orleans ended up at SF Fiesta Texas. This is the one from Entertainment City Kuwait.
  3. A potential replacement https://www.interlink-lg.com/used-rides/inverted-coaster/
  4. Yeah, I've thought that the Ekka should go to Boondall. The current site in Bowen Hills has been cut up so much now that there isn't enough space for rides, and the pavillions are depressing because they now just use the undercroft of the multi level car park. I'm not sure if we'll ever see a shift away from the CBD focus Brisbane has for a little while yet. Sydney at least has decent satellite CBDs such as North Sydney, Chatswood, Paramatta and to a lesser extent Macquarie Park, Kogarah etc which drives the construction of crosstown lines (And even the Sydney ones only ever did "okay") . At best, Brisbane has the likes of Garden City, Chermside etc, which are basically Westfields with a couple of low rise office towers, so not yet strong enough to anchor such lines. Not in the league of your Paramattas, and to be honest, not even a Burwood.
  5. I don't reckon they will. The Olympics will likely suck up all the hotel capacity and people won't have time to visit the parks. Will be Commonwealth Games situation 2.0
  6. What will open first? Sledgehammer or SX360?
  7. Boomerang only sounds bland because enthusiasts know the term well and we're all sick of Boomerangs. For normies, it's a great description of the ride that simultaneously appeals to Aussie sensibilities.
  8. Where does it say that?
  9. Too late for a 2nd tower now IMO, and it doesn't get busy enough to warrant it.
  10. I wonder why they were asking so much. The owners have clearly got no interest in them, they're just gathering dust in a container. Now they likely will never be sold, but they could have made a grand off it if they wanted to.
  11. I suppose there are a few AWL slides at local pools that operate 11-4 weekends/school holidays only, but few that see 365 day usage.
  12. It was in the video description when Mack first announced it on their channel. Note the spinning seats are an earthy brown and green rather than the silver/blue/red as per the rest of the Blue Fire train n
  13. The spinning seat was the one earmarked for DW, it was tested out of hours with Mack and EP Staff and will be disconnected and sent off to DW.
  14. So does anyone else reckon Surf Hill will get axed too? Super 8 reached the end of its life and was replaced with new fibreglass about 3 years ago, and Surf Hill isn't too much older... I think it'll be a good slide all things said, H2Go at Raging Waters has barely any open air section , this one at least has a couple of good dips and looks to be one of the worlds tallest racing slides.
  15. What an obnoxious watermark AlexB! What were you thinking at the time!
  16. Im not so sure, I dont think Boomerang lives up to Geronimo, nor does a kiddy ferris wheel live up to Tumble Bug etc
  17. What 2nd Gates have Palace/Parques built at their other properties?
  18. It was really only the twin tube slide tower (I refuse to call them Tower 1, Tower 2 etc 🤢 )that had that issue, but that has since been rectified with additional stairs. The Proslide Towers each had one stair per ride and a separate one for fast track, the Racer/360Rush tower only had the two rides so never a real issue, though i thought it was silly splitting the 360 rush slides on each side because that introduced crowd crossover. The ugly colour scheme of the racer was inspired by NSW surf club cap colours. The park had the wrong concept from the ground up, it was heavily inspired by Sydney beach culture, specifically places like Manly, so the park was modelled LITERALLY off that, from things like the Norfolk pines, to the pavers and sandstone walls, to calling the dining area “The Corso” https://www.google.com/maps/@-33.7943181,151.2874465,2a,60y,359.41h,90.96t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1suAFMLGcypbDmLfcH_TxFOg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 In the end, surprisingly enough, modelling yourself after council open spaces means you too end up feeling like a council park. The park didn’t have enough landscaping…Large expanses of lawns and bark chips so windswept and hot. I think it was overly spread out. Walking 400m from the twin raft slide tower to the T5 tower sucked…No shortcuts etc. Single day tickets were too expensive, ostensibly to get people to buy passes, so you got this weird mismatch. Too expensive for a one day visit, but too far out of the way to make good use of the annual pass. One of the biggest issues was a lack of things for families, and that is a huge sin when it comes to a waterpark IMO. They had some good kids slides, but then the rest of it was a fairly bland splashpad....needed more wading pools, more shade over the splash pad, and of course the main thing, no play structure!
  19. Compare the design of the tower with the bracing at the base, the method for hanging the seat, the "hamburger" thing that forms the central hub etc. Points to SBF Visa. Could well be a taller version. The trident and the height above water wouldn't be enough to make the 32m model reach 42m As per the description.... (Towering in the heart of The New Atlantis precinct, defy gravity as you soar and spin freely 42 metres above the realm of the utopian destination)
  20. $10,000? Seller is having a laugh.
  21. SBF Visa by the look of the renderings. @HussRainbow87 the prospect of a genuine 80m star flyer sounds good. Do you think we will continue to see more of these smaller pop up "State Fair" type carnivals happening this year too? Obviously they were borne out of Covid causing the capital city shows to be cancelled. But to be honest, I think we should have more of these free admission carnivals happening everywhere (As you see in Germany and the Netherlands). Seems a waste to have large rides that only get used like 4-5 times per year at the main captial city shows.
  22. I guess because it's a much simpler ride so would start later?
  23. The one I'm most interested in is Big Dipper because of the uniqueness of it....I've got no idea what a single rail coaster is going to feel like and the RMC ones look wild at least. I think Steel Taipan will end up being the best. Leviathan will be good but I'm worried about the roughness complaints Mine Blower had as soon as it opened.
