  1. No, its a stupid idea. Theme parks should have a wide variety of themes to appeal to everyone, or else you'd have like ten coasters with variations of the name Bush Beast. And if you're going for the nostalgia angle, visitors would be pissed to arrive and discover Demon is now a kiddy coaster shuttle without loops.
  2. Ah my mistake I thought the launch coaster going in at Energylandia was a Bermuda Blitz. If the idea is to provide different experiences, why not put some coasters in the mix that aren't sit downs? Or name one of the wooden coasters not bush beast?
  3. Why are there two bush beasts? And why two LSM launched loopers?
  4. This contest is over, give that man the $10,000.
  5. I think if the other Roger Rabbit rides had been more successful there's no doubt there would have been more of them.
  6. So Taron with Dinosaurs? I'm in.
  7. Looks like the slides will include: A red orbiter https://www.whitewaterwest.com/en/products/water-slides/icons/orbiter/ Manta with Constrictor elements https://www.whitewaterwest.com/en/products/water-slides/icons/manta/ Mat Blaster https://www.whitewaterwest.com/en/products/water-slides/competition/mat-blaster/ A couple of body slides and the play structure too. Looks good, but when you get down to it, it's about the same size as Gumbuyas water park in the first stage, surf pool excluded.
  8. IDK, this is just a boneless version of the system they used on Escape from Gringotts, and Intamin have been doing spinners since 1995.
  9. I feel too old for a place like that, but at the same time I really want to experience those old school water slides.
  10. Yeah agreed, despite having less attractions, the whimsy of a giant mountain and the longer slides made it better IMO. The current one is a bit soulless.
  11. It doesn't look like the Mirrabooka body slides are identically mirrored, different number of turns The Hillarys slides are Australian Waterslides and Leisure.
  12. When I was there sidecars were available but it appears they are limited to guests below 135cm. Single rider was presumably closed to allow for social distancing.
  13. Only the horizontal loop version, which funnily enough you can already find at the Cockburn ARC
  14. Though I'd probably leave that toilet available for people with mobility issues who might urgently need it.
  15. I always thought for every ice cream parlour ever its like: -cup or wafer cone is standard, -waffle cone is extra -dipped fancy cone is a bit more on top of that. That said I always get cup, you don't want the intensity of nice ice cream weakened by a bland bit of waffle cone.
  16. Dirty Harry Bar toilets are the MW equivalent.
  17. I wonder if this was a manufacturer driven change on certain models, because a few of them, like the one at Tripsdrill and the one at Legoland Japan were stupidly difficult to get spinning and stay spinning.
  18. It's Gas. Spin around and have a look at the signs either side of the road. https://www.google.com/maps/@-31.6543134,115.9567202,3a,15y,1.66h,81.52t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sRumQf4oDYS7HIPS_DvfBmA!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 The saucers/saws on these slides literally do nothing other than look interesting. They're about as useful as the top half of a Tornado. That said, they don't use much additional fibreglass according to a Proslide rep I've spoken to, since all you are doing is "unrolling" the top of what would otherwise be an enclosed slide.
  19. A bootleg Kamikaze rather. That slide also has Polins knock off of the Proslide flying saucer, though theirs is a saw shape. See the plans in the pdf below. DA360-20-Plans.pdf I dont understand why they dont have the space for the expansion slides to one side so you can sort the raft sliders and the mat sliders by the two staircases, like this:
  20. Possibly due to the fact it's a weekday. I'm confused....Hasn't Giant Drop had a sign since it opened in 1998? This pic is from TPRs visit 9 years ago: https://www.themeparkreview.com/parks/photo.php?pageid=356&linkid=10144&pageno=2
  21. What I’m saying is that in terms of the types of attractions on offer, things are pretty much the same between the new and the old one (Having visited both) Obviously the new one has new ride equipment (apart from the old carousel) and the slides have a different layout. The old Magic Mountain was never a “theme park”, it had: 4x Slides (All body slides) Sky Cycle Carousel Bumper Boats Arcade Games Mini Golf The Beachouse has 3x Slides (1 raft, 1 body side, 1 turbo tunnel) Mini Train Bumper Cars Bumper Boats Arcade Games Mini Golf Ferris Wheel Indoor Playground
  22. Doesn't it basically have the same attraction lineup as the old Magic Mountain, with the one difference being it has dodgem cars and the ferris wheel in lieu of the sky cycles?
  23. This is my favourite part: Is this a giant lifeguard chair?
