  1. ^People also call it the Green Hornet from time to time.
  2. Didn't stop Liseberg, SFMM, CP.... I think Kings Domnion wins with having 3 launched coasters, plus the defunct Hypersonic XLC.
  3. They should build an Alpine coaster up the hillside.
  4. Or why not get a 4th themed area started?
  5. I don't know why you'd do a horror themed coaster at AW though anyway? A park of that size probably should be working to get a diversity of themes going....Abyss/Rampage/Black Widow are probably enough in terms of dark and spooky rides for now, and there are other ideas out there.
  6. Movie Park Germany are reportedly getting a Star Trek themed Mack launcher with a semi shuttle layout. What makes this one interesting is that it sits in the same relative position in the park as Superman Escape does here, complete with a turn cut through the building. Check out Movie Park on google maps and you can see how many similarities there are. Both were built at a time when Warner Bros had an ownership stake in both parks. https://goo.gl/maps/gsDC8i9LmDA2
  7. When you get up in the middle of the night for something and first turn the light on.
  8. You got #1 wrong
  9. Hey Guys, Just another friendly reminder about ensuring the photos submitted to the galleries are your best....I'll let you guys figure out why we had to knock these ones back
  10. Re the idea of a coaster on the island, it may be difficult for a few reasons. -Environmental overlays on the site, habitat destruction etc. -Difficulty in getting piling rigs and other construction equipment onto the site -Proximity of the ride to the wildlife area. I'm sure the island conjures up images of a coaster darting through the trees, but the challenge I think would be trying to gain access to the site without knocking a large number of said trees down.
  11. It's certainly got its uses. In an Architectural setting you can do 360 renderings and show them to decision makers who can get a real sense of being inside what you are proposing.
  12. Consider the shape of the seat gondola and the floor. Both are a shallow V shape that nest into each other to allow guests to board comfortably without the use of a stepladder. So the gondola is a "straight" object , but moves in an arc, so the arc the end seats follow is offset to the ones in the middle. The net effect is a bit like the way the back end of a truck or bus "swings out" when making a tight turn, and can strike cars/cyclists who ignore the "Do not overtake turning vehicle" signs. Basically as the ride begins to swing the end seats would strike the platform and the middle ones would get dangerously close.
  13. Yes, it looks like the new harness style first seen on Falcons Fury:
  14. Northbound eh? So maybe MW is producing sulfur hexaflouride transformers and shipping them to the port of Brisbane? Also:
  15. A killer whale exhibit?
  16. Re read the screenshot It says "was he doing handstands" Not "he was doing handstands".
  17. There was this VR coaster done about 10 years ago: http://rcdb.com/1901.htm I'd say Alton probably have it closest in terms of integrating it properly, and are probably at a bit of an advantage because the ride has dual stations (Which act as a bit of a buffer to slow loading because trains don't have to stack) I'm honestly most surprised that more parks didn't trial it as an upcharge. But SF have really gone all out, and I think its a case of someone from Samsung realizing they can expose a lot of people to the tech.
  18. Sort of, but a far more advanced ride system. It has the mixture of screens and real life sets, but the benches you ride on are mounted on the end of a robotic arm, (Google robocoaster to see the whole device) but the base of the robotic arm is on a carriage that runs along a track through the building. So as you move along your seat is being twisted, turned and flipped around (you don't go upside down, but there is one bit where you are tilted right up onto your back, with the theming above you) On YouTube look up "harry potter breakdown behind the scenes" to see how it all works. Amazing ride
  19. Is there no single rider on forbidden journey? The Orlando one did.
  20. Blue Fall in Japan still has the fake out drop on some of its tracks
  21. The Mega Lite knockoff they built in France seems to get pretty positive reviews.
  22. Plot twist: The layout you overlaid is not the beast. The beast is this one: https://goo.gl/maps/zNxdANZ6B6o
  23. ^It makes about as much sense as complaining that Bugs Bunny is not a real rabbit.
