  1. Richard is the site owner, not me. I'm just curious as to why you used the Parkz name without asking anyway?
  2. The trims catch a bit more on the second brake run, but they've been doing that for quite a while. As a result it meant the audio was finishing halfway through the final turn rather than on the brake run for a little while, but recently they seem to have made the audio start later so it finishes on time.
  3. Quick question, but you got permission to use the name Parkz right?
  4. Well, Iron Rattler has seatbelts now, and thats about it as far as I know.
  5. Yeah! I mean if they are saving a couple of hundred thousand per year in running costs, it means in a decade time they'll have saved enough money for a Wacky Worm coaster or something.
  6. There's an interesting debate over on the FB page about the importance of the location of a new Wonderland...Whilst being by a rail line or something will be useful, I reckon the fundamental reason the original WL failed was just because it wasn't an attractive proposition for visitors. Obviously, one big factor contributing to WLs downfall is that they never built new rides, and in fact shut some down and made the park smaller. This acted as a disincentive to repeat visits. But overall, if the base offering were any good the park would have remained popular....Except it wasn't popular. Despite the emotional attachment people had to the place and how much people go on about how it was "the best place ever" (See the WL History FB page), objectively, the park wasn't that great.... -Only had two roller coasters, and no kids coasters (Because they closed the only one suitable for families....a nice way to alienate a big chunk of the market) -Similarly, the closure of Hannah Babera land made the park less attractive for families too. The Beach Water park also served families with kids poorly too...A number of huge freefall slides for thrillseekers and a long slide in the dark, but basically only some boring shallow pools to entertain everyone else -The coasters themselves were fairly unexceptional too...Bush Beast was rough and had no airtime, Demon was rough, short, run of the mill Boomerang clone. -Beyond that, I'd argue it was really only Snowy River Rampage, Space Probe and Bountys Revenge that were really any good. -So at best, the park had 5 attractions worth going for, and even then they were still pretty average. -Overreliance on "spin n spew" rides to make up the rest of the lineup....which is exactly what Luna Park had, so hardly a point of difference. So my final bit of constructive feedback.....If the vision for a new Wonderland is a "fairground" style park with expanses of concrete, and old fashioned rides like ferris wheels and sideshow games and swinging chair rides like what is shown in the renders; Then I don't think the park will really be that captivating and appealing in the 21st century...I'd urge you to do some background research on the rides on offer, and the look and feel of the best theme parks out there....Here are a few pics that capture what i mean:
  7. You could probably squeeze in one night ride and do some mazes, but you won't be able to dillydally around for the rest of the night. Is there any way you can convince your group of friends to head down to MW in the morning and stay all day?
  8. ^Will you be going to Movie World in the daytime? I'd recommend just riding rides in the daytime, and sticking to the scare attractions/mazes at night during the actual event. There isn't enough time to do rides and mazes in one night I've found.
  9. I think they've actually gone with the opposite to your suggestion for the master plan and have chosen more multi person rides, because they have better capacity and hence move the lines faster on busy days.
  10. Heide Park are doing a 15 mil EUR wing coaster with some sort of Transylvanian theme...Looks pretty nice, has the trademark diving first drop, but a lot of nice sweeping turns too, and a unique "Inclined Bretzel Knot". http://www.coasterfriends.de/forum/attachments/deutschland-news/224141d1377798459-2014-neuheit-b-m-wing-coaster-heide-park-p8290238.jpg Layout can be seen here: http://www.heide-park-forum.de/MGalleryItem.php?id=3477
  11. ^That was my thought too...It's a pretty standard waterside actually so I guess that is a point of difference. Video is here 6:36 is when they talk about WnWSyd.
  12. Fixed. The Whitewater Abyss looks different, it has a triangular shaped funnel, and the framework on the outside is trusses rather than a spaceframe. Appears not. It'll just be a collection of proslide 'kidz" slides such as a kids tantrum, and a few body slides, rather than being arranged into a play structure. The green and blue ones are going to be Proslide Mammoth 5 passenger family raft slides (Like Taipan at Jamberoo) rather than inner tube slides...TPR had an interview with Proslide at IAPPA and this was confirmed. It'll be a standard constrictor rather than a family constrictor. Also in that complex is a run of the mill enclosed inner tube slide (The navy blue coloured one)
  13. But the splashdown channel in the building was built months ago: http://www.parkz.com.au/update/2013/06/11/314-Sea_World_June_2013.html It's just that...there's no "troughs with water on both sides", except on the dip under the shipping container bridge and the airtime hill.
  14. ^By the way, that 2nd hand one people were talking about coming here wound up at Skyline Park in Germany.
  15. After going between the waterfalls it still splashes down into an actual trough. Look at the water coaster at Djurs Sommerland. Reanimated, pumps get used, watch a pov of other water coasters where they have flume sections before the first lift....Obviously no starting momentum in that case.
  16. Normally when people think of 'testing', they imagine it meaning when the cars are actually freely rolling through the course.
  17. You get the stomach dropping feeling from rides with airtime, weightlessness or drops. Even vikings revenge at Sea World produces a bit of stomach dropping on the drop. You get the stomach churning feeling from rides that spin....general nausea. Just how I imagine it, anyway.
  18. Reread the banner.
  19. +1...Heaps of water rides have a bridge where there are perspex windows over the splashdown....Dunno why the fact even needs acknowledging? (1:08 in the vid)
  20. Why are you saying 800,000 when the quote clearly says 400,000?
  21. Just a reminder guys, if you are going to make random one word posts such as "cool", or "thanks" or "OK", they'll just be deleted. They just aren't interesting enough for other people to read....Use the post like button as a substitute.
  22. Sorry, can you speak English please? Yes, because the photo is not directly overhead, so it looks off due to the slide sloping downwards. This pic explains what is happening:
  23. It appears the raft slide near the bowling alley is the reverse colours of the Tornado wave...In other words 2/3 dark blue, 1/3 light blue. The latest nearmap images.... Whole park: Kids area pieces, including what appears to be a ring for a kids tantrum. Bits for the two family raft slides and bowling alley. Whitewater West complex: Tornado, Tantrum, Tornado Wave: Racing Slide/Aqualoops Bowling Alley
  24. Are you planning on visting SFMM to ride the 18 roller coasters there?
