  1. Where is your god now?
  2. Exclusive images guys! Turns out the park will have a 3:30 pm parade like Movie World:
  3. You do get vibration feedback but I think you must have ridden with a partly faulty gun.
  4. Bingo. It's already open now, even during normal daytime operation.
  5. ^ +1. Had an iPhone and it did well, but got an S3 when my iPhone fell apart to an unusable point, and I've found the S3 a fair bit superior.
  6. Yeah but Android represents the majority market share in Australia. Out of interest, is there anything the app can do that couldn't be achieved by just having a solid mobile site, viewable on all platforms? All the time it seems "apps" are just glorified websites.
  7. Still nothing on the PD Online system on the Fraser Coast council site...will do some digging. Strop would it be on the North or South side of Boat Harbour Drive? http://goo.gl/maps/QIQBc Also, LOL at Hervey Bay getting a water park before Adventure Waters got off the ground.
  8. With Myki that figure isn't just the capital cost, but includes the running costs of the system for a decade too (Which is unavoidable no matter how you cut it....) The 1 Bil plus figure was always a headline type one..But Victoria still paid too much for the system though.
  9. In photo editing software, effects such as blurs, watercolour strokes, texture overlays etc are called "filters".
  10. Why is there a soft blur filter on the photos?
  11. ING are the owners of that one. Not Government at all.
  12. But I cant think of a single example of a Government funded park that has done well in the long term. HKDL is still losing money as far as I know. How much of a revenue stream...Our parks make money, but not that much overall in the end. I mean Ardent makes $20-$30 million per year. Roughly equivalent to what the speed camera at Loganholme on the M1 pulls in annually....And the camera didn't cost a billion dollars to build, nor subject to the whims of the economy. I mean WnW Sydney has gotten off the ground without additional funding as far as I know, and looks set to be an excellent product, and that's the way it should be. I just see theme parks as too trivial for Governments to be getting involved with...Stick to schools, hospitals, road/rail, emergency services etc please.
  13. As much as Iove theme parks, I'd object to Governments paying for anything beyond a road/rail upgrade near the park.
  14. There is the one ticket booth still standing at the old entrance though.
  15. Has there always been wind effects in the Flash's scene? Also, the final scene doesn't look so bland, they've covered the walls with concert posters.
  16. Re making the look different...I was thinking just have coloured leds in each car that could change colour depending on the intensity setting of that car.
  17. I'd imagine all the vehicles can spin at full tilt, but some just wont on each cycle due to programming. Personally, I'd have it so the operators can determine on a cycle by cycle basis how many gondolas will be running the insane cycle, with appropriate loading procedures and ride controls to achieve this.
  18. ^Good point, that said from videos of the ride it seems to be able to run pretty unbalanced (Arms in random directions) so I'd hope they don't go for a straight 50-50 split if one side turns out to be more popular.
  19. Actually, opinions can be wrong, if the basis for the opinion is incorrect. I did offer my own input...Saying that: the eyes look different, the nose looks different, the colours are different, so how is it possible for it to be the wolf character in anyway? Being the "closest thing" still counts for nothing, because in attractions with branded characters, they'll work to a 100% resemblance or else how would people/kids recognise the character. <Bangs head against wall> But why even pursue the line of thought for more than 2 seconds??? I mean, Maggie Simpson and Lisa Simpson both have yellow skin, big round white eyes and yellow spiky hair. Maggie is the closest thing to looking like Lisa, but you'd still never go and point out that one is the other right? ____ I'm interested to know how this two queue arrangement will work? Will cycles alternate with full loads of gentle or insane? Half and half seats for each cycle type? Or the best option...dynamically allocating to ensure both options have the same queue time (Eg if 3/4 of guests want to ride insane, they get 3/4 of the seats).
  20. there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there there Anyway....I thought someone said they were the wolves? :P/>
  21. I think Night Water World is pretty infrequent though right?
  22. Nobody, they could easily be some other bit of fibreglass stuff in the land, eg a statue at a ride entrance, a centerpiece for the ride etc etc.
  23. Nah its a Dragon, just designed to be worn over the head for a change.
