  1. I'm actually really fecking confused, since it's ripped straight off parkz content: The site design is reportedly by "Transposed Media", which is a fitting name. Anyway, Jaeger Lindsell (Jaggy for you R-C/TT veterans) owns the domain, so he can shove his cunny against the glass and take a photo for all I care.
  2. The past tense of spread is spread....same word, a bit like how the plural of sheep is sheep. I think the point is VRTP have done more in the past year, and the things they have done tended to be more substantial, real attractions that are here to stay rather than short term events (Though WVTP have done some pretty cool stuff in that regard already, with Justice League and Fright Nights) ....Compare the single low capacity water slide attached to an existing tower put in at WWW, with the four (that actually loop) WnW did, plus the flow rider, and you can begin to see how the approach to new attractions differs between the companies. Castaway bay has already been a massive win for SW, both in terms of the fun value of the attractions, and the quality of the theming, which is the best we've seen in many years. Don't forget that the penguin exhibit is still to come. I mean, I definitely give DW credit for doing TOT2 (Well, the idea was nice, and the pod, station and tunnel are cool, but the execution of the queue theming could've been better)....Still not quite that new ride we've been wanting though.
  3. ^There were perhaps 6-8 on each side of the road so unless they were planning on putting in 8 signs in a row ...And only a meter high? That's huge for a concrete footing. As for Illuminate being affected, well, the underside of the roof could always act as a projection surface.
  4. It's kind of at a halfway point, not many actual stores, but heaps of delis sell it, and you could get it at the uni refec. Still, It's more unique than the streets ice cream they used to sell, and if they have those rare flavours like Chunky Monkey and Steven Colberts Americone Dream then it will be worthwhile. Speaking of the original theme, The lollipop sign out the front of the parlour had been stripped back, and you could see the original "Music Man Ice Cream Parlour" sign, wish I had a camera with me!
  5. ^Nah it was just closed. It was only a very brief visit on my part. Basically I was driving past and stopped in to see if I could get a quick ride on TOT2...Saw that the queue was pretty much to the start of that first "Toxic Waste" zone with the arches and quickly gave up on the idea and left.
  6. I noticed a pair of them, and joked to myself that they were coaster supports...Then I noticed they were in matching positions either side of the road.
  7. It appears to be a synthetic ice one....Its an "0" shape in order to fit around the existing fountain there and It basically takes up the full area of the right hand "turf island" in the plaza. In other news, the ice cream parlour has been repainted blue and is being turned into a Ben and Jerrys (!) Which would make it the 2nd full store in Australia after the original one at Bondi Beach. Hope they have Cookie Dough flavour! There's also a small shop of some description being built next to the Dance Heads store....Previously it was just a gap with a blank wall from the back of the HSD grandstand being there., Gotham City Cafe is undergoing renovations...The main visible change is the steel beams that comprised much of the original look have been painted an earthy brown color (So more like raw steel) but the hoardings prevent seeing much else. And a few of the main street buildings are covered in Christmas lights, and the roof has literally tens of thousands draped from it. There you go then.....Could call it a Parkz update without any photos
  8. Either side of the branch of Main Street leading towards the Claw some circular concrete footings with bolts set into them, roughly a meter high have popped up either side of the road. My first impression is that they are going to do some sort of MW/Universal style roof over that bit.
  9. ^A green disc with a compass on it.
  10. I think what he was getting at is that people tend not to like "I know something you don't know and I'm not telling" type attitude.
  11. If they are falling apart/electrocuting people, they clearly don't.....
  12. So clearly the new B&M is going to pass over the Oakey Creek site.
  13. Another one:
  14. Lol, too much Apple influence.
  15. Thought this was a topic worth starting, but B&M are doing some really good new projects this year that seem a world apart from some of the conservative designs they have done in recent years. At World Joyland in China they're building Starry Night Ripper which is one of their flying coasters, but with an absolutely mental layout, including a 540 degree zero g roll (so it does a full twist on the incline, then a half twist at the top, and on the decline your on your back. Plus its got an inside loop, and a double corkscrew. Credit goes to Gutterflower from TPR for finding the pics. At Gardaland in Italy they are buildingX-Raptor, which will have wing rider trains similar to Furius Baco. Will feature a large corkscrew, and a couple of inline twists: See http://www.gardaland.it/index_genetix.php And at Heide Park in Germany they are building Krake (Translation: Octopus) , a compact version of their dive machine with normal width track rather than the wide type normally used on dive machines, and 3*6 (18) rather than 3*10 (30) seater trains. I guess this one is interesting because of the price tag...10 million EUR (with theming), which is around the $14 mil mark. Well within the budgets of one of our parks if they wanted to build one (And dive machines are ace, so they should ) It will go in as part of a Pirate themed area (They already built a pirate themed splash battle this year) and will have the theme that a sea monster has destroyed a seaside settlement. The vertical drop will be into the mouth of the beast. See http://www.killerkrake.de/
  16. Have you ever heard of the double rainbow? People seem to get as excited over the double rainbow as they do the Huss Rainbow.
  17. Excuse the catch phrase, but "What's the story"?. ^Dreamworld and its approach summed up in 3 words.
  18. Then again, people buy those stupid bogan, black coloured TOT T-Shirts with the airbrushed skull and metallic style writing, so maybe people will buy anything.
  19. I woudn't so much say the queue has gone backwards...It's more or less the same quality level as it always has been. Different? yeah, Better? no. Some parts of the building still look like they are held together in a questionable manner, and that "Nightclub Foyer" room where the last bit of the queue is had me scratching my head. Serious question, but who would be caught dead wearing a T-Shirt like that?
  20. ^We know...What's your point?
  21. So, has any manufacturer really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?
  22. Dreamworld have a competition to name their baby Tassie Devil. http://www.dreamworld.com.au/Wildlife/Aust...Devil-Comp.aspx Since they recently named their new baby tiger "Pi" I'm thinking a good name for the Tassie Devil would be e, theta, or possibly even φ .
  23. ^Cool story bro.
