Seaworld and Wet n Wild to have a Dominos outlet
I feel like editing that poll because leaving out Pizza Hut is such a glaring omission when you're talking about the big franchise type pizza chains....Cadboy, what were you thinking? Nah, I won't because it would be less fun for Joz

Seaworld and Wet n Wild to have a Dominos outlet
Another related thing, but MW was selling Krispy Kreme at Stars Cafe and the newspaper stand today. I don't see why Dominos would be cheaper. At airports (And even at DW for a period) they have those Eagle Boys express outlets where you get individual pizzas, and they are definitley not at 'high street prices'. Maccas was ditched because Disney were working towards having kids eat healthier. The results...Disney parks now only have healthy kids meals, and McDonalds no longer have Disney/Pixar themed Happymeals.

New ParkzTV Videos
I highly recommend everyone watches the Disney's California Adventure video....One of the most emotive theme park videos out there.

Dick Smith head office moving to Eastern Creek site
Why? It's not as if consumers behave any differently between the cities. I know Sydney's a bit bigger, but I've never understood the logic behind them always having to be first for major new stores coming to Australia, especially when they wind up operating in most capitals anyway. (Haha Adelaide and Perth don't have Aldi yet) I mean, Melbourne might have been desirable because the land was cheaper, or a suitable site was more readily available, or because a Sydney store might have to be scaled up compared to the Melbourne one. A trip report I found about the place if anybody is interested. http://ozsoapbox.com/melbourne/the-shoppin...urne-docklands/ It will be good when it comes to Brisbane (Apparently Logan is where it is going, which makes sense since people from the GC would be shopping there too) I'm kind of dissapointed that both times I have been in the US I never got to experience a massive store like Costco, Walmart etc.

All Time Favourite Ride
So you ended up picking Chessington as the sole park you would visit in the UK?

All Time Favourite Ride
All time favourite ride overall for me is The Amazing Adventures of Spiderman at Islands of Adventure, because it is very well themed, has a solid story line, great special effects, and of course a fantastic grand finale. Though in the coaster stakes, Nemesis at Alton towers is my favourite, really nice theming/landscaping, and relentless speed and intensity from start to finish....Just a great overall package really.

Parc d'Asterix - Paris, France
I've got the major coasters and water rides in for the time being...Add away http://www.parkz.com.au/parks/FR/Plailly/Parc_Asterix/ I must ask though, did you come across the statue of Zeus wearing knickers?

Universal Studios Singapore
Thought I might post a few more of the things going on. The Jurrassic park rapids ride is coming along, and it will feature a vertical lift. Suprisingly, a Pteranadon Flyers type ride is going up. Suprising, because the IOA version has abysmal capacity...Hopefully they have designed this to run more than three, two person cars. There is also a madagascar themed ride going up, and it appears it will work like Bubbleworks at Chessington, with small circular tubs. The Battlestar dueling coaster is largley finished, but its going to have a hulk style uphill launch at 60km/h (Though with LSMs and not tyres) There is also a nice slideshow of pics taken a couple of days ago here.

Parc d'Asterix - Paris, France
Great photos mate! It definitely looks like quite a nicely themed park, and by the sounds of it, fairly accessible. If I ever found myself in Paris I probably would make an effort to head out...Tonnere de Zeus is a ride I have heard many rave reviews about, so its good to hear it lives up to the hype, I'm interested in seeking out more Boblsed coasters too since Avalanche at Blackpool turned out to be much better than I expected. Out of interest, how bad is Goudurix? Thats one ride you tend to hear quite a bit of negativity about (I think it has been voted worst coaster in the world a few times), but I guess if you could ride it twice in a row its not that bad. 7 Oh, and judging by the photo of the rapids, you cant give them crap about capacity... If you are interested, I can establish database entries for you, so you could upload them to the site where more people will see them and they will be seen from the front page.

29/8 Photos
I think 'photo trip report' is the technical term. If you are doing multiple photos in a row, and are on a fast internet connection then it shouldn't be a problem. Once you arrive on the photo uploads page, just run down quickly, drop in your tags, think of a caption and a photo title. Then, browse for your photo (If you are doing several photos of the same ride then I found it easiest to have them all in the same folder, numbered) If you are working with a fast connection then it should only take a few seconds to upload. If you are doing several photos, then things become quicker because the only thing you'll need to between each photo is the caption.....The tags stay unless you decide to delete them. I'd recommend having another go...

Because it sets up disappointment in guests if they can see attractions but not ride them. It also tends to be the case that old attractions are left to rot (No motivation to paint them etc), so the things left lingering around the park turn into eyesores. But it's still clearly a chairlift drive motor (To anybody), it takes a bit of imagination to view it as anything else to what it is. If I was walking around the park, I'd be thinking to myself "Oh, that's where the chairlift used to be", not "Oh, what a cool piece of theming".

Do you know Monte Makaya in Terra Encantada?
Most people on here would know about it, since it was a world record holder at one point (Along with Dragon Kahn at PortAventura)....You'd be surprised, but people interested in theme parks often do know about the ones less visited, partly thanks to websites like www.rcdb.com , which has a full database of every coaster in the world.

Just a heads up, not everyone needs sarcasm or humour pointed out to them with an emoticon. WWW worker managed to do it. ....Surely the last part was a dead giveaway..."Knowing Dreamworld", as in the place now has reputation of building dissapointing upcharges and overhyping stuff, hence him joking a major ride to them would be something stupid like go karts.

B & M Hyper For Carowinds
Definitley quite nice looking...I quite like all those twisty bits, though its funny that they only did 3 camelbacks on such a big ride. It annoys me though, MLT gets hold of the V8 franchise and builds simulators, CF gets hold of Nascar and builds a massive hyper Is it just me, or do the Cedar Fair art studio seem like they are stuck in the 1980s logo wise:

Sea Viper - New Ride
But I've never understood that... the time spent waiting for a kiddy coaster could be better spent re-riding something that is actually good. (I mean when I have been at the Disney parks I have never gotten around to riding their rollerskaters because at the end of the day there are better and less embarrassing things to be doing) I've also never understood why having a large number of 'credits' is big achievement...Woah they've ridden 20 wacky worms , I bet that is something to be proud of And then it is this desire to that leads to people making ridiculous claims to try and bump their count up, such as Corkscrew being a new ride because they decided to do a needed overhaul. Plus it really bugs me when people refer to them as 'credits' instead of coasters (Eg I got all the credits rather than I rode all the coasters)...It's as if they see them as nothing more than a number, and are riding them so they can add one more to an excel spreadsheet, rather than because going on coasters is a fun activity. I think that sums it up nicley

Sea Viper - New Ride
Here I was thinking Parkz was a safe haven from that lame ass obsession with 'credits'.
-
Sea Viper - New Ride
I sort of get what they are saying. The best example I can think of for this style are the trains on Wildfire at Silver Dollar City...you can see how they are just basically seats and a floor, with no fibreglass car body around you.

Stunt show is world class now!
They seem to be gradually injecting more humor into the show. There are some 'easter eggs' to watch out for on the big screen during the preshow. There is a cheesy little gag that is quite funny too, basically Morgan Ross is jabbering on to the crowd, and in the background Marty rolls a tyre across the gap in the backdrop, and then a few seconds later appears in view getting chased by the tyre. MS paint probably explains it better:

Movie World Changes
How would they find out about the offer in the first place? Man, using Whitsys logic against him will never get old

Movie World Changes
You mean this one? Your answer lies in rule #2 of the community guidelines: http://www.parkz.com.au/about/FAQ/Community-Guidelines.html Hope that helps. But just about every special offer on TV just focuses on the main bits of the deal, with fine print saying the special conditions.

Movie World Changes
It's not unfair at all. You're paying $99 for a whole year. If you wanted a year long pass with no blackout dates, then by all means, pay the extra $200 for a myfun mega pass, meanwhile everyone else can enjoy a great deal. Fail: Besides, the terms and conditions are on the website: http://myfun.com.au/QLD-VIP-Pass.htm?WT.mc...motionsShowcase When I went to Universal Studios they had a deal where you would get a free annual pass with a one day admission. Granted, it too had blackout dates, but if its free I couldn't complain.

A few points worth making: -Calling it Claw Jr wont automatically make it suitable for children. -DW already markets the Claw as a big bad thrill ride, so if they went and built a bigger one where does that leave the original? In the publics eyes, it would sort of be viewed as the 'crap' one, and as a result you'd end up having all the crowds gravitating towards the bigger one. They already have a sucessful "Big 6" campaign, and having multiple versions of similar rides would be plain weird. -Back when the Claw was first opened I remember Richo making this post: http://www.parkz.com.au/forums/index.php?s...amp;#entry13031 So obviously DW have already thought about this, and the one they went for was obviously the best choice for them. A large frisbee simply wouldn't get a return on investment. -Wipeout and a Top Spin aren't the same ride, but they are near enough to each other, especially in the eyes of the public. How would you market it? "Oh, its 90% the same ride except both arms move at the same speed" -Having two 'Wipeouts' and two 'Claws' would be a drastic oversupply of flat ride capacity. We all know how on some days at DW Wipeout can go ages without running because it doesn't get enough riders for a minimum load (And even on busy days it has the shortest queue of the thrill rides). Imagine how much worse it would be with two rides to try and fill with people. -Dreamworld already has plenty of flats, and not enough good coasters

Giga Coaster for Kings Dominion
Looks pretty good actually. I agree, one or two more regular airtime hills would've been cool, but it still is a pretty well balanced layout (I like those high speed tranistions)...definitely looks like they are getting bang for their buck ($30 mil AUD equivalent cost). One thing that also caught my eye was the way they have done the lift...Only two big support towers, with a truss holding up the track. I'm not too bothered by the OTSRs to be honest...They speed up loading considerably compared to lap bars, and in any case, negative g's feel like negative gs no matter what is holding you in (Superman being a case point)

Petition
Really? In what way. My only gripes were that the ride area was ugly, and it wasn't quite as smooth as the other B&Ms I've ridden (Which is relative, since it is smoother than the majority of what is out there) Has it degenerated or something?
