  1. Was Ghost Ship filmed a MW? Gee maybe they should tell people how thry turned baked beans into maggots
  2. I hope no one was hurt, In the report it said smoke was going onto the freeway, Flea would probably have been going along there on his way ot DW so maybe he can fill us in.
  3. Well, Im hoping that Wodnerland is re-incarnated, It would be great to see someone with some idea on running a theme park well to revive it. With SRRs channel being re done, well if it were just being demolished then they wouldnt bother doing it up, and with this stuff people are saying about keeping the park in good nick till the demolition, well, why re seal the channel now, after the park has closed? Its not in use so why would thye bother spending maitnence money now? Im confused.
  4. Its kinda hard to explain in words, I have built the ride in NL, but it was one of my earlier designs. Have a look and its quite different.
  5. Yeah, that would be cool, but instead of just making the ride be launch, top hat and brakes, the last section of the ride could be a very twisty high speed track escaping plummenting fireballs, tornados cracks appering in the ground etc, then the brakes could be in the "loading dock" of that space station. And when they get off they would be told via loudspeaker they had made it safely. Now, onto my ride, It is an inverted coaster called 'The Storm'. It would be located in a part of a park named flood valley. The ride would be on a hillside with millions of litres of water gushing down the hillside into a central lake where the roofs of houses are barley visible. The queue area would be on tressle bridges above the water, misters would give the whole ride area that wintry look. The loading sation would be made of stone and timber. The train would depart the station and enter a helix that goes underneath the station, water would rush in a creek below. A short tunnel would lead into the lift up the hillside, thunder noises via loudspeaker and ambient strobes would give a thunderstorm feel up the lift. At the top a fan would create an alminghty gust of wind that would apper to blow the train out of the lift and into a nemesis style firts drop, sequential water jets would fire around the train. the train would gain speed and whip through a corkscrew and into a second drop , before going through a high speed cutback, then there would be a sharp upward incline that leads into an inline twist, the riders are given a breather through a wide u turn, but a dam would open under the track sending a huge torrent of water down the hill. the train would then hurtle down a drop toward water level and up into a loop, with a hugh jet ow water positioned so that there is a near foot collision with it. then a high speed helix would whip riders around before putting them through a cork twist (like on raptor) then a final turn would lead into the brakes. Throughout the ride would be other water effects, and a river rapids ride would make use of the space underneath. providing foot choppers on the rafts.
  6. Did anyone notice the ride named "Snowy River Rampage" The bright coloured slide dont really do much for me, it would be better if they were brown and dark reds, to give it a more rustic look. I love how Coolangatta racer has that spiral tunnel start, way cooler than super 8. I doubt anyone over here would try that, its just to tacky, cheesy and cliche nad it just makes you want to cringe, much like that sky tour thing at centerpoint tower in sydney, only good bit was that simulator.
  7. What? SW's water park has 2 freefall slides, 2 speed slides and 2 tobbogans all of which are thrilling, and DW's water parks only thrill slide is the one tobbogan.
  8. I think at the SW one they should just rip it out and build a single high density tower with stacks of slides coming out, and use the rest of the space for the normal part of the park. It would give them a new attraction to market and it could be themed nicley, for example Ballast water bay (Sea port theme), clownfish habour (reef theme),The Navy Landing (navy theme), Pirates Inlet,(Pirate theme) or Bangalow Beach (Tropica island theme). As for DW, I say just continue the theme, maybe ad a bowl slide, a master blaster and a few other body slides and raft slides and they will have a winner. Of the two parks id Say SW is better for thrills but DW is better for a nice atmosphere.
  9. You right click, but then what thing do you select from the list? Reckon you'd be able to have them up in quicktime too Richo, Its a better format.
  10. Gazza replied to scott's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Well that not me, but Ill Try: 1 - Disney World 2 - The Rest of Disneys Parks 3 - Alton Towers 4 - Islands of Adventure 5 - Cedar Point 6 - Busch Gardens 7 - SF Magic Mountain 8 - Blackpool Pleasure Beach 9 - Europa Park 10 - Tivoli Gardens I have probably forgotten some good parks but thats all I could think of.
  11. Cool, I gotta get to the US, that sounds like fun
  12. Ah ok, I gotta say I love rapids rides, my first ride on one was when I was 4 up at DW. Wetness definitley is my thing, P&BsBLB would be my sorta ride, I love the idea they have of Blutos Boat Wash.
  13. At the end I heard the boat goes down an actual vertical waterfall.
  14. I know this is pulling up an old post but what was Popeye and Blutos Bilge Rat Barges like? Is it as good as its cracked up to be, and what is the waterfall element on it like? Is it better than Grizzly River Run?
  15. Sorry, I thought the rules of no alcohol before rides would be the same as WnW's no Alcohol rules, but then again swimming kinda different to just walking around.
  16. Uh Screammachine, Shaft of Terror was built by Ronald Bussink Professional Rides (Their only coaster) and Anaconda was built by Giovanola, one of Only 2 Giovanola Inverts (The other one being The Euro Star transportable coaster (but strangley, this ride has 4 across seating). Those rides really look cool, that Helix on Anaconda is awesome. I have a mate who comes form SA and he said the park was really good.
  17. What sort of a spiel did you write so they would send it to you. And Rich, I think your'e wrong, Gyro Drops were avaliable when Rainbows End Built Fear Fall but they still picked a giant drop, And I think that they still have a market for smaller parks. Just because a ride hasn't been built for a while doesn't mean it will never be built again. I really doubt they would wast website space and screw customers around by having rides that they dont make anymore listed.
  18. Well its for Nick central so its not, plus it make a mention of it being for dream copters.
  19. But Shockwave at Drayton Manor Park Opened in 1994, 4 years after B&M became their own company. I think they still have the right to make it. Maybe they didnt send ifo because I went through the info request forms instead of just sending a straight e-mail.
  20. If it were out of production then it wouldn't be on the website.
  21. Hey, no fair, I e-mailed intamin requesting plans for their impulse coasters, to no avail. What did you write in you email so they would send it?
  22. Well some of you have already seen some of my names for my coasters: Spinning Coaster - Spinsanity Sit Down Looper - Twisted system Inverted - Fireball Frenzy I know they are not great but anyway... W00t 300 posts and still going strong.
  23. Yeah and DW still has the worlds tallest freefall ride, and I think most members of the GP still think TOT is the worlds tallest coaster. It would be way too hard I think
  24. It didnt hurt my shoulders, but during the ride the restraint kept closing in more putting too much pressure on my chest, why didnt it just stay at the position it was locked in at the start of the ride?
  25. How could Intamin make something so painful?
