  1. Umm, no? We're talking about the coaster, it's entirely relevant to the topic. Quit trying to derail every topic or poll with what you think people should be talking about.
  2. Gawd, night and day. The roll at the start of Takabish is not really too different to the initial roll on Abyss at AW, or even the final roll on GL. Both a bit slow with hangtime, still “fun” though. Meanwhile the one on BF / ST is taken at full speed with a bit of whip and spins very rapidly. (Which reminds me, the corkscrews on ST will be good as well, they have the flick at the top which gives you a bit of a head spin compared to the fairly continuous spiral you would get on Corkscrew/SV) https://www.coastercrazy.com/forums/holiday-park-26-04-09-europa-park-27-28-04-09-t20459.html https://www.reddit.com/r/rollercoasters/comments/74r0t3/coaster_discussion_of_the_day_16_blue_fire_europa/ http://www.incrediblecoasters.com/BlueFirePhotos.html
  3. I think I'll be damn close, there will visitors that prefer ST to DCR or even SE because it "has loops" and a triple launch. Im not sure how many people on here have ridden BF or it's clones but it's a top ride in the world with a really well balanced layout and the final roll is the best thing ever, a true WTF moment you have to experience to understand.
  4. Yes but theming should be a rich tapestry of finishes, not just saying "hurrr it's snake themed so lets put snake skin on EVERYTHING" The rock tunnels don't have snake skin on it. Needs to be balanced between theming related to the snake and theming related to the snakes habitat, IMO. Agree on Rivals, that's what happens when "sleek/modern" is insisted upon. I'm sure we know a few other recent Australian attractions where that was clearly the driver 😏
  5. Lol don't lie. Literally popped down just now in lunch hour to have a look and all the steel work and slide pieces are there but no vertical construction.
  6. Because the path is not the snake. However a path with snake tracks, or a path textured like a typical snake habitat would make sense.
  7. Why does the path having a snake skin make sense thematically?
  8. Something like this
  9. Yeah I find it hard to criticise this. We got renderings and POV at the announcement Regular construction updates. Videos showing how it gets built for a layperson. Docos with 10 min episodes like Efteling do would be cool but tbh I'm not sure if many people other than thoosies watch them. These videos are digestible. Where is all this for Leviathan?
  10. Yeah it would be kind of cool if they had BD 1 2 and 3 lined up a the entrance (With 3 doubling as a test seat)
  11. Awww look at that attention to detail. I thought thoosies loved that sorta thing
  12. ok fine ill be more accurate lol DW, put this in the physics excursion worksheet
  13. Its kind of like this. The train is overlaunched slightly because it starts coasting on the flat and losing speed before it even gets to the overbank. Next launch has to be enough to get it to the top of the spike but since most of the train on the spike is below the overbank level, it would still be slower, i would estimate 70 or 80. Final launch gets it to 105 in the bank of LSMs, would coast and lose speed to 100 before entering the overbank and then the rest of the layout is on spec.
  14. The thing with ST too is that only has 1/3 of the track covered by LSMs compared the original, so the duration of each launch will be shorter, but just as sharp.
  15. Often fasteners are specifically excluded from the contract and the buyer must source ones of the correct spec. (Or the manufacturer might include them as an optional extra cost) The manufacturer is inspecting the ride anyway so there shouldn't be issues of the wrong ones being used. Fun Fact: When you buy a water slide they don't come with supports.
  16. Lol SW Resort isnt inside the theme park but you can still catch the monorail there.
  17. Depends on their choice....Formlue at Drievliet has an exposed base frame. https://www.parkz.com.au/photo/16765-Formule_X/gallery/sort/newest/location/drievliet/offset/23
  18. Yeah I wouldn't mind a free spin. They seem to be popular at the parks they are in. In all honesty they might as well put nothing there. The site is constraint and the queue had to be designed to get a crane through, hence the doors. Would be easier to just leave it as an access road.
  19. I thought DW was getting a larson loop
  20. Ok, so what's the longest anyone has ever waited on a normal day for Buzzsaw in the past 9 years? 1 or 2 cycles, max?
  21. It sort of does to an extent, because yes you can still catch and pass it on, but having a vaccine basically eliminates the consequences of getting it. Of course, unvaccinated elderly people would still be a risk. Countries could well have outbreaks with thousands of people with it, but if nobody is actually getting sick or going to hospital then what's the problem?
  22. Caprio batflyers can fuck off. To date it is the only coaster type I have ever stalled on. My only 0/10 coaster.
  23. I dont agree on that one. The park has plenty of smaller rides, that's mostly what it was getting prior to Sky Voyager right? Ocean parade and Dreamworks are both solid flat ride precincts, so adding another flat ride precinct wont add value or depth to the lineup. At this point I think a water ride is the most urgent, and then say a dark ride, and another coaster.
