  1. It's not a deal breaker since we can also add tags after the fact before approving. But it makes our lives easier if you do a DB submission simultaneously too.
  2. I was re-watching POVs tonight given today is the closure, and I reckon the blue dragon is an objectively good inverted coaster on a standalone basis...Big overbank at the start, a lot of speed through the zero g roll, the cobra roll right up against the castle wall 👌👌
  3. I think about 2000px wide or so tends to be the sweet spot.
  4. Whenever I go the Sunshine Coast I have dinner there, and don't drive home till about 7 or 8.
  5. Parkz now covers Australian Carnival Rides. We have set up a "Park" which will contain the rides: https://www.parkz.com.au/parks/AU/Yatala/Australian_Carnival_Rides/ Ride Entries -All database submissions should go into that one 'park'. Please don't add rides to entries like the one for the Ekka or the Sydney Royal Show. -If you want to contribute, focus your attention on the major flat rides and coasters, rather than every little kiddy spin rocket ride that is about. Photos -As always, we are after high quality photos. That can even be from a decent phone, but adjust the colours/contrast etc as needed so they aren't overexposed, crooked etc...Put those media passes to good use and get your pics published permanently! -Photos can have as many tags for rides and parks as as needed. At the very least there should be the tag of the ride name, and "Australian carnival rides", however you can also add a 3rd tag for the location it was taken in, we have database entries for all the major capital shows. -For example, this photo has three tags: Jurassic Rollercoaster (1), Australian Carnival Rides (2), and Ekka - Royal Queensland Show (3) https://www.parkz.com.au/photo/15269-Jurassic_Rollercoaster/gallery/sort/newest/location/park-272-Australian_Carnival_Rides/offset/0 -The 3rd tag helps, because it means if someone wants to search for rides at the Ekka, they can go to the Ekka database entry: https://www.parkz.com.au/parks/AU/Brisbane/Ekka_-_Royal_Queensland_Show/ -We aren't after photos of other things at shows like food, arena events, cow judging, woodchopping, exhibits etc etc as that is too far beyond the remit of Parkz, but by all means include them in trip reports in the forums.
  6. I get everyone has their favourites, but at the same time I don't really get the notion that unless a coaster is simultaneously pushing all your buttons it's a 'yawn' or it's a 'nothing'.
  7. I love how they just traced the water slide layouts from WnW and chucked them in for DA purposes.
  8. Mate, you would have said the same thing about a Mack Hyper a couple of years ago.
  9. FFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Can't be in two places at once. At least I have the looping coaster at the Adelaide show now.
  10. I don't know how it can be said it has nothing in common with other hypercoasters....It has 5 airtime hills, overbanks.....so that is a fair bit of typical hyper right there. Stuff like non inverting loops occurs on hypers like flying aces too... Re Superman against other accelerators...I put it ahead of storm runner, rita and stealth. Others like TTD, Kingda Ka and Xcellerator are neck and neck but I prefer it over them too.
  11. Looks like a very decent park. Even the Circus bit, whilst a bit tacky, still looks properly built. Shame to hear Anubis is a bit uncomfortable...They seem like Vekoma in the 90s. Im curious how difficult the trip from Efteling to Plopsa is... Did you drive or take public transport? How long did it take?
  12. Crazanity is the worst ride name I have ever heard.
  13. Anyone else reckon its funny that this got lap bars but Abyss didn't. Meh, OTSRs should be a thing of the past on rides (Except where upper body support is needed) I mean, Why add bones to boneless chicken?
  14. Yes, wheel bogies are spring loaded which gives a good trade-off between maintaining kinetic energy and smoothness.
  15. It looks like they say ”Lol”. You can't unsee it.
  16. Woah thats belting through👌
  17. A Hypercoaster. Parks Christian Lobby.
  18. The worst RMC would be Goliath would be Goliath surely? Again, that's harsh because a bad RMC still beats the rest..... it's big, but a tad too short and too "simple". I don't mind Twisted Timbers....If people like mega lites then that will go off too.

  20. Here let me explain:
  21. ^The hexagon is off centre vertically and the font looks a bit like it belongs on Nannas birthday card. I think having the Australian flag makes it all a bit too busy and the faux leather texture I'm not sure what is bringing to the table. If it was a flat monochrome silhouette of a shutter and a better font it would look way more classy and aesthetic. Only thing is making sure it doesn't end up looking like the aperture science logo. +1 the logo should be semi transparent.
  22. Are you getting a new watermark logo soon?
