WWW has a few state-of-the-art waterslides. WnW has loads of average waterslides, well apart from the H20 Zone. I can't really picture myself spending an entire day at WWW just yet, maybe park hop between there and Dreamworld. Some great attractions none the less though!

I wish I could go, I'm taking the day off tomorrow... Might get there on the weekend hopefully. Let us know how it goes, hopefully someone'll get us all some good pics!
-
Just a side note, do they have the on-ride camera working on the Tornado? When my friends and I went, the camera was there, we got off the ride, and they hadn't finished the on-ride photo monitors! Can you still get the pics from the place near the entrance? Have they finished it yet?

I really wish they'd bring the fountains back though. Some of those videos I've seen of people on Top Spins getting a full jet of water in the face are hilarious!

I don't misbehave overly at themeparks, mind you, damn it's fun standing up on MF, especially after dark... I've seen so many people come out of terror canyon without a tube... The next group comes down with three! Dry parks not so much, just the usual everday stuff that you see people doing I guess...

Great, that means even longer waits right? I guess it would be fun to use and you'd feel more isolated but I definitely think that the Cloverleaf Tubes were the better option! Maybe they're just trying to differ from WnW? Any idea what lines will be like this Saturday? I'm thinking of heading up that way on the weekend. EDIT: I thought we were talking about WWW not WnW... Woops!

So are we looking at an open air queue or an enclosed one like SE? Surely they won't just put in a couple of switchbacks and a few things here and there. (Oh and sorry if someone already mentioned this).

It says on the map it's opening on the 26th of December. I wonder if they'll bother with another website to build the hype even more? Mind you, I'd rather they didn't, or at the least make it something decent.

Special Invite to WhiteWater World
Dylaan replied to dreamworld_rulz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thanks, I rang them and they said they're full, so no point buying a pass just to get in, but yeah, you can get in after 3:30 except for peak periods of the year. Why buy an annual pass for WWW when you can get in for the last hour of the day for free! -

I haven't got an annual pass either. Are you saying we can just go out and buy one and they'll let us in to the event? They won't resend the email to all the new MAP holders will they? -
Getaway is on now, and the first thing they showed was WnW. I'm not sure if they're doing WWW as well but for those who miss it, it's not much. They did Mach V, Blackhole & Tornado with Wez'N'Will and showed Buccaneer Bay. Oh, and they were interviewing kids and asking opinions about which ride they liked the most. (I used incorrect grammar and spelling on purpose).

Low Peak periods for themeparks in Gold Coast
Dylaan replied to velo's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Thanks, I rang WnW yesterday out of interest and they told me 5pm on Saturdays. Every other day it's 3pm. -
COW... What an abbreviation! (Yes, I know there's another word but I can't think right now). At first I didn't realise what it stood for...

What happens if you've already brought a pre-paid ticket? Will they let you in or do you just lose your money...? Or do you get a refund or something? Just another thought...

I'm sure I read somewhere that Vekoma's Flying Dutchman now can incorporate a launch... Problem being that they aren't terribly popular and that Vekoma is Vekoma... I'd love to see a decent B&M Flyer. Do B&M do launches are are they just not their thing?

Low Peak periods for themeparks in Gold Coast

Feb is definitely a good month, being around the time when my birthday is! My birthday also happens to fall on a certain day in February, I won't state it here but you can all guess easily... At the start of the year a few of my friends and myself decided on the spur of the moment to drive up to the Coomera area and visit WnW, although it had something to do with the opening of Mach V. We went on a Saturday, it was fairly crowded, and it was holiday time. We stayed for the first half of the Dive-in-Movies. We got about 5 consecutive rides on Mammoth Falls, but unfortunately they closed it, reason being we were the only people riding it I'm guessing... Anyway, definitely go on a Saturday over a Sunday. Can't you get in for a discounted price if you arrive after 1pm or something? Just stay for the movies, hardly any queues! If you can go on a weekday, that might be better, but with school groups etc the end of the year isn't a good time... -
*Fun... Don't worry, I do that all the time, though I can't help correcting people for some odd reason! Yeh, I definitely have to agree with you there! There's nothing more fun than seeing those priceless expressions on your friend's faces, especially when they were acting all tough before they got on. It's almost more fun than the ride itself!
-
So what exactly happens if you fall out of a tube ride like the Mammoth or a bowl? Lots of people I know boast about it happening all the time, all I say is that it's unlikely as it would be a painful experience...
-
Well I can't see that becoming the new slogan but maybe it'll become more popular as time goes on... Maybe it could be part of WnW's H20 Schoolies thingy... Sexylicious Slides... Geez, I dunno... never employ me in the Marketing area... Actually, I think that deserves a spot in my sig... Will do that now!

Construction underway on Movie World's newest ride
Dylaan replied to Richard's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Eh? The latest update on OzCoaster is the 'Aussie to Orlando' one, it's just photos of the flight & hotels etc. -
Damn, I thought that's what we were getting... Oh well...
-
A fair while, depending on how quickly you choose to progress, obviously if you run through each room without stopping it only takes about five minutes. When I went we did it in less that ten because one of us had already been, thus wrecking the experience. If you do it all properly and don't just rush through each room, I'd say the average time is around 30 minutes. It's definately worth it!

My bad, I remembered reading an article on AAL about all those bogus posts so it didn't make complete sense to me... I guess at the time I wasn't thinking much about what I was saying, lots of things on my mind. Sorry mark. Still, like I said before if someone chooses not to deliver something they promised, they probably have their own reasons! We do all of this theme-park business, (Well at least most of us do), in our own spare time. If something comes up, it has to wait. It's not a commitment to the public coaster community, and again I'll say it, why does everyone take it so seriously when someone doesn't stick to their word?
-
The infamous 'Mark' is the owner of that site... (AAL) I can't believe I didn't realise that earlier! Who remembers the 'YourWorld' stunt he tried to pull? Anyway, ATM I'm not liking him, due to the fact he started laying into Tony about the whole site-launch thing and the fact he's 'jealous' I'm part of the ZC Moderation Team.

Damn! I know it definately isn't the best ride at Dreamworld but sure, it was fun, at least some people will agree. What could they put there if they choose not re-open it? Being a wild mouse, it wouldn't take up that much space would it? I can see a nice flat ride fitting in somewhere maybe...
