Perfect for playing Virtual Console games on Ok, let's swap Wii Codes. Mine's 8934 5222 4765 1246. Anyone can add me but let me know in this thread so I can add you back, otherwise you won't be able to message me. Wish Nintendo gave us a present via Virtual Console today. There was a rumour going around that they were going to give Super Mario Bros away for free as a bonus but oh well.

Gazza: No, don't say Mystery Mine with a family focus. Dreamworld needs a new top-notch pure thrill ride that isn't a flat (much as I enjoy a good carnival-style one). We have a world for the Wiggles. Let's call this Mystery Mine-type attraction 'Blue Sky Mine' and theme it around Midnight Oil Peter Garrett lookalikes with gleaming shaved heads could strut around singing the song as Aboriginal cast members blow their didgeridoos or something

Yes. Off peak (non school holiday/public holiday) periods from 3:30pm.

'Nightmares' Officially Revealed
Gold Coaster replied to Hattori_Hanzo's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Don't bother. It's a very small space and queue times will be large as not that many people will be admitted at a time; even Tomb Raider was better than what is on offer here. Quite the lame show. -
While that would be fun, I'd imagine it as much less comfortable for the ride ops.

yep, I was there too. Not quite to the same scale as Halloween but what can you do? Can't exactly have a scare zone with Evil Santa and his killer reindeer can you? They did a good job though. I found the Looney Tunes Christmas show much better than the Halloween one being that it was all-new, not just the Revue with set decorations/horror costumes and a mere one song (Monster Mash) that related to the night's theme. Batwing was fun at night. And I was given a bag of lollies and a Happy Feet poster on the way out so that was nice. Thought they should have kept it to Santa OR Santa Bugs, not both - and I reckon of those, Santa Bugs.

It is the case - taken from the top of the page is this: Aqua Max Annual Pass is valid for use 364 days of the year. So very smart on Whitewater World's part since many people would have bought a Wet'n'Wild annual pass over DW's simply due to the fact that they could use it anytime, including public holidays and school holidays. *adds WhiteWater World annual pass to Christmas list*

What is with Batwing's Themeing? - You decide
Gold Coaster replied to Coaster Boy 6's topic in Theme Park Discussion
Amen! In complete agreement with you, Ian. I'd rather they spend the money in some other way. I like theming, don't get me wrong... Orlando was a real eyeopener. But Batwing didn't need it. We have a space shot with minimal theming that looks pretty good. That's enough for me. -
That area of bushland leading up to the Big Brother House could be partially used, hey? Not too much so there's less of a security concern when a series is running but put down a woodie and either a new junior coaster perhaps akin to Island of Adventure's Flying Unicorn or a new runaway train ride more akin to the Disney one than what Eureka offers. Or something akin to Expedition Everest... 'Blue Mountain Trek' or something themed around the Three Sisters maybe. Or the Snowy Mountains. Would keep in with Aussie theme and go well with the proximity to the Australian Wildlife Experience.

They were pretty hard. When standing in the dispatch trough at the top, there is quite a bit of suction as those of you who have ridden Tornado will know. We have to watch for each tube to reach a certain point in the funnel before dispatching the next one. So, it can be a bit tricky juggling keeping the tube still and being able to see the funnel. Particularly if there is a lot of weight. So many people have left WNW it's not funny though. Heaps of new staff there now.

Wow. Check out the Movie World splash page... the Space Shot has been added in pride of place and the design coloured accordingly... very nice. I would have kept the colour theme running throughout the site though. The site looks sexy in those tones.

What would the ride ops do in that situation anyway if they did catch someone? Ban the person from the ride for the rest of the day? Chuck him out of the park? What's operating procedure in such a situation?

Happy feet are coming to Warner Bros. Movieworld
Gold Coaster replied to dreamworld_rulz's topic in Theme Park Discussion
They could always do something like the Enchanted Tiki Room with animatronics. That would be pretty sweet. Basically Nemo uses an existing aquarium attraction at Epcot and you ride alongside it in a half-shell capsule. They project the animated fish onto the tank and time the audio accordingly. I suppose they could do a similar thing by projecting the animation onto icecap sets etc, even have an underwater tank which they could fill with animated Orcas etc but don't see this happening. -
Happy feet are coming to Warner Bros. Movieworld

Was at Movie World yesterday and they had the premiere for competition winners. A red carpet dotted with penguin footprints extended from the Movie World archway to the Roxy Theatre and the penguins were there with the snow machine blasting. A kid's dance studio was there with the performers in penguin costumes. Amusingly the studio is actually called Happy Feet Ian Clark of OzCoaster was there as official park photographer, somewhat longer of beard & mingling with/snapping the costumed characters and guests. -
Nah. WhiteWater World is an easy place to spend a day in. The type of experiences offered are just ripe to be redone over and over.

Thanks August. And you can download it from BlueSkyFrog here. Cost is $6.60.

Superman the Escape for Sale!
Gold Coaster replied to AugustVonPolen's topic in Theme Park Discussion
That's actually pretty cheap. Wonder if the bank'd give me a loan if I told them I wanted to buy this and do my own theme park. -
^ All the major retailers: Target, K-Mart, EB Games... Don't know what half-baked stores you are going to. Will be coming out on PC but not for awhile. Graphics are really good from the screenshots I've seen, seem at least as good as RCT3. I'll let you know about the realism once I've played it properly. It's about $69.95 RRP.

Not really a continuation. More of a console-fied version of the genre. That website about sums up everything. I have the PS2 version, PSP version is out in January. Ask me any questions.

I wish we'd gotten the Alf version

WhiteWater World easily. The Bro knocks Aqua Racer for dead. They are adding the timers in but for now it's pretty easy to tell if you've beaten your friends... just look at your relative positions to each other. The plunge down the confined tunnels is a brilliant start then you can get some airtime on the hills. The whole package is a much faster, taller and more fun experience. The Green Room feels and is much steeper and bigger. WhiteWater Mountain is yesterday's news... Temple of Huey has coaster proximity, option to ride backwards, option to choose which tube you use, mix of open and closed flumes etc etc. Calypso Beach? Mm. I'll grant WnW that one but to me it isn't a major drawcard... they'll add a lazy river anyway but for now, relaxing in the Cave of Waves shallows is good enough then you can tackle the waves if you feel like it. I'm OVER the Twister, it's fun but short... to me having the bowl slide and hydrocoaster is worth far more than being able to do the Jetstreams, Sidewinders and Twister. They're much more fun. The theming also really adds to the atmosphere. Joz also hasn't visited WhiteWater World. Not saying your opinion doesn't matter Joz, but let's take it from someone who has actually been to the new park... WhiteWater World has the quality and is the Movie World of water parks, Wet'n'Wild has the quantity and is the Dreamworld. Ahh the irony. If you just have time for one, WhiteWater World is the easy choice.

Construction underway on Movie World's newest ride

IF ONLY. -
Doubt it's the reason but it's an okay bonus I guess. Think it is just the heat that is attracting people... it IS summer after all.

Since I have an annual pass, I'd go in, get my donut, walk out and go to Whitewater World.
